The owner seems passionate about their food and I found out she has written a great food book which I went out and bought. I have also been to a couple of events that the Parlour has done the catering for and it's up to the same standard as the cafe. I wouldn't hesitate recommending a visit to the cafe or using their catering service. Only thing is that, because it's popular, lunchtimes can be very busy.

Such amazing deliciousness ! They have meat options too ( for you carnivores) everything is super yummy and I'm gonna say healthy.. who really knows the fat amount of calories on a big piece of chocolate cake ;) I had so much for lunch I didn't have room for their amazing looking desserts! Next time I will plan better and get a smaller savory dish so I can eat more sweet ;) I had ordered a sweet potato torte / quiche/ strata? (not sure really which) but it was amazing ! and it came with two side salads also amazing... and I had ordered a soup because well soups are never that huge when I order then normally... well this soup was a whole mean in itself! My husband and I both had to get out soups to go since we had no room left in our bellies! But we left happy and full.. awaiting the next time we could fill up here. Its not a super cheap place, but its fresh and local and homemade and WORTH it! side note: They have just opened an other cafe in Dundee as well, going to try it in two weeks =) But if its the smae food then I have no doubt I'll love it... hopefully will just have more seating b/c this place is WEE!

We're talking free range, gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan, free trade, organic. *breath* Vintage plates, hearty mugs, on-trend innovative menu, home baked cakes and breads, hummous, hot buttered toast, MARMITE, maple & bacon cupcakes, soup, hearty mains etc. Open for breakfast, brunch, lunch and afternoon tea and cakes, this place is well worth seeking out. Dundee isn't the easiest city for those of us who go meat free or choose plant-based diets. Tea and Cakes does it's bit to shift the balance in the right direction. Recommended.

While there we discussed how many stars we would give and how it should be decided. A star for the delicious and unique food~ I devoured a bloody mary blt sandwhich, spicy juicy and to die for! My boyfriend had sweet potato, lentil and peanut butter soup with home made bread. This place should have a cookbook we want these awesome recipes!! A star for being one of the few places in dundee to serve chai lattes! A star for making the chai lattes to perfection! A star for a relaxed and arty atmosphere and quirky decor~ world maps, vintage chairs, branches hanging from the cieling and beautiful lighting And a final star for super service, friendly staff and for giving us two cute little forks so we could share a decadent slice of victoria sandwhich cake! Only good things to say about the t-ann cake cafe you deserve 5 stars!

Still loving everything about this coffee shop! If I were local, this would be my go-to haunt (as…read moreit is, whenever I'm in Edinburgh, I take the train just to come here and then walk the beach). The large interior has an industrial vibe while still feeling warm and welcoming, the courtyard outside is a perfect place to enjoy some sunshine (the upstairs is only open on the weekend). Get a cold brew or an iced latte or an iced Americano with oat milk - it's so good! They also have a few bakery items, including a vegan banana bread that is DELICIOUS (one of the best I've ever had). It's a thick, moist slab loaded with nuts and dried cranberries maybe? There's just something "more" to it that makes it special. I recently bought beans (flavor notes of "jammy" and "honey"; it's SO GOOD), and it seems like I can reuse the canister for a discounted refill the next time I'm here! I believe they even grind them if you want. They also have some really cool merch (tote bags [I own], beanies, shirts, etc). #CoffeeAndSocialSolidarity

We came to North Berwick from Edinburgh for the day via a very easy 30 min train ride. Steampunk is located in the back of a building on the main street of North Berwick. It is sparsely decorated but the theme seems to be related to bicycles. We stopped in for midday iced lattes and a snack. The lattes were good and I appreciate their to go cups and straws are all paper based. The granola bar we grabbed did not impress me at face value but wow was it delicious. Like chewy granola with some cinnamon added in. It was the perfect sweet pairing to the latte. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating here.
