Hidden gem. Wonderful place to cool off and enjoy a comfort meal. We stumbled on this location when looking for a good place to eat. It does t appear to be much from the outside since it is located in a small strip mall. When u walk in you are immediately greeted by the hostess. We were seated under 15 minutes on a busy Saturday night with a group of 7. Waitress immediately took our drink orders and had them back in less then 5 minutes and ready to take our order. Appetizers were out in less then 5 minutes and the kids meals followed shortly. I always appreciate when the kids meals come out quickly. Adult meals were about 5 more minutes. Everything was amazing and cooked to perfection. This will be a must every time we are in Boji. read more

Restaurant is dark inside, long and skinny layout. Food was pretty decent, seemed a tad overpriced for what we got but taste was good. Did have to wait a little longer than we'd like for our food. We did go on a Saturday night when it was busy. read more

We could not have been more happy with our dinner tonight at the Outrigger. My brother LOVES Walleye and always has to have it when he travels to the Midwest. It ranked in his top 3 of his life and he finished it all, which rarely happens, but not before letting try. It was perfectly cooked light and flaky with loads of flavor. The salmon did not disappoint at all either. Loved the grilled flavor and the bernaises sauce added that extra yum. The asparagus was cooked perfrct with a little crisp left in them and the twice baked potatoes were amazing. Being a trained chef, I have no complaints and really enjoyed every bite. read more

Stopped in on a Friday night without reservations. The wait staff was ultra friendly. The server was super nice and accommodating. Homemade ranch dressing. Rolls served with herbed butter. What a hidden gem! It felt like walking into an old supper club with dim lighting and candles on the tables. They have a great menu, great food, and great service. They have a very limited kids menu but were still kid friendly. The walleye and salmon were excellent and the kids loved the chicken Alfredo and cheeseburger. We will definitely be back! read more

Outrigger is the locals dinner experience in Okoboji. They are open year round, and they know how to serve great food with a smile. A VERY typical midwestern restaurant! No frills. Salads are iceberg lettuce and cheese. Sides are typically frozen veggies from a bag (major downfall-how hard is it to steam fresh veggies?). Call drinks are a great deal @$8. Broasted Chicken is a fav. Steaks are seasoned well, sometimes to cover up less expensive cuts. Any potato side is a safe bet. read more

So good!!! We made reservations online through Google reservations (super easy!)...we found out once they got there it was a brand new process, but it all went really smoothly! The menu is similar to a lot of the other nicer places in town...but the food is SO much better! I got the salmon, and my boyfriend got the steak tips - both were amazing, and the service was incredible. Everyone was very friendly and helpful...and all staff were wearing masks. read more

The best in the area. Quality food convenient location solid service. Their prime rib is tasty. I would probably pass on the calamari if we ordered again. Dessert was exceptional. They're expensive but that's to be expected for a good meal in Okaboji. Would recommend without hesitation for a date night or upscale family dinner. read more

Yay Outrigger! Our meal was fantastic- start to finish! We had: cheese curds, the spinach and artichoke dip, entrees for 4, wine, desert- everything was terrific. Our favorite Okoboji steak house / night club, a great atmosphere, fun guests, super food...all why it's one of the local's favorites! My own favorites...the small bar steak, blacked salmon salad, fried chicken, scallops... and snacks like chicken dummies, chislic (marinated steak tips), artichoke dip...and twice baked potatoes. We were looking for a dinner spot in Okoboji during the "off season" and ended up here because of the limited dining options we noticed driving around. It felt like I travelled back to the 80's in terms of ambiance. The salads were awful. My wife went with the chicken salad and it was a piece of grilled chicken on top of some colorless dried out iceberg bag lettuce with a tired looking cucumber and a couple mini carrot sticks thrown in. On a brighter note I did enjoy the broasted chicken, as it was the first time I tried it. Go with the white meat version- not very healthy but tasted great. read more
