I don't have to worry about Dr Robison leaving...because he bought Family Dental last year. :) All the dentists I have had at Family Dental were excellent, but I must say that Dr Robison is exceptional. The best dentist I have ever had. I have had a lot of dental work done by him over the last two years (bridges, crowns, extractions, etc.)...so I think I have a pretty good handle on how he operates: He listens to his patients. He lets them know what he is doing at all times. No mysteries here. He does not recommend extraneous/unnecessary work. He willingly recommends getting a second opinion if there is any doubt about the best way forward. He works quickly with his excellent assistant Charlene...to get you in and out. I also recommend the hygienist Melissa. She is a pro, very thorough. Listen to her advice on dental care...she is a font of knowledge.

After two decades of trust and consistency with this practice, I expected professionalism, empathy, and clear communication. Unfortunately, this experience fell far below those standards. I left feeling unheard and deeply disappointed. I hope the office takes this feedback seriously, as no patient--especially a long-standing one--should be treated this way. They perform, in my opinion, unnecessary procedures and the front office staff is unprofessional. They will schedule appointments at 9:00 but they don't open until 9:00 so you are left waiting until they finish up their morning meeting. So your 9:00 o'clock appointment doesn't start until 9:30. Make it make sense. I would not recommend this practice to my worst enemy.

Once in the back, I advised the nurse that I was pregnant and if possible I would like to decline my xrays and just get a cleaning for safety of my child. The nurse left to consult with Dr. Lee who then sent the nurse back stating she would need clearance from my OB/GYN. I have never heard of a clearance being needed for a simple cleaning and questioned the nurse more for explanation. The nurse asked if I would like to speak with Dr. Lee and I said yes I really would like to because I need clarity. When the nurse asked Dr. Lee to speak with me she told the nurse "I am too busy and she (speaking about me) is a liability, I don't want the liability". When the nurse told me this I was so confused and truly upset with the lack of professionalism and care for a patient. Not only that, but Dr. Lee never came to face me and for her to say she was too busy, when truthfully this was my allotted appointment time, was very disheartening and made me feel like she treated me like trash. I would NEVER go back to this establishment and I really hope the word gets out on how she treats her patients. If you are a pregnant woman, think about making an appointment here. It is very possible that they will not treat you and Dr. Lee will not even come to speak with you face to face to tell you why. I wish I could give this place ZERO stars. He went to the new dentist on Lawrenceville Hwy, they treated him right, gave him 3 meds - an antibiotic, pain med and 800mg ibuprofen. They were great. DO NOT go to this dentist on Wesley Chapel Rd. They are butchers.

The day of my appointment, I was warmly greeted and called to the back almost immediately. Everyone was so caring and knowledgeable.
