I was grandfathered into paying a lower rate than others because of the time I put in there and I moved into this place before rent prices really spiked so I was grateful to be able to pay lower pricing. The staff were nothing but respectful to me and I'll always have good things to say about the staff there. After all, I was a model tenant so we got along good. With all that said, my last few months there were awful. I don't blame the company or the staff or anything like that. I blame the horrible tenants in the different building I was moved into because of maintenance issues. The main issue I have with Village Green is it seems like they are accepting more and more subsidized and section 8 type people in and they will moved right into the general population. Now this may sound snobbish, but it's the truth. Low income and section 8 type people bring trouble with them and they are the types of people I would never want to live near or associate with. Of course, sweet elderly people who need help, I am not talking about them or the truly disabled. I am talking about young and middle-aged able body people who are subsidized and abusing the system. Things got so bad in the building between the white trash people screaming in the halls all the time, to people smoking pot and possibly worse drugs. When that happened, I got the heck out of there and I haven't looked back since. I wish Village Green would not allow those type of scum people to live in their community where they're like rats who ruin it for everybody else. Section 8 people do not belong here and they should be moved into a place that is specifically for section 8 people only. This is just a warning to anyone looking into moving here. There's a risk of the type of people you unknowingly will be moved near. Could be good like it was for me my first 5 years or it could be awful people like my last few months.

Only time he cares to have a meeting or discussion with unit owners is end of the year when he tells us the condo fee is going up for vague reasons. If you try to discuss ways of budgeting or saving money he dismisses you with a condescending smirk and shake of the head. Our building went months without working washer/dryer and Larry's response was to "wait it out". He pays his buddies to do repair jobs around the building and pays them without even checking to see if the work has been done properly. His mason left a giant mess on the front stairs and parking lot and he refused to address it unless EVERY SINGLE UNIT OWNER contacted him individually. Takes him weeks to reply to concerns, if at all. Horrible.

Ruth informed me that I will not be getting an answer today because The landlord will not be in today I said OK although that was an inconvenience for me I chose to wait, I called back the day after and someone rudely answered and said "Kevin you have to wait until noon because the landlord still isn't in yet" now at this point I was told I'd be getting a follow up call within 24 hours it's now been two days I finally got a callback from Ruth and she gives me a strange story About me having to fill out a release, so that my current landlord can provide rental information to this company I was frustrated because I filled out the application in person and was not given a release or did not explain to me that a release needs to be signed she said it was on the application but I signed the application and she went over the application in front of me and didn't say anything about a discrepancy about a missed signature so it was a lie I even contacted my current landlord and ask them have they heard from town and country apartments requesting my rental information and my landlord informed me that they were not notified by any other rental property to receive my information but they would but they would be happy to release my information to help me out. When I called Ruth back and informed her that I in fact can have my landlord fax the information over to her. Ruth rudely said "you can have your deposit back" she is the most unprofessional woman I have ever met, she is a snake and I will file a complaint with the Mass Attorney General's office. This elderly witch does not deserve to be in position of helping tax payers find homes. I felt discriminated against and did not receive proper assistance, instead my time was wasted and I was disrespected. The world would be a better place without Ruth

Kitchen appliances were filthy when we moved in, yet when you move out they expect it to spotless or they will keep your deposit and then charge you extra. They ignore real complaints (like the whole apartment building smelling like weed because someone is smoking it in their bathroom and all the vents are connected) and instead focus on silly ones (like not putting out cigarettes out on their newly paved walkway because it was leaving marks that would go away when it rained). For the amount they charge now, its not worth it and the owner is terrible. Her secretary is lovely, but the actual owner is the worst landlord I have ever had.

I have debated for 2 months to post this review, but after seeing some of the others... I am not…read morealone. James and his team are young, personal and hard working. BUT something happened during our move and they had to "switch trucks". The concern started when they brought in a small table that had broken that they tried to glue together unsuccessfully. With no other comment other then the glue didn't work??? Unfortunately, we had to delay box opening and the full review of our items as we had the interior painted and recarpeted. So 90% stayed in our garage for 4-6 weeks. Once we started to set up the house we became VERY concerned with some damaged items. In addition, I found beds and chairs put together incorrectly causing a support to be broken in the bed which we had to replace (the bed). We kept saying "they are such good kids", but items kept piling up scratched, dented... The final straw was when we realized we were missing 1-2 boxes and I reached out to the office, simply to inquire and to ask if they could see if the next stop had our stuff (even though we were told we were the ONLY stop). Initially ignored, then given "James will be in touch". Guess what... NEVER heard from James. So disappointed as if they had simply gotten back to me apologized, and said they didn't have any extra boxes, this review NEVER would have been written. Hiding in your shell never pays off.
