Our combination noodle salad was delicious, but we really didn't like the special crab starch noodle. We obviously ordered the wrong thing. This is a great little restaurant - the service is good, the food is good and the prices are very reasonable. Not unusual to see a queue in peak periods, people waiting for a seat. It is not pretentious- food is usual Vietnamese fare, quality and freshness is awesome. Happy to recommend the venue for lunch or dinner. read more

Don't be fooled by the casual set up of Pho Hung Vietnamese Cuisine. Behind their plastic-y chairs, metal tables and kitchen tiles, is a Vietnamese menu that packs a punch. There is no way you can choose a bad dish off this menu. They have the tastiest grilled pork balls out of all the Sunnybank Vietnamese restaurants. Try the pork balls with their rice vermicelli salad or as part of the roll-it-yourself hand rolls. The portions are generous, the price is cheap and the only problem I had was the noise level. There is a reason this place is constantly packed; the food is pretty darn tasty and equally as cheap. The layout is simple - bare walls, silver table-tops filled with squeeze bottles of hoisin and chilli sauce, bowls of sweet and spicy chilli oils and a cylindrical container filled with cutlery and chopsticks. Service here is fast - with meals appearing in a staggered fashion within minutes of ordering. The best thing about Vietnamese food is that it's fresh and isn't drowning in sauce, spices and oils. So the vermicelli noodle salad with shredded pork and spring rolls ($10) is flavoured with a simple drizzle of Vietnamese dipping sauce. The Pho with beef is perfectly clear (until tainted with copious amounts of chilli sauce) and the beef congee has a delicate flavour. Great Vietnamese restaurant. The servings are very generous at great prices and the Pho here is without a doubt one of the best in Brisbane. They have a plethora of traditional vietnamese dishes. After choosing to be adventurous and stray from our usual noodle joint, a friend and I were amazed to discover what I think is an even better one. I'm also pleased to say that I think this place serve mainly Vietnamese cuisine (although I don't claim to be an expert on the matter), whereas many other Vietnamese restaurants I've been to only seem to have a few Vietnamese items with the remainder of the menu filled with Chinese dishes. We took a very long time to decide what to have, partly because there were many options but also because we didn't know the difference between the various noodle soup dishes, many of which appeared to be very similar to us first timers. I eventually settled on a crispy skin chicken noodle soup. Our meals arrived, along with a plate of bean sprouts for us to share which we added to our soups, after glancing furtively around to observe what the more seasoned eaters were doing. I was a bit dismayed to discover that my chicken, as well as being probably an entire half of the animal, was served on a plate, separate from the noodles. I am still not sure if what I did was incredibly incorrect or rude, but I decided to detach the chicken from the bone and add it to the soup myself, while trying to draw as little attention my way as possible. It was absolutely delicious. We were very sad to realise we were in a bit of a rush to catch the movie we intended to see, so we put our heads down and inhaled our food, both of us eating until the last possible second when we were forced to pay and rush off to the cinema. While the food was amazing, the service was less so. We were very intimidated by the abrupt attitude of our waiter, who, even though we asked him repeatedly for some water, never brought it to us. We finally asked another woman who simply nodded without much other acknowledgement so that we questioned whether she had actually heard us. She never brought the water either but when we went to pay she realised her mistake and apologised profusely, so that was nice even though it did nothing to quench our thirst. Despite the unsatisfactory service, there is no way I can stay away from this place, their delicious noodles and huge servings of chicken. read more

I tried this place for the first time earlier this week for lunch. I usually eat at the other Pho place at the same plaza. I decided I should try a new place and I was glad I did. Firstly, this Pho shop is a lot cleaner and more updated than the other place. I ordered the med size Beef Combo Pho noodle soup for $10. It came with the normal beansprouts, lemon and chillies. Then the waitress brings over this massive bowl of Pho. I was hungry so I was pretty excited bout the portion size til I was halfway done and almost full. It was VERY good! The soup was flavourful and the beef was nice and tender. My only complaint would be that the noodles were a bit softer or more cooked than I was used to. (still not really a complaint) Service was fine and speedy. I would eat there again and will bring my hub and bub next time. Good find. read more

Probably the best pho I have had in Gold Coast - chunks of tendons and briskets. Definitely paying for what is worth. Didn't feel too thirsty either after downing the whole bowl of soup/ pho. Would definitely recommend The only down side is the paid parking available next to the restaurant unless you go eat there after 5pm. read more

This place is off the charts! AKA: Da Bomb! I looooooove Pho. I thought Vancouver Canada had excellent stuff, this right here on the next level. I always get the fully loaded Pho, which is so good. The meat is full of so much flavour, the noodles are delicious, and don't even get me started on the broth itself..... Wow! If Vietnamese Pho is your thing, this is a place to check out. One note: For some reason I have yet to experience Tripe in Australia. I miss it :( read more

best pho I have ever tasted, I go to a few other places but they don't taste as good as this place. The food are delish, the only downfall is the place inside is a bit squishy and gets really crowded and some of the servers there are rude, sometimes they can forget your order and then you would have to re order again and wait another half hour, it gets frustrating specially when you go in with the family but the food is what makes us come back for more. read more

Cheap, quick, authentic Vietnamese food. Pho is pretty good..broth is a tad salty. Had the crispy chicken + soup which was also very nice..the soup broth is lighter than pho but still very flavorful. They also serve non-Vietnamese items (i.e. Mongolian beef) which I did not order this time around however it looked and smelled amazing. I'm not sure if it's my new regular but I would definitely not hesitate to eat here next time I'm in Sunnybank. read more

My favorite vietnamese place in Sunnybank! One of the best fried springrolls in the city and of course great pho soups - so yummy! You will be full long after leaving this place. The only thing that bothers me is the coldness inside, the aircon is running like crazy in there, but that is just a tiny detail that doesn't affect the overall experience. we went there and they let us sit 4 people table. then we were ready for food. when we go to bathroom, the staff move my staff to 2 people table which is very small. another one person sat on the 4 table. Just because we left for a minutes, they move us small table by themselves. anyway we had noodle then I tried to pay with a credit card, the staff said that the machine doesn't work. I said try again, then it works and they said I need to pay 3% surcharge then they put more charge on me. I complain and they gave me back some coins. too much msg and no good service. read more
