You'll need more than a minute to make it through all the vendors at MinuteMan Minimall. Although it's smaller than many antique malls, it's still substantial and they've got the goods! In the very first booth, which opens into the main entrance, I found several treasures! As I meandered down each aisle and scoured each booth, I discovered many other cool finds that had my name on them!! Some booths are more "yard sale" type things, but others are packed with vintage and retro items. A few booths have "new primitive" decor, and the booth in the far back has some quilts and a couple pieces of furniture. You'll find tons of kitchenware and dish ware and glassware. This antique mall was well stocked and well organized. My sister found some collectible Barbies and many other gems! We noticed several vendors didn't price their wares, and sadly we had to leave a couple things at the check out counter. Mark your stuff, people. We spent about an hour exploring this "must stop" shop! The prices were fair and checkout was a breeze! I would definitely shop here again! read more

Especially if you get lost inside the seemingly small, but somewhat expansive and maze-like building. I did literally get lost though lol. I remember trying to get to the front of the building and passing the same stall and restroom area like 3 times. At that point.. I was almost ready to ask somebody for help finding my way to the front when I realized that there is signage pointing you on the floor towards the checkout / front of the building. Maybe... I"m not the first person to get lost in the Minuteman Minimall lol. Man, thank goodness for those. I'm not even quite sure how many vendors of spaces are in here, but I'll tell you there's a lot to look through. Like most antique malls, booths are filled by consigners, and most of them have a very different pricing structure. Leading some of the things to be great deals... and others to be... not so much. I ended up getting some cute Xmas ornaments for 2 bucks a piece. I also got an oxo handheld grating tool, and a small plastic measuring cup. Seriously though... I'd like to make it back. Maybe with a map. Maybe with a guide. Maybe with a better sense of direction. I'm just lucky that I didn't encounter a riddling sphinx or Lord Voldemort. Oh, side note. The gentleman at the front that was ringing me up was very nice. Very pleasant customer service, and there are large hand sanitizers up front which is nice. And it's not that slimy hand sanitizer... how does anyone even use that stuff. read more

Staff at front desk does you a favor by taking your money. Been there several times, bought occasionally. Staff women seem annoyed, consistently. Sorry to interrupt whatever you were doing on your phone, but could I pretty please pay for this? "Thank you" is not in their vocabulary, but should be. There is NOTHING in the place that is necessary to own. Wide variety of stuff to look at, good restrooms, too. read more

This is my kind of place. Large (definitely more than a "mini" mall). Lots of vendors. Lots of variety (except not a lot of furniture), including things I wouldn't touch w/ a 10ft pole and have no idea why they're for sale. And great prices. I left with two items (could've easily gotten more if I weren't in a rush) for $20 that I'd easily pay 2-3X as much for from a mall in a more densely populated area. In the middle of nowhere, but worth the diversion if you're remotely in the area. read more

I've spent quite a bit of time combing the area antique stores. This "mall" is one of the best that I've encountered. Well organized for the most part, clean, and encountered a helpful, friendly staff. Found fair prices on some Longaberger casserole dishes in one of the stalls. read more

Large place with wide variety of antiques, collectibles, and stuff. Looks like most of the reviews were a few years back, so maybe it's improved because my experience was quite different. I found and bought quite a few things. There were some good post-holiday sales too, so there were a lot of good deals around. The only detractor was that service could have been friendlier. It was okay but not with the warmth I would expect; maybe they were having a bad day. I wouldn't let that stop me from returning - I would definitely go back. read more

I had been wanting to stop here for quite some time. I finally had some spare time the other day. I was greeted my a friendly man. I was only able to look around for about an hour and only saw half of the building. I saw a lot of nice things lots of vendors. I wanted something of of a cabinet that was locked so I had to return to the front so an unfriendly attendant could escort the key to said cabinet. No engagement whatsoever, I apparently inconvenienced her by asking. By the way make sure you know what vendor booth you need the key for or she will be very annoyed with you. Aside from the rude front cashier/attendant I would probably consider returning to view the other half of the building. read more

This place is a fun way to spend and afternoon poking around searching for treasures. There are rooms and rooms of booths from different vendors to sort through. The staff has always been friendly when I've talked to them. My biggest complaint is prices for items tend to be extremely high for what the products are. There are some reasonably priced items but they are few and far between but maybe that's part of the fun searching for them! read more

I didn't believe the comment below about the cat box smell... I do now. The smell is so bad, I would caution purchasing anything from the room where the smell is coming from. Some material can carry a smell and that is not a smell I would want to bring home. The smell is that strong. There was a woman passing buy with her shirt over her face trying to breathe. On another note, this place does have a lot of stuff. The place is big and not all of it stinks. There is also a lot of junk and some of it is priced way too much for what it is. I also think this is one of those places that you will either love it or hate it. I know it is just not for me. read more

