This woman, owner of a store where you could be eternally happy, in a daily Christmas atmosphere, is so miserable, she feels it imperative to make the others miserable. I read six reviews written by women, who have been berated by our Karen, because they were helping their children in the parking lot, eternally empty. These reviews span eight years. This woman has been miserable for eight years. Poor soul! She did the same to me yesterday, threatening to call the police, because I was catching my breath for a few minutes. In her empty parking lot. If you want to make a sale, you are nice to your customers. If you want good karma in your life, you are nice to your fellow humans. I hope you have the life you deserve! This is a woman owned business, benefitting from the perks that come with this affiliation. The owner of this business has been bullying women for eight years, according to the reviews. She has not exhibited a shred of humanity and decency when women in her otherwise empty parking lot were helping their children. One trying to change a baby's diaper. One consoling a child who just threw up. For which they had to clean the parking lot, lest the police would be called. One taking care of a child who just had oral surgery. I was not taking care of a child. I was trying to take care of myself yesterday. A tired, weary woman, who had driven for a while, and who was catching her breath near the empty parking lot. Alas! No rest for the weary! She waited for me to get out, after she shouted Get Out! She does not deserve a single advantage of a woman owned business, if she is so inconsiderate to any woman she sees. She is hateful and belligerent. Especially towards women. Most of us have not even made it to the store, we were so turned off by her parking lot behavior. I live in CA and was recently visiting the VA/DC area for two weeks, with my 13-year old. On our 2+ hour drive from Monticello, back to DC, I drove past Noelle Niche. When I passed the building and saw the giant "OPEN" flag flying on the front porch, I made the very first u-turn I could make and headed back!! Pulling into the parking lot I saw the posted hours and noticed the shop would be closing in 20 minutes (5pm). We head inside, the shop owner greets us, and immediately started turning lights on some of the trees as she tells me she was actually just about to close up shop early and go to the post office when we arrived, because we were "the only customers" she's had all day! I told her we were visiting from CA, but I love Christmas, so when I saw that her shop was open I had to make a u-turn and stop in. In one of the rooms I started moving one of the figurines (to grab the one behind it), when the owner rudely says, "if you would move out of the way, I'll help you". I was a little surprised, but I moved away from the shelf and she handed me the figure. The price was $110. I wasn't planning on buying myself a $110 Christmas decoration on a whim, but it would've made an awesome gift for my mother. I asked the owner if there was more stuff upstairs. She paused and reluctantly said yes. Upstairs there was a train set, my son asked if she could turn it on, she snapped at him "no!". Again I overlook the attitude and continue to look around. I picked up a snowman gourd ($65) and my son says, "they light up". I asked the owner if she could turn on the one I had in my hand. She let's out a loud sigh and leans over to flick on the switch. I asked the woman if it had a box. She now begins to rant, "no, it doesn't have a box!", they come packaged in a giant box wrapped in a newspaper! She continues, almost belittling, telling me they're gourds, they come on all sizes. How they possibly have their own boxes? It would cost the company thousands of dollars to buy different sized boxes to fit all the various shapes and sizes. I told her a simple "no" would've been fine and reminded her that we live 3,000 miles away and that asking if an item had a box wasn't an unreasonable question. I then ask, "are you irritated that we're here?". She now proceeds to tell me that this is not the first time in the last week that someone has decided to show up "at the last minute". Wait a minute, I didn't "decide" to show up at the last minute. I reminded her we don't live there and that it's only because I was driving by and saw her giant "OPEN" flag flying that we were even there. I looked at my watch and pointed out that we were shopping within HER POSTED hours of business! And she replies that she told me she was trying to close early and go to the post office and when someone shows up so late it really messes up her evening, and I should've noticed she already had everything turned off. WHAT!??? "Ma'am, I'm by your own admission, the ONLY customer you've had all day! I'm shopping within YOUR posted hours of business!! I would think you would be happy that you had an opportunity to make a sale "at the last minute". Especially when the two items I'm looking at are $65 or $110. If you didn't want someone to come to your shop, you shouldn't be flying a giant OPEN flag on your front porch". She said, "that's my fault, I should've taken the flag down". With that, I set the gourd down, walked downstairs and left. I'm so happy I didn't give her a dime of my money. Her attitude cost her the only sale she would've made all day, but it saved me $65-$110!! read more

My fiancé and I were trying to get into the Christmas spirit, and Noelle Niche was one of our must go to's after driving by so many time. We knew it would be amazing, but we wouldn't have guessed it'd be as incredible as it is! First off, it's just incredible to look around. Two floors of decorations spanning from German, to Russian, to polish, to Americana style decorations. So many handcrafted, hand painted, and detailed items that are set up BEAUTIFULLY! It makes you want to live there! Second, Sharon and Theresa are so helpful and patient and kind. Sharon helped us obtain ornaments, package them, and was so knowledgeable about everything we were buying. There is a story behind every handmade item that made us feel even more connected to what we were purchasing. Plus, everything is very well priced for the quality and what it is. There's something for everyone here, even beyond Christmas stuff. Easter, Halloween, patriotic decor, and more. 10/10 a must visit! read more

We stopped in once and it was cute, even got a really nice Advent calendar. Today we stopped there for about 10 min, in the empty parking lot, so that my daughter could change her daughter's diaper, on our way to DC. Karen came out, circled our car and asked us to leave, because we were in their empty parking lot...for 10 minutes. Never in my life have I met someone so inconsiderate, rude, and disrespectful to a TWO YEAR OLD. we were planning on visiting the shop, but my cousin got sick in the car. We were cleaning him up in the parking lot when the owner came out to berate us for ruining her parking lot. Next time I'm about to throw up I'm going to drive to the front step of that business and throw up there. If you care about children or the sick, like Jesus would, then don't go to this business. There are many other cute shops in the area with good product that care about their customers or at least arent total a-. read more

What a bunch of bully's. I don't blame the owner for not wanting to clean up after someone else. Shame shame shame on her parents or who ever had her in a parking lot after a dental procedure. That young lady should have been taken straight home, not to a parking lot where she got sick. In the midst of Covid 19 how was the owner to know why this person was sick let alone expected to clean up after her. So next time a friend or relative has a "painful dental procedure" think of them first and not your obviously selfish wants of hey let's go shopping and leave her in the car to be sick, really who was at fault here. As for the name calling of other Madison Residents, wellll you are just showing your lack of class, isn't that called sterotyping, shame on all of you. read more

My hubby and I have driven by this shop many times, always too busy to stop, but sure glad we did! So many amazing treasures and the owner was such a loving and friendly person. I felt like we were old friends as she took us on a tour through the history of the home and discussed the origin of each type of ornament. Instead of asking if she could help, the owner insisted that she clean up her mess and ordered them off the property. What a snotty b#$&*! Where is the compassion??? As the owner of a business, I would hope you'd understand that being successful goes beyond the stock you carry and the prices you charge. How you treat others is as important in your store as outside. Seems today you showed your true capacity for caring by yelling at a poor young girl who had the unfortunate experience of getting sick in your parking lot after having a painful dental surgery. If only she could have made it home before getting sick, then you wouldn't have had to threaten to call the police to have her removed from your parking lot... Or perhaps, if only you had chosen to show compassion to a girl in need instead of reacting in such a vile manner you would have been spared this barge of less than desirable opinions about your business. read more
