Server was very chatty & helpful, but they lose a star for not coping very well with a sudden influx of customers, when we finished our mains, the plates weren't cleared away or our dessert order taken, despite standing at the counter pointedly checking out the cake display or trying to catch the server's eye for a good 15 minutes. Normally this wouldn't be a problem but we barely made it to the cinema on time to catch the start of the movie. . . Overall fantastic food, but perhaps another member of staff needed at busy times.

Sometimes they taste a little stale. It's a small place, but there's more seating than you think - don't overlook the stairs! The service can be a bit slow, so only sit in if you're not in a rush.

We looked a few times but it wasn't until on our last two days we found the Old Mill café, (turn left out of the Travel lodge front entrance and walk down the road until you see an arch entrance into a courtyard) What a find, small, clean, very friendly and what a great breakfast, they also offer other meals/drinks etc. If you are in Dundee this is a place to find for a great breakfast, just wish we had found it on our first day!!
