I scheduled a lesson with Mark Parson, and it was the best lesson that I've ever had. Upon…read morearrival, Mark had me hit about a dozen balls with whatever club I felt the most comfortable with. Mark suggested that I put my left thumb in the 1 o'clock position and open the club face about 1 degree. I then hit another dozen balls, and immediately my ball contact was 50% much better and more consistent. He then noticed that I couldn't do a full turn, so he suggested opening up my left toe about 30 degrees and trying to rotate my right heel to hit an imaginary range bucket with my right ankle on the turn. I hit some more balls, and I could definitely feel a big difference with my follow through. I love the fact that Mark looked at my grip, swing, and form, and didn't tell me what the textbook says. He basically took what I had, and tweaked it by making suggestions and explaining the fundamentals behind it. I still have a lot of practicing to do at the range, which I hate, but I can't wait to see my scores 2-3 strokes better than what I usually hit. 'm looking forward to seeing Mark again in July/August so that he can help me with my short game. I highly recommend this Mark and the MC Golf Academy for all skill levels.

I can definitely say that I am a significantly better golfer that I was when I first started. Coach Griff was able to dissect my swing and make the necessary adjustments to show direct improvements on the course. The entire staff at Golftec is super friendly and welcoming! I always felt like a student of the game when I was there and never felt like just a customer. They really utilize the technology to offer you the most you can get for your buck. The app is really cool, you can analyze your lessons each week and see videos of your swing progression. I had a great experience and would recommend it to anyone who is considering lessons. Pro: they reimbursed us after telling us the ranger would not stop harassing us, and suggested we just stop playing. Con: ranger was rude and made fun of beginners swing/attempting to play golf. Note: one of our crew was a more experienced golfer and was not given this same treatment with a group of guys. Based on other posts it sounds like the Cove may have an issue with women?

The view from the patio, Chincoteague Bay and Chincoteague in the distance is beautiful also. Service was prompt and the server, Christy ( I believe ) was friendly. I ordered an alcoholic drink ($9) and the 12 oz NY Strip ($35) with the vegetable of the day (California Medley) and garlic mashed potatoes. I asked for a glass of wine to accompany the meal ($6.50). The supposedly garlic mashed potatoes were terrible. I was served what happens to mashed potatoes when you overwork them, sticky starchy mess. The "vegetable of the day" was way over "cooked/steamed/boiled". It was a wilted mess. The steak I will say was cooked perfectly and was delicious. The server eventually came back to the table and asked how everything was. That is when I complained about the potatoes. She asked if I want something else but I was already more than half way done with my steak so I said no. I have been at this restaurant in the past. We would come here after golf and have chicken wings and beer. The menu had 6 "jumbo" chicken wings for $14. I think that's close to what we paid including the beer. Would I come back? Not for dinner, maybe a beer after golf that would be it.

Went here this morning with my 8 year old daughter and a couple friends. This happened in front of another group of people who were appalled. This clown was told that I just spent $72 at this place and he told me he can't help that. He then began to threaten to have us removed if I didn't comply with his nonsense. My daughter was very upset and after some choice words with this spineless pansy he cowered into the store to not be seen again. I am local and we have been going there for years. Never again and nobody we know or family will ever go again. Watch who you act a fool with. We carry weight. He also is a key board commander so his response should tell the story also.
