Our apartment complex regularly hosts food trucks, and this one stopped by today. I'll be honest, I wasn't expecting a lot, but I was pleasantly surprised. They had taken Thailand off the menu which is what I wanted, so I ended up going with the UK entree. Fish and chips.
Big box filled with a moderate amount of seasoned fries, and four pieces of cod. While the individual pieces of cod were small and thin, almost like a fish stick, the fish itself was tasty. Juicy on the inside, batter was pleasantly crispy. Side of tartar sauce on the side that I didn't touch.
Paid about $11 for this which I'm not mad about for what I got. I feel like they have the capacity to put out some good food, but they seem to be trying to cut cost with their product. everything seemed run of the mill. Run of the mill fries, run of the mill fish, run of the mill tartar sauce.
I would have been significantly more impressed if I had gotten two larger pieces of cod rather than the four smaller ones I received.
That being said, the flavor of the food was great. I feel like I'd be willing to pay a little more for a better product. For it to go from "oh okay. Yea that's good." to "whoah man okay yea this is good!" read more
