No problems at all…read more But the owner came out yelling at us telling us that either we pay double or the staff will be and for us to explain to him what happened. Horrible guy and feel so bad for the staff. Good was pretty bad as well. The meat in my pho bowl was so fatty. So gross. Do not go here

Garden City and their new Town Square dining precinct have you covered. I was all set to keep to my usual stop at Motto Motto until I was assured I'd not regret a visit to dine at PH by Pho Hung (directly opposite the geometric prints of Motto Motto). I think my secret source knew her stuff. Set amongst clean white walls with black illustrations and yellow accents, PH is a more modern version of their well-known Sunnybank restaurant. Despite it's location they're serving a reasonably full sit-in menu with a few take-away options. Their tagline: "Vietnamese delight authentic food" rings true as each meal is made to order. Once sat by the friendly staff I opted for the beef wrapped in betel leaves and a grilled prawn vermicelli salad bowl. Note to self: you don't need anything else when ordering the salad bowl. These are huge and I'd dare to say enough for two and their special fish sauce is the star of the dish. If you're a fan of fresh flavours, fast and friendly service and a meal that leaves you feeling satisfied and full of health -- PH is your bet in this neck of the woods.

Japanese of this quality in a suburban shopping centre? Yeah, I had that thought too. But, Motto…read moreMotto has one of Brisbane's best restauranteurs (think of names like Sono) behind it and it shows. In fact, the road to Motto Motto finally opening the door was about three years in the making and the care & dedication to make sure the final result was of the highest quality is evident in everything from the branding to the food. Nestled just outside of the main shopping centre at Garden City in the new dining precinct, Motto Motto is easily spotted by its Kelly green walls and origami geometric shapes. The menu tends towards a mix of traditional and westernised Japanese but all falls into the "something for everyone" category. The menu is designed to be a make your own bento to the extent that the ceramics were made especially for Motto Motto and to be joined together. There's small sides, ramen or Japanese rolls. My favourite is the chirashi rice bowl. A ample bowl of rice with raw sashimi, salmon roe and a scattering of spinach. For under $15 it's a champion dish that will leave you satisfied and not wanting more. It does tend to get a little busy during peak times so eye off your table and take it fast!

Motto Motto offers a range of well-loved food Japanese favourites such as noodle & rice bowls that go above and beyond the typical food court sushi & miso soup. As a vego I'm obsessed with their potato salad roll. Yes, it is exactly like it sounds and it's awesome but there is plenty on offer for those of you who are carnivorously inclined. Also don't go past the seaweed sprinkled fries. Somehow the way that Japanese do fries is far superior to everyone else and they come with Kwepi mayo! Don't forget to check out the drink menu - alongside the familiar there are some Japanese sodas and cocktails you might want to try out.
