Super cool innovative idea that was evidently created by a 14 year old. This is located in NoCo…read moreportion of downtown Jeffersonville and like everything else in that area it is visually stunning and so creative. So as you walk this tiny path it tells a story with small signs posted. Such a cute story and idea here. Locate right in front of a beautifully painted water tower and surrounded by amazing murals called the "NoCo wild flowers". Also is right across the street from the fabulous and colorful playgrounds "the depot" and "Picasso's Pointe". Overall extremely cool place. The whole NoCo area I'm excited for to see where it goes and how it grows. I've definitely found a new spot to take my kids and spend a day at.

Sgt Junk-It Dog mural is a massive and brightly colored mural located in the fern creek…read moreneighborhood of Lousiville just off bardstown road. Mural features a dog in army fatigues along with some bright colors. Not sure what it represents as I believe it is on an abandoned building located behind popular fern creek pastry shop sugar and spice. But is cool to see as I don't believe there are any other murals currently located in fern creek. Or none that I am familiar with. Overall a fun, unique and unexpected mural. Hopefully it leads to more murals In this portion of the city.

But I love Bulldogs and I thought that was awesome that they have this neatly painted colorful Miral it was a bulldog on it and the Louisville Symbol and the year 2018 when it was painted. Public art is one of my favorite things in the world. Wherever I travel, I look for murals and…read moregraffiti, wheatpasted posters on the sides of buildings, signs tacked up to telephone poles. The need to create is very wholesome and pure, and I love that people do it in public spaces for other people to enjoy for free. When I visited Jeffersonville a few months ago, I came across this area that had a lot of public art everywhere -- The Depot at NoCo. The temperature outside was about 17 degrees, but I got out of my car and looked at the art and took photos until my fingers were freezing. This area has many colorful, beautiful murals, a story walk, and space to congregate. There were zero people around when I was there, which makes sense because it was the winter and the temperature was below freezing. But I imagine that in the warmer months, this place is hoppin'.

Very awesome open space/play area and public art displays located on the NoCo arts cultural…read moredistrict in downtown Jeffersonville Indiana. Very wide and spacious area that they have painted up and gotten creative with. They have taken old storage containers and fixed up and created places to climb on and play or hang out. Fit in perfectly with the bright and vibrant arts that surround it in the NoCo district. Entrances can be found in the rear from the alley and this is located directly across the street from another awesome open play space called Picasso pointe. One of my favorite things about Thai place is the really cool moon mural they have located on the rear wall near the entrances. With the open space and the all the storage containers to climb it provided ample of fun opportunities when I brought my daughters, nephews and niece here to play. They got a giant game of freeze tag going and had a blast. I did some research at the time on what I'd to come for the depot and some of the shipping containers will actually become retail space for local artists and the big are in the center will become a full service bar area. So This space has unlimited potential and I think will be become super trendy and popular. Overall extremely cool place. The whole NoCo area is exciting and so creative and fun for adults and kids. Any art lover owes it to themselves to visit This little strip of sights. I've definetly found a new spot to take my kids and spend a day or an afternoon.

I went past here on a morning jog along the river recently. It showed up on the map so I thought I…read morewould check it out. I had a hard time finding it based on the Apple Maps location, but I found it close to the intersection of Bingham and Witherspoon. It's a beautiful mural. As a fan of the Kentucky Derby, I really appreciated the art work. There's also another mural of Abraham Lincoln right next to it worth checking out.

Run for the roses located just off of the Ohio river and river front park in downtown Lousiville…read morethat is part of a site wide Lousiville art initiative called Alley Gallery in which random exterior doors through tour the downtown area have murals painted on them by local artist. This is a colorful rendering and one of the many Alley gallery pieces that pay homage tot he cities horse racing roots. While it is nicely done I do enjoy the non horse racing murals that are a part of alley gallery better. Just kind of overdone and I enjoy the uniqueness of different types of murals. Overall it is always fun to walk around downtown and discover these hidden and fun murals.
