Consequently, I expected the same in the UK. Never saw it. Quite to the contrary, I've never been treated so well. The British treated me better than my own family, which might not be saying much. One day while my British girlfriend (We've since split up) was at work I walked over the Old Manor Pub in Walton-on-Thames during the lunch hour. I expected either anti-American sentiment or at the very least, a cold shoulder. Again the locals and I had a great time drinking your superior British beer and exchanging anecdotes.
