My mother and I went the day before a Friday evening event. My mother was not asked what length for her manicure before her natural nails were cut short. She had been growing her nails out (and not broken a single one through a recent home move!), so this was very upsetting to her. She did not want fake nails of any kind. We left with goopy paint jobs and bubbles. We determined we should have done our nails at home ourselves instead and received better quality results. The total cost for both basic mani pedis, including tips, came to over $300. It is now three days post French manicure and paint is missing from one full finger. Pictures included. One is from day of mani pedi - fingers, both my mother and myself. Other photos are of French hands and feet. Honestly, I would give negative stars if the app gave it as an option. The owner chastised our technician in front of us for the job done, and sent her to the back of house where we did not see her again. The owner only became involved after my mother was visibly upset, taking the file from the technician and having began to attempt to salvage her nails herself, in tears. This lasted ten minutes before someone went to get the owner, as there was definite tension building and it became noticeable to other clientele -who had loudly began specifying their nail requirements to their individual technicians, having witnessed the scene at our table. We were charged full price for services.

I made an appointment online today for signature service with whoever was available. There were two appointments available and I picked the earlier one at 4:45. Rather than drive home (to another town) I waited in Joplin. Read a book for nearly 2 hours outside Ulta. Went in a few minutes before my appointment time and my assigned stylist was working on someone else (who still had wet hair). She said she'd hurry. I waited. At 5:20 (40 minutes later) she was still working on the other person and had not checked in with me. I asked another Ulta employee why my appointment had been booked if she was not available. They confirmed the store was closing at 6:00 and since I'd booked an hour appointment, I could reschedule. This response showed an epic lack of understanding of how frustrating this situation was. And in no way reassured me this would not happen again. I am so disappointed.

He came from 17 hrs away and his gift was so thoughtful and the girl on the phone told me it wouldn't be a problem at all. I explained he didn't live around here and I didn't want to hurt his feelings. Her and her boss I'm assuming because she had to have her ok the refund were so busy talking to a younger girl about what product she should try and the girl helping me put my refund back on my sons card. I said you told me you could give me store credit or a refund. I said so now because they weren't focused on me I have to now let my son know his card will have a $117 credit because I was going to get the perfume I knew I liked and she said sorry that was my mistake. I said so I just pretty much handed in my Mother's Day gift. I'm not calling my son and asking him to send me that money. Her and her boss both were pretty much like sorry our mistake but nothing they can do. They need to focus on what they are doing mostly when it comes to a gift refund. It would of even made it better if they acted like they even cared. If I was the boss I could definitely say I would of figured a way to act like I was sorry. That's not the way to treat your costumers and expect them to come back. I have a daughter and nieces and we will definitely shop with Sephora from now on.

My hair was…read moregetting to the point where it looked frizzy and fried even after trimming it, and even though it had taken me years of forgoing heat styling and harsh chemical treatments to grow it out, I had 4 to 6 inches that were pretty damaged. Even so, I felt that this was still a big risk for me. I've always been wary of stylists that love nothing more than chopping away at hair with no regard for the person's decisions. On top of that, I had a big presentation the next day, and my wedding about a week and a half afterward. I felt at ease with Nicole. She was so sweet, welcoming and funny. She was very gentle with my hair and really listened to me when I described the result I wanted. And I really love how my hair turned out! I felt very relaxed and comfortable with what she was doing. Probably the biggest plus is that I'm a reserved person, but I genuinely enjoyed talking with Nicole while she worked... I was almost a chatterbox. It's a cute little salon. I'll be going back, and I recommend it to anyone looking for an empathetic stylist.
