Just gotta say, went in today and got my usual bi-weekly beard trim from Wendy. Decided to spend a lil more time and money for the facial and even got my first post-pandemic bald fade. SO AMAZING!!! The time and attention to detail that Wendy puts into your care is what's best. I never feel rushed, she has the best touch and uses great products! My skin still feels great -- hours later! LOVE The One Stop Studio!!!!

Wendy's a pro!! I usually break out when other barbers use a straight razor on my neck or face, but she's exceptionally clean and thoughtful and I never get that problem. My skin looks and feels great. Above and beyond a regular haircut & shave. Flexible scheduling too, which I appreciate with my odd work hours. Hit her up!

First time trying this place because I was looking for a new barber near me and Wendy killed it!! Got a burst fade with a beard trim and I love it. Service was A1 - hot towel shave and massage, and she is great to listen and talk to. Definitely coming back!

The Janet Jackson braid The One Stop Salon 2922 Western Ave, LA, CA

Impeccable braids - African box braids and/or knotless braids are just a few of the styles that the stylist at The One Stop Studio can do for you! Yes, you read that right. I am nearly a perfectionist. Much to my surprise in 2016, I met the stylist of a lifetime! Her name is Wendy, and she is the entrepreneur of the year as a stylist from my view. Back in 2016, I met Wendy while she was a stylist located in the Fox Hills Mall. The style that I owned back then was short with a tapered bob. Gradually, I decided to allow that style to change. One day out of the blue, I asked for African braids - a style of hair that I had never worn although I am an African-American career woman. Without hesitation, my stylist (Wendy) did not disappoint. Over the years, she has helped me to create hair styles that I prefer to form, or to select styles from an array of photos posted on Google. One of which is the Janet Jackson style in braids. Now, after more than 7 years, I am still excited every time The One Stop Studio does my "hair do!" Never have I ever been disappointed. No doubt every time Wendy does my braid styles, whether box or knotless braids, the received compliments are fabulous and that make me feel great about my stylist at The One Stop Studio. Text and post the style of your desires to The One Stop Studio now so that you can experience my favorite salon/stylist! Plus, after having worn a short hair style with a tapered bob for years. So, my first hair braids were challenging but beautiful. Now, the length of my hair is beyond my shoulders. Besides, Wendy is always accommodating, and no hair do is too much to do. She does exactly what I ask for and exceeds my expectations - every time! I would write a million + reviews. See for yourself what Wendy can really do with hair. And, in terms of men's haircuts, she is the bomb. Go To The One Stop Studio now...

Been going to Wendy for a couple of years now and it's always been both solid fades and great customer service.

More importantly, I needed someone who could handle Asian-textured hair, which many barbers struggle with. Enter Kei. He was also open about where my hair needed more growth before making cuts so I knew what areas would still be a challenge afterwards. Bring photos of your cuts you've loved. Kei uses them to dial in your style with precision. The bonus? The setting itself. You're sitting in a vintage Kochs Chicago barber chair that swivels toward their original hair wash stations, all housed in a historic 1920s building steps from the Eastern Columbia bldg in DTLA's Historic Core. The place has legitimate old-school character. Highly recommend. Book ahead.

Inside there was a collection of streetwear for sale influenced by hip hop culture which were also the defining sounds of the playlist heard throughout my visit. I have a fairly simple understanding of hairstyles and proper hair maintenance. The barber Javin asked me questions about my usual hairstyle and went through suggestions regarding trimming technique. Ultimately, I went with low fade with and a touch up on the top. He mentioned my two hair whorls and overall head shape provided some considerations on what he thought would look natural, which I appreciated. In the end, the fade was perfect. Afterwards I went in for quick shampoo and conditioner which targeted my dandruff. While the location is somewhat out of the way for me, I can definitely rely on their dedication and handiwork.

But when he asked me what hair cut I wanted and showed him a picture of a burst fade Mohawk and he proceeded to ask have you had this haircut before. Then I showed him a picture of me with the haircut I wanted (which was a burst fade Mohawk) and he proceeded to say "is that really you". This was at the beginning of the hair cut. Mid way he asked a second time if I had ever had this hair cut before which I answered yes. Also at the beginning he had mentioned how much are we taking off the top. I mentioned just a little bit and we can work our way down. When it came to cutting the top I feel he had gone too low. At that point I just wanted to get out of the chair. I waited 2 days to post this just to see if my hair needed to settle in since I went from a wild lions mane to what ever this short hair cut I have now. But no matter how much I attempt to style my hair it just looks dumb. My feedback to Hin is if you aren't confident in cutting someone's hair then please just say so. Or if your specialty is clean cuts then tell your client so they can make the decision of sitting in the chair. I may come back to try with someone else to cut my hair since I feel the people here have some skill.

When I was there I was offered a drink and I chose the whiskey. I hate to say it, as a drinker thus kinda frustrated me because it was so little of an amount. I get it but dang I wanted some more. Valerie was my manicurist and she took her time giving me the full works on my very easy hands and toes because they were pretty short already but she was meticulous with everything. She did a great job. I liked the whole thing but as I look at some of the reviews the one thing I never hear anyone mention about is the price and at $150 for a Mani pedi some may say it's expensive, sheesh, I'm saying it. Lol Other than the price I enjoyed the experience as opposed to going to a regular nail shop. There are no drinks at some of the places I've been too. I'd do again, when I hit the lottery. I enjoyed it though and everything was finished in about an hour and ten.
