A few weeks back me and my family was in the nearby area and my second born daughter was taking some pride in doing some mural hunting and she spotted this piece and few others in this 3 block radius that I've never noticed before or are brand new. The art work depicts 3 minority youths rocking shirts showing there future occupations. Very positive and cool depiction. Overall very cool piece and I'm always a fan of positive messages on public art. The east Broadway area has had a few of them pop up in a few clock radius of this one and it's awesome to see.

I made my own free outdoor art gallery. It was a very fun day. The mural is located around the corner from the Racial Injustices mural and just down the street from the Light at the End of the Tunnel mural. For me, it is a powerful mural. It is painted on a garage door and was the creation of Tramel Harold Fain in 2019. It depicts 3 black children with backpacks and shirts on that say future Med, Judge and Teacher respectively. This is a very positive mural and could give hope to some children that may have been looking for it. Fain said, "I want the image to be bright, fun and to bring some type of inspiration." He definitely accomplished what he had set out to do, which this one does. I am a sucker for a piece with a message. There is lots of free street parking available to for you to get out and check out the mural. However, it is not a very long stop and you probably could accomplish what you want to in the comfort of your vehicle. So, as I have mentioned, it is best to plan out stops at many of the other wonderful murals that are within a mile or two and make a day of it.

Easy to miss as it's labeled with a small marker on the ground with the "read to succeed" message. Overall it's always cool to see public art or monuments and this one is no different. I like how it fits the theme of reading and being on a library property and sending a positive message.

Crossbones rack sculpture is a downtown Louisville decorative public art bike rack that is also a…read morefully functional bike rack. It is part of a city wide art initiative called "bike rack" which consist of local artist sculpting unwise and artistic bike racks that still serves as functioning bike racks. This rack is pretty wicked and fun with a large skeleton man as the base. One of the larger and more functional bike racks I've come across as part of This program as it can easily hold 4 plus bikes. Overall I enjoy the bike rack series and this is actually one of my favorite ones I've stumbled across. It's always fun seeing the different local artists with there take on the decorative bike racks

Triple slugger sculpture is a large public art sculpture of 3 Lousiville sluggers that sits right…read moreout in front of Jim Patterson stadium which is the home of the university of Lousiville baseball team. Sculpture is not only visually pleasing and a fun photo op but it also pays a nice homage to the city as we are known for manufacturing the most famous sporting equipment in Lousiville sluggers bat. Which fits in perfectly with it being located in front of a baseball stadium. Overall a really cool and fun piece that is really popular with uofl fans and other residents of the city of Lousiville.

Lenny Lyles is very deserving of a statue form the school from being dominant in two major sports. More known for hai football as he went on to play over a decade in the nfl during the 1950's where he would become a 2 time nfl champion and pro bowler. Overall great statue and tribute to a true university of Lousiville legend. Nice job by the university In honoring an all time cardinal great.
