Your Yelp friend in Scotland. The locals DO love this place. They haven't made it a tourist trap.

Ok. Efficient. Too cute... almost. Seemed higher priced than other nearby comparable places. This was where William and Kate hung out when they went to college ("uni") here in St. Andrews if you care about the royals. I do not.

I wandered in here looking for a bathroom and had no idea it was where Kate and William used to go for coffee! They are very humble about it here, inside it looks like a regular coffee shop. The only way I knew was because of the banner on the window. I ordered a chocolate milkshake for about 4 pounds. It was good but a bit too milky for my taste. Everything is clean and well lit, the staff is very nice, and the service was fast.

A very small place with a lot of people. I ordered the Northpoint American Brunch, which consist of fried egg, two pancakes, and British bacon. Nothing too exciting and the taste was good. Perhaps if I come again and get something more exciting I would rate higher. The price was reasonable. Also my friend told me that Kate and Will were here for meals.

We came back, and the pizzas were really good. We called to order take out, then picked them up on our walk home. We took them back to our place, which is a fairly long walk, and they were quite tasty, but they would probably be even better when eaten fresh from the oven. Even so we have be back twice for takeout pizzas.

I mean like ridiculous... for take away it about £2.75 for a huge panini (though their panini's are actually on baguettes). No matter what combination I make up... I once just had cheese & onion... and yesterday I had Tikka chicken with onion cheese and pesto (which was surprisingly AMAZING) ... the sandwich always seems to come out well. The sit-in menu is a little more pricey but I wouldn't really want to sit-in this place because it is kind of small and crowded and the limited seating they do have is on a lower level. My advice is to get take away and find a nice bench or take it back to your flat or hotel. Though I am not a pizza person I heard from the friend at lunch that they also do great pizzas that are also pretty cheap. Sometimes I forget about this little shop, but I never seem to be disappointed when I come her. Cheap and drool worthy? That deserves five stars!

Arguably the most depressing Starbucks in the world. You walk in and think you're in a hospital…read morewaiting room. The lighting is awful. The furniture is awful. The floors synthetic. It's such a huge missed opportunity because if ever a Starbucks should be cool it's this one. In the heart of the quaintest college high street. It should look and feel like the set of friends. Instead it's so sad. But I should say, the staff are lovely. And I'm sorry for them. Come on Starbucks !!! Get your act together !!! Get sofas in here. Books. Magazines. Good lighting. It's not hard. It just requires some creativity and customer insights. Thanks.

If the weather is suitable enough, I recommend taking your drink to have down by the harbour or the cathedral or even on the quad by St Salvator's Chapel. This is St Andrews, darling, and this is Starbucks. One might hope it would be a nicer Starbucks, and, to be fair, they have made improvements over the last few years to the interior. It's one of the smallest starbucks I've been inside, but it's always buzzing with people. The way they've remodelled the seating has made it more suitable for a student town with more bar-style seating (great for sitting at with your laptop) rather than just tables (which always made the place WAY to crowded). Despite valiant efforts for quality independent coffee shops, nothing has lasted, so why not stop at Starbucks or another chain if you're in town?
