This is a little shop with interesting clothes and gifts. I, however, didn't go to there for clothes and gifts, but went there twice for bubble tea twice while on vacation. She has a large selection of bubble tea flavors and many flavors can be mixed, be made caffeine free, and be made more or less sweet. She also has a variety of milks to choose from for people who are vegan or lactose intolerant. The tapioca pearls also were warm and tasted very fresh. Definitely, a good bubble tea. read more

The George on Main has wonderful, funky clothing and artifacts. This store is UNLIKE any other in Sarasota. I buy clothing for myself and gifts for friends. They have clothes for women, men and even kids. Not only do they have stuff I can't find anywhere else, the prices are VERY reasonable and they seem to always have a big "Sale" section too!!! :) Super nice people....I WILL be coming back soon. read more

They no longer serve boba tea but what a fantastic selection of cool clothing and funky gifts! The George moved from North Trail down to Main Street in Sarasota (just a little west of the intersection w/US-301, across from the AMC Hollywood movie theater and above The Main Bar sandwich shop). This store is a throw-back to unique / interesting clothing stores from my teen years in the 70s. You just don't find this sort of selection and hospitality anymore. And the prices are VERY reasonable, especially for Sarasota. The George has unique clothing, tapestries, knick-knacks and even art work for sale. They have fun fashion shows and other unique events too. My girlfriend and Mom love this place and we'll definitely be back soon! :) read more

Hidden in a small strip mall down the roads from a few museums sits The George. Atmosphere: The George is part thrift store, part spiritual sales and tea/coffee shop. The owner/barista greets you the moment you walk in. There's lot of cool finds here and books for $3.. Tea/Coffee: Delicious. There's plenty of options of milk tea and boba. The milk teas are made fresh and blended too perfection. You can also add jellies. We got matcha tea and taro/mango tea. The tea was packed with flavor and not very sweet, which is personally our preference. Service: With a smile and lots of recommendations. We were on our way to the Regal theater and across the street saw the sign for The George and decided to go in. That was a good decision. The store is filled with vintage clothing from the 70's style and Bohemian too with a large variety to choose from. The owner, Camilla, is welcoming and helpful. Husband bought a shirt and insisted and wearing it out of the store. read more

While this location no longer serve food or boba, the shift in focus to home merchandise and clothing has made it a bit more curated. Good selection of beautiful clothes, funky home decor, and cute tapestries. The store has a free-spirited and unique vibe that makes it such a joy to explore. Lots of natural fiber clothing. My friend and I stopped by The George on N. Trail (US-41; Tamiami Trail) in N. Sarasota and were blown away! First of all, they have all sorts of cool, unique gifts with a wide range of prices. Instead of buying gifts on-line, from now on, I'll just hit The George!! Also, we tried their smoothies and boba-teas...the best we've ever had. It's very rare to get a drink that tastes delicious AND is good for you. They have light fare, so it was nice to do a little shopping, get a bite to eat and hang out in such an interesting store. They have clothes, cards, orginal art-work, antique-y stuff, etc...too much to list. My friend bought a dress and I got a fountain for my backyard. Stepping into this store is like taking a breath of fresh air. I've been here twice now and it's my favorite place in Sarasota. The lovely lady who I believe owns the place is so kind and welcoming it feels like being with family. Beautiful selection of clothes and other cute trinkets, I could easily blow my entire paycheck on tapestries alone. And of course I cannot leave out the fresh tasty drinks from boba to smoothies, customized to your every desire, and a selection of healthy and some more indulgent snacks.
