Our first time out we tried ALL of the tacos. No one meat was left out. All were flavorful but the CHICKEN, was top tier. Rarely do you find chicken tacos cooked with such FLAVOR in each bite! The salsa roja on the side has a nice heat, not too much but absolutely flavorful. If you're hungry then 3 tacos will fill you up, but if you want left overs we suggest adding a quesadilla. Its makes a nice full meal especially since it comes with rice and beans. You will easily have another meal or its a great combination to share with a friend!! Be sure to check out this taco truck! The staff is very pleasant and food is cooked fresh! This is a great stop for a Taco Tuesday, or any night of the week! We love Taqueria El Sabor, trust us, We Know Good Food! Overall, it was okay. The standout item was definitely the plantains. I had the breakfast platter…read morewith scrambled eggs, bacon, pancakes, and plantains. The eggs were good, the bacon was just okay and not very crispy, the pancakes were very good, and the plantains were excellent. My wife ordered the Rock N Bowl. It was fine, but the tortilla bowl itself was the best part. The rice, chicken, and corn salsa were all decent, but nothing really stood out. I'd come back for the plantains and pancakes, but the rest of the food was pretty average. The ambience was great with good music but the fountain drinks were terrible. The soda machine had no ice (had to go to the bar for ice) and all the soda was flat. We had to let staff know and they went to the bar and gave us a much better soda. So overall for a first time visit and impression it was ok.

FOOD: My sister ordered a spicy marg that she said was really good with the tajin rim. I got tacos and she got loaded tots. the tacos were good, although it was only 2 because it was off the happy hour menu, they were banging; the loaded tots were amazing as well and it was A LOT OF FOOD, also on the happy hour menu, so it was totally worth the price (tbh it's escaping me how much it was) SERVICE: quick and to the point. she was at the end of her shift so i get it, esepcially because she had to deal with the rush for the game BUT she was super kind regardless. coming back for sure.

As a native born Texican, I'm always a little wary of Tex Mex places around here...as Lyle Lovett…read morefamously stated, never eat Mexican food east of the Mississippi or north of Dallas. Words that I've lived by my entire life. But being a Tex-pat here in NoVA has had me exploring...and El Paso has been a restaurant that I keep coming back to. I've never been to this location before, but another app had mentioned that it was 3.4mi from my work, so I figured I'd try it out...I've been having a hankering for enchiladas this week and figured I'd scratch that itch. Since it's Friday, I decided to try the Enchiladas Rancheras, described as 2 cheese enchiladas topped with beef or chicken, served with lettuce, a tomato (not needed, I will omit this next time), sour cream and a side of rice and beans. Sounded perfect! I paired it with a bowl of queso and a water, because I'm still on the clock, otherwise it would have been a cold Modelo or swirl margarita. What was brought out to me was not lunch, but a time machine...taking me back to my college days and a meal that I've been chasing for over 20 years. The beef was stewed and tender, and paired with the cheese enchiladas it reminded me of hitting up Taco Cabana after the bars, ordering a carne guisada and a side of queso, mixing it all up together and diving in with chips. I wasn't planning on inhaling the whole plate (and queso too) but I did and even though I am in gastric pain, I do not regret my decision. Even though I'm sure I looked the fool, I closed my eyes while eating it and I was back there in College Station at 2:30am, listening to Cross Canadian Ragweed and having my whole life ahead of me. The food was THAT good...it actually took me back in time. The service was also excellent and attentive, and I wish I had the bravery to go back into the kitchen and shake everyone's hands. I will be coming back, I will be ordering it again (sans tomato) and I will be putting myself into a food coma once again. If you're looking for delicious Tex Mex food in the area, as a native Texan and a descendent of the Old Three Hundred, I highly recommend El Paso...they're a little bit of home right here in Northern Virginia.

However, once inside, my experience was much better than expected. The food arrived hot, was delicious, and the portion sizes were generous. My only concern was the service. I had to repeatedly ask for the waitress to return to our table to check on us and provide additional items we needed. Aside from that, the food quality and value made for an enjoyable dining experience.
