Though I have to admit at times it can be a tinsy bit pricey for those on the budget.... but its so cute and has so many imports you can't find in St. Andrews that the premium is worth it. They have my favourite type of Amaretti cookies which I was super excited about! But I have to say I couldn't afford their Truffle oil (go to Morrisons, they have it too... and cheap but probably not the same quality as the Little Italian Shop). When my parents where visiting we came here and got some cheese and pasta and pesto sauce (and wine of course) and made a meal from this place. And (don't hate me for mentioning it again) but the shop is just so cute that I can't help but love it! Sometimes I get a little worried though when I walk by and I don't see anyone inside.... The cake was moist and fresh with a beautiful white hi plate icing with coconut on top. It was all so delicious! The deli also has coffee and lots more on the menu. As well they gave a small selection of gourmet deli items, fresh free-range eggs, cheeses, and lovely looking produce. Well worth a visit!

The deli counter is the best- there are not many places like this in Dundee and its great to be able to get freshly made up sandwiches that arent of the Greggs ilk:) THe homemade soup is also great, and available in take away cups which is a great idea. Staff are all really friendly, always have a bit of a chat with them. Altogether a great place!

The service was friendly, but super slow. The table behind us complained that they had ordered 30 minutes and still not gotten their food. Our food was also slow. We wanted to order a salad which was not available until noon. It was 11:45 and they told us the kitchen didn't want to make it because it wasn't noon yet. By the time we got the food, it was 12:15 ... so I guess maybe they could have made it anyway since they took so long! Finally, they gave us the wrong check ... it was almost double what we had ordered. The waitress apologized, but I think this is the first time this has happened to me. Server was very chatty & helpful, but they lose a star for not coping very well with a sudden influx of customers, when we finished our mains, the plates weren't cleared away or our dessert order taken, despite standing at the counter pointedly checking out the cake display or trying to catch the server's eye for a good 15 minutes. Normally this wouldn't be a problem but we barely made it to the cinema on time to catch the start of the movie. . . Overall fantastic food, but perhaps another member of staff needed at busy times.
