There was not a jacuzzi or pool but I'm glad there were 2 of my other favorite amenities. They gave us champagne & wine. I got a massage by Brandy. It was good she put me to sleep. Emma was soooo good at my facial! She is a sweetheart & is a professional! I came in with a party of 4 & 3/4 of us got Emma & we all enjoyed her! My suggestion to the spa is to add an auto gratuity to the bill so all the technicians get tipped for their services. I had to ask if it was included. My girlfriend paid for her massage and didn't even tip because she didn't know so I ended up tipping eight technicians they do deserve it. I work in the service industry & I love to take care of my service people. Anyway! We all had a great experience.

I got a massage, facial, pedicure, manicure, haircut and style, also make up application. I spent a short time in the sauna. Over all it was a good day. But I left feeling humiliated and misunderstood. Honestly it's as much how they make you feel as how they make you look to me. The bad: I called when I first received my gift card from my husband to ask about details of the day. They said it would be a long day. I would arrive at eight in the morning and not be done until almost five in the evening. I take medication at one in the afternoon that requires me to eat food when taking it. So once my appointment day got closer I was concerned about the long day without food to take my meds. I remembered a salon in St. Louis that offered a meat, cheese, cracker tray with juice or wine for an additional cost. So I called the salon to inquire if they had a snack or lunch option. They did not. That was fine. I can drop a protein bar in my purse and bring my own drink. The problem came when the receptionist who answered the phone was unapologetically condescending in her tone when answering my questions. Rude. Then apparently there was a report that attended me to every techs stationed stating that I had asked about food because three of the ladies commented on it. Although they were polite and kind. But then while waiting in between my hair and make up application a lady grabbed my report paper off the hair stylist table. The lady who grabbed the paper then read it said, "asked about food that's too funny". I was humiliated. It turns out I was given incorrect information my day ended at two in that afternoon which is hours different than five in the evening. I feel like that at any establishment that you spend approximately $600.00 at should not make you feel horrible. My beautiful birthday gift day my husband had lovingly provided for me started and ended on a sour note. I will not return. There is a new full service salon in Anderson. I think I might try that one next month.

    I don't spend a lot of time in salons but most are a turn off to me, linoleum floors , stinky…read morechemicals, bad tv or radio playing, bad waiting areas etc. They just don't appeal to me. Heads Up is none of that. In a restored house, it feels more like a spa or perhaps the kind of place lady's like to go with friends to get tea and gossip. Heads Up is well appointed, comfortable and inviting. The hairdressers stations (Cosmologist?) are well designed like nice furniture and the staffing is of a more professional and engaging nature than going to a typical discount haircut chain. I'd recommend you ask for Sammy when your there, she takes walk-ins as well as appointments. Sh'e licensed to work in several states and is a very friendly and easy going stylist who really cares about helping you look your best. Like most salons, she is an independent person and like the other stylists there pay rent and do not draw a paycheck like the rest of us. So if she does a great job give her a nice tip! The owners of Headz Up have done a great job creating a place that is comfortable, friendly and professional and its clear they care about the clientele and the independent stylists who work there.     I called before I even went in to exchange a Mothers Day gift I received. My son put it under my…read morename so I wouldn't have a problem getting a refund or getting an exchange incase I didn't like the perfume he spent over $100 on. He came from 17 hrs away and his gift was so thoughtful and the girl on the phone told me it wouldn't be a problem at all. I explained he didn't live around here and I didn't want to hurt his feelings. Her and her boss I'm assuming because she had to have her ok the refund were so busy talking to a younger girl about what product she should try and the girl helping me put my refund back on my sons card. I said you told me you could give me store credit or a refund. I said so now because they weren't focused on me I have to now let my son know his card will have a $117 credit because I was going to get the perfume I knew I liked and she said sorry that was my mistake. I said so I just pretty much handed in my Mother's Day gift. I'm not calling my son and asking him to send me that money. Her and her boss both were pretty much like sorry our mistake but nothing they can do. They need to focus on what they are doing mostly when it comes to a gift refund. It would of even made it better if they acted like they even cared. If I was the boss I could definitely say I would of figured a way to act like I was sorry. That's not the way to treat your costumers and expect them to come back. I have a daughter and nieces and we will definitely shop with Sephora from now on.

She was trying to open the Ulta app and find…read moresomething and the manager of the store made a snark remark saying "oh most of our elderly customers have a hard time working the app." My mother isn't even 50, and she works with tech all the time, so just couldn't locate something in the app. Very rude and unprofessional. This is supposed to be a beauty store and insulting your customers isn't a way to make good returning business.
