Never have I ever gotten a French Mani Pedi, where they simply put white paint on the tips with a clearcoat.... No pink natural base to cover imperfections. My mother and I went the day before a Friday evening event. My mother was not asked what length for her manicure before her natural nails were cut short. She had been growing her nails out (and not broken a single one through a recent home move!), so this was very upsetting to her. She did not want fake nails of any kind. We left with goopy paint jobs and bubbles. We determined we should have done our nails at home ourselves instead and received better quality results. The total cost for both basic mani pedis, including tips, came to over $300. It is now three days post French manicure and paint is missing from one full finger. Pictures included. One is from day of mani pedi - fingers, both my mother and myself. Other photos are of French hands and feet. Honestly, I would give negative stars if the app gave it as an option. The owner chastised our technician in front of us for the job done, and sent her to the back of house where we did not see her again. The owner only became involved after my mother was visibly upset, taking the file from the technician and having began to attempt to salvage her nails herself, in tears. This lasted ten minutes before someone went to get the owner, as there was definite tension building and it became noticeable to other clientele -who had loudly began specifying their nail requirements to their individual technicians, having witnessed the scene at our table. I came in for a simple pedicure and left before anything was done. When I asked for different colors, the technician laughed, said something to the other technicians and they started laughing while looking at me. It felt very unprofessional. On top of that, there was a large black hair in the pedicure basin--completely unacceptable. I chose to leave, but the manager followed me to my car and stood in my door trying to get me to come back inside, which made the situation even more uncomfortable even after telling her I was leaving and asking her to move. She denied that they were talking about me. I'm sure Google Translate would show differently. Not a relaxing or hygienic experience. I won't be returning. And when I went back in by the guy that was doing my nails forgot to my the clear coat on one of my hands. He was upset and told the lady beside that it was a big deal and yes it was very much a big deal I had my boyfriend military OCS graduation. So yes it was a big deal! Went in for a pedicure. Paid extra for some extra treatment as my feet had some gnarly calluses. It was a "feel good" appointment but lacked. She worked on the calluses but once I was home I could see she hadn't done much to alleviate the problem. Guess it's back to soaking my feet @ home & using the Dremel on the calluses. read more

I took my cousin to treat her! Needless to say it was not the experience that I had in the past. The guy that usual does my nails was not there. The color I asked for is not what either of us got. My nails were supposed to be red with gold chrome. Nope! Got a silver color chrome. We did this to have Chiefs colors. Not Silver! Then we went over to have pedicures and ask for pearl color. Nope! White with sparkles. Not what we asked for. Plus she was talking to her friend next to her and burned my toe with the drill. I am diabetic and those type of things can cause me a major problem. I had a pedicure. The guy spilled some chemicals on my foot and burned my foot. It hurts so bad. They did cut up cucumber and put on my foot as well as some aloe vera. They also did provide some burn ointment on it as well. Nothing seem to help. They did however, charge me full price. I do not think I should have been charged for my pedicure. I walked in after work at 6 PM on a Wednesday with no appointment and they got me in for a gel nail mani/pedi right away. I was thankful they were able to accommodate my procrastination because I have a wedding to get to this weekend. I work in healthcare so this photo is not a glowing example of their best work because I did the most basic thing you can choose - but it looks clean and is what I wanted. They offer refreshments and it was overall very pleasant. They have really cute mini pedi chairs great for kid'The only critiques I could add for improvement would be some assurance on sanitation - as far as cuticle trimmers, etc. It would be awesome to see some of these items placed in a cold sterile or in a bin in front of me knowing that used items are thrown away or going to be sanitized properly and not reused (this would also give assurance to some other reviewers who questioned hygiene. There's been a lot of horror stories on transmissible disease in nail salons so it's great marketing to give customers peace of mind). I was also charged for "French-$5" and I did not get French nails. I am hoping this was either an honest mistake or somehow a charge related to my gel nails but I never did French tips. I didn't care enough to address it when paying so that's on me, but I'd be clear on what you want and what you will pay for! If I go back and it happens again I'll inquire on what that charge is for.....All in all it was a nice place and I'd go back based on my experience. read more

I called several hours earlier in the day to see if I needed an appt since I had never been here before. They told me No. just walk in. I did and had to sign up digitally and on a yellow notepad. Apparently neither meant they would call names in order because I sat in the waiting room and realized they were helping the people they saw. Not calling names. So I moved away from the window Into sight. Apparently one technique for making you wait longer is to soak your fingers in gel polish for 30 min before actually being helped. After 30 min I asked how long until I would be helped. The lady asked when do you need to be out by. Unfortunately that shouldn't matter. I personally feel if you are going to have to wait longer than 20 min to be seen. Tell the person. Let them decide if it will fit their schedule or not. Don't manipulate them into staying by sticking their hands in chemicals which aren't healthy for you and not answering their questions. Then I was finally seen. Instead of the relaxing 1 hour manicure I'm used to and was treating myself to after working 10 hour days every day for a week I had a 20 min manicure. It wasn't a great job. There was weird texture on my nails I asked him to fix mid polish. These pictures are two days later. The nail polish peeled off. This is the whole reason for gel. It's supposed to last 3 weeks! I just left there today and the only reason I am giving even 2 stars is because the lady that did my pedicure was amazing. Her alone deserves all 5 stars but my hands.. I went there to get dip and from the moment I sat down "Henry" wanted to do his own thing,.. Gave me a full set and did my dip with a brush which I DO NOT like bc makes the nail fat and round as opposed to thin and skinny with the dip technique.. He wanted to change my color then wanted to do french, then gel.. and I made it clear I just wanted plain red dip.. My fingers are severely cut as he did the whole thing in under 30 minutes,.. My nails look like crap and I paid $60 for something that should have been $45 and I would have MUCH preferred. Waste of money and time and I DO NOT recommend Henry to ANYONE. Oh and clearly states free wi-fi on their page but I had to hotspot and use my own data because the 3 people I asked said they do not provide the wi-fi password.. Lux's is a great place to get your nails done! I made appointments for a Friday afternoon, we did have to wait a little while but they let us sit in the massage chairs and soak our feet until someone was ready to help us. It is a large salon that is very spacious! Love how open it is and you're not sitting on top of other clients while trying to enjoy your service. We will definitely be back! read more

I just moved to the area. I was referred by another company's employee. My spouse, my son and I all decided to get spa mani's. I decided to add to my visit and get my nails done too. The staff was talking horribly about my spouse and son in their language and kept giving them dirty looks. I wanted cat eye paint and an almond shape. I was told that my pedi would be $35 plus $10 for the cat eye. My nails I was told they would be $50 with the cat eye. After getting everything done for myself I was given a ticket for services. My spa pedi was $60 and my nails were $70. When asked why I was told that cat eye was $20 more which didn't add up and same with my nails plus $5 for cutting them almond shaped and an additional charge for the black paint under the cat eye paint. I come from a place where the cat eye is the same as gel and not a mark up and not being told how much everything is upfront. My family and I are very disappointed with our visit here and will not be returning. I've done cat eye before and my nails look nothing like they're supposed to or even close to their sample board.
