My local colleagues took me to this place on our last visit to Bergen op Zoom. I was quite impressed. Apparently, it is mainly a lunch establishment. The in - town location as well as the decor gave it a wonderfully quaint feel. The service was excellent and the prices were reasonable (in a European context).
It was rather busy in this diminutive establishment when we visited but we were able to find a spot for the three of us. Our server attended to us quickly and did a great job taking care of us. She checked up on us at adequate intervals without being intrusive.
The menu offered many tempting options from which to choose. My colleagues went for the Specialty Bakery Salad and the Pasta Carbonara. But I am a breakfast fiend and I had not had eggs for breakfast that day. As such, I opted for the Salmon Omelet with brie, mushrooms and onions. There were large strips of brie embedded, which seemed quite unusual. It was terrific and I would recommend it if you try this place. Our meals were capped with excellent coffee.
Overall, I greatly enjoyed my experience in this delightful little shop. If you are in central Bergen op Zoom, it is definitely worth a try. read more
