I've owned a bulldog before, and already understand their stipulations, sensitivity to heat, and overall nature of the breed, but I felt very mansplained to by her educating me. If we didn't have to get him neutered, we probably will not be back. Otherwise, the pricing is good and the other staff members were friendly but Dr. Lejeune left a bad taste to me.

Tex visited this hospital just a handful of times in his final year. He mostly saw Dr. Alyssa Rahaim, and I really liked her bedside manner with us, her advice, and how easy she was to reach by email or phone (especially in his final days when I wasn't sure if it was time to put him down. She called me while she was on vacation.). Additional pros: The facility has a very friendly staff, short wait times, onsite pharmacy... I think they also do boarding and grooming (in a separate building up front). Two things I wish for: :: If they did house calls/mobile visits, because it was very difficult to get my 14-year-old lab out of the house, into a car, and into the vet every six months for his labs. :: Or, if they could reserve some front parking or the loading zone with a sign that specifies it's for loading/unloading elderly dogs or disabled dogs, and of course for emergencies (which I assume that's what it's mainly used for), but I've witnessed that loading zone fill up with people too lazy to park in the lot and walk inside. But to end this review on an uplifting note, when Tex did pass (I used a mobile service from a different provider), Cypress Fairhaven Animal Hospital sent me the loveliest sympathy card that was hand signed - with sweet messages - from their entire staff. Tex was only a patient there for a short while, yet they treated him as though he was a lifelong patient.

The staff is always friendly and professional. However, my most recent visit was disappointing. The quality of the service seemed to have gone downhill, and I wasn't thrilled with the results this time. (The before and after photos they send from the cleaning never look like my dogs teeth. They may edit the photos.) To make matters worse, they've increased their prices dramatically. For what they charge now for large dogs, you might as well go to the vet for a full deep clean. It used to be a fraction of the price, making it a convenient and affordable option, but now I'm questioning if it's even worth it anymore. If they could match the service with the price, it might be a different story, but at this point, I'll be looking into other options.
