My wife likes the ambiance and food, while I like the coffee here. The owner is very nice and friendly. Been there on a few occasions.

The owner seems passionate about their food and I found out she has written a great food book which I went out and bought. I have also been to a couple of events that the Parlour has done the catering for and it's up to the same standard as the cafe. I wouldn't hesitate recommending a visit to the cafe or using their catering service. Only thing is that, because it's popular, lunchtimes can be very busy.

Such amazing deliciousness ! They have meat options too ( for you carnivores) everything is super yummy and I'm gonna say healthy.. who really knows the fat amount of calories on a big piece of chocolate cake ;) I had so much for lunch I didn't have room for their amazing looking desserts! Next time I will plan better and get a smaller savory dish so I can eat more sweet ;) I had ordered a sweet potato torte / quiche/ strata? (not sure really which) but it was amazing ! and it came with two side salads also amazing... and I had ordered a soup because well soups are never that huge when I order then normally... well this soup was a whole mean in itself! My husband and I both had to get out soups to go since we had no room left in our bellies! But we left happy and full.. awaiting the next time we could fill up here. Its not a super cheap place, but its fresh and local and homemade and WORTH it! side note: They have just opened an other cafe in Dundee as well, going to try it in two weeks =) But if its the smae food then I have no doubt I'll love it... hopefully will just have more seating b/c this place is WEE!

The pancakes were delicious, I got them with blueberries and they were so sweet but just the right amount. You really get you moneys worth. We also had some curly fries and a full Scottish breakfast which were great. The ambiance was nice, and what you would expect for a Saturday brunch spot. There was surprisingly no wait, however, so we just walked right in! Large menu so I'm sure everyone could find something they'd like. There is also a full coffee & tea bar for all the caffeine needs. Overall, a good find !!

Of course, I have a special soft and mushy section in my heart for all things pancake, so I was instantly drawn to this little nook. Situated across from a McDonalds, where expectations *must* be lowered, The Pancake Place is a little respite from the hustle and bustle of the morning crowds, where everyone is in a hurry to get a coffee, get a pastry, walk-eat-and-talk-on-the-phone, hurry, Hurry, HURRY! A nice diner like The Pancake Place was the perfect spot for me to have a hot cup of coffee and a stack of flapjacks, while I read my book. I got a Bacon Stack and, expecting the bacon to be perched on the edge of my plate, I was delighted to find that it was nestled in between pancakes, like a little treasure hunt! The 'maple-flavoured syrup' was a little too sweet for my liking, but still ok; and the pancakes themselves were light and fluffy, compared to the dense bricks one normally finds. The service was great, and I felt well-attended to, but not harassed. Delightfully pleased with The Pancake Place, and my expectations of the place were met perfectly, as it is exactly what it claims to be: a place for pancakes.

The service almost always was super attentive and always made sure we were taken care of. 10/10 recommend the millionaire bars they were almost always delicious and moist I also think it might depend on the baker whose baking too which batch and cutting the bars and desserts because somedays the pieces are different or taste just a little bit better but regardless always tasty! However the only one we did not like surprisingly was the carrot cake. It was just weirdly dense not cakie and like juicy its a bit weird to explain but just wasnt our favorite. Everything else though awesome and the food is just superb! I think my favorite was the vegan fry or haggis toastie if you like a bit of sweet and salty combo! If you go on the weekends however I do recommend having a booking or you most likely wont get in till later in the day. I'll miss you hideaway the best food!

Having had brunch here previously, heading here for lunch was something I was excited about. It was very busy this time round so service was understandably a little slower. We did have a short wait for a table but it really wasn't long till we were seated considering it was peak lunching hour. Oh my word. Sandwich heaven. I had the bacon and mozzarella baguette with hot salsa and guacamole and it was absolutely delicious. Lots of cheese, lots of bacon, lots of yum. The Hideaway is just the perfect spot for tea and cake, I definitely want to sample their baked goods soon. Very, very soon!

The large interior has an industrial vibe while still feeling warm and welcoming, the courtyard outside is a perfect place to enjoy some sunshine (the upstairs is only open on the weekend). Get a cold brew or an iced latte or an iced Americano with oat milk - it's so good! They also have a few bakery items, including a vegan banana bread that is DELICIOUS (one of the best I've ever had). It's a thick, moist slab loaded with nuts and dried cranberries maybe? There's just something "more" to it that makes it special. I recently bought beans (flavor notes of "jammy" and "honey"; it's SO GOOD), and it seems like I can reuse the canister for a discounted refill the next time I'm here! I believe they even grind them if you want. They also have some really cool merch (tote bags [I own], beanies, shirts, etc). #CoffeeAndSocialSolidarity

We came to North Berwick from Edinburgh for the day via a very easy 30 min train ride. Steampunk is located in the back of a building on the main street of North Berwick. It is sparsely decorated but the theme seems to be related to bicycles. We stopped in for midday iced lattes and a snack. The lattes were good and I appreciate their to go cups and straws are all paper based. The granola bar we grabbed did not impress me at face value but wow was it delicious. Like chewy granola with some cinnamon added in. It was the perfect sweet pairing to the latte. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating here.