This is a huge warehouse type building full of different people's mini yard sales. Everything from plates to artwork to furniture. There is no rhyme or reason to this place - everything is kind of thrown together. "Vendors" are allowed to decorate each space as they see fit so it's kind of a disaster. I've never found anything in here to purchase, though I've been through many times trying to find a treasure amongst the trash. I love flea markets & antique malls...but this place needs some work. read more

This is a huge place, filled to the rafters with "stuff". Unfortunately there is absolutely no organization. Most dealers would clean or organize their treasures, but this was like the leftovers of a thousand garage sales, all randomly jumbled together. Like a really bad episode of "hoarders". This, combined with the overwhelming smell of cat litter boxes through the whole building was just a bit much. (I LOVE cats by the way, but this was amazingly bad, and there was even poop on the floor in one of the spaces). I really hope these nice people give it a better cleaning. read more

I read these reviews and laughed because I didn't remember a cat box smell when I went a few months ago. I went again, and no, it did not smell. It's a bit overwhelming, but that's what these antique malls seem to be. I do think the vendor spaces could be a bit more organized in terms of the layout. What a diamond in the rough! If you like to wander the isles of various vendors then this place is for you. There is a great mix of antiques, vintage, folk, and a tiny bit of more modern stuff. It's a typical antique retail store. Prices are reasonable and it's a great place to spend some time indoors in the AC. read more

Wide variety of antiques, handmade crafts from local artisans, and used items. The building is clean, the booths are arranged in an orderly fashion, with ample aisle space to browse. I can tell that the owners take pride in their business because you will never find dirty or broken junk. I always find unique items either for myself or for gift giving. I especially like that I've found the Mecca of used DVDs. read more

We've had great experiences shopping here. It's not just about the products, it's also about the experience. There is something interesting for everyone to see even if they don't buy it - games and toys from childhood, dvds, books, albums, jewelry, military surplus, candles, holiday decorations, furniture, signs, you name it. Aisles and aisles of stuff. We see new things every time we shop there. The clerks are super helpful as well. If you can't find something just ask and they will point you in the right direction. I have shopped at the Minuteman Minimall since the 1990s. It has gone through up and down cycles, and it is definitely on an UP cycle now ... the sky appears to be the limit. The cats everyone is talking about are gone (never to return, according to the owner) and the dealers appear to be working hard to keep their booths full of fresh and interesting merchandise at good prices. Some dealers have antiques, others specialize in collectables, some have craft and gift items ... it's a great place to waste some time and hunt for treasure. read more

The old reviews do not reflect changes over the past years. The mall is extremely well cared for. It is clean and the cats are gone. I visit several times a month and always fine antiques or collectibles. The staff is friendly and go out of their way to help you. No matter what you have heard or read in the past about MinuteMan MiniMall you really need to check them out or give them another look. They have under gone a complete redo. In fact they were recently voted "Top Winner" of the Central Virginia region in The Virginia Living 2012 Best of Virginia magazine. That should say something about all the hard work that the owners and the venders there have put into The MinuteMan MiniMall. (Oh, and by the way, all the cats were given new homes.) This antique mall has cleaned up and a lot more organized. They have done some remodeling. Anytime there is antiques some will think junk. Remember one man's junk is another man's treasure. This is truly a place for the devoted antique and collector person. The booths are full of wonderful items that make you want to dig in and find the "one of a kind" treasure. It is full of old stuff so don't expect the ritz. Shops that glitter are not for me. I love the adventure that this mall, which is very large, provides. We have added this to our must-go list when we are in the Lake Anna area. Dog-friendly, tons to look at, shopping carts, restrooms and tables at a break area, friendly staff. What really impressed me and why I am writing the review: we purchased a large set of china which the sales staff wrapped for us. When I got home and unwrapped everything, I realized what a great job they had done. There was padding between each piece, careful generous wrapping and stuffing, taped. Impressive. They also provided good boxes and bubble wrap for the smaller, very fragile collectible.. Thanks a lot! read more

I had a blast looking through the selection at the indoor flea market. As with every flea market, there are ones who are selling their crafts and their nick nacks and ones who are trying to peddle commercial products. We found a couple items and the prices we paid were more than reasonable. The staff was friendly and the establishment was VERY clean. In response to the older reviews regarding the cat box smell...Minute Man is now under new management and cats are no longer living in the building. The new management has put a lot of effort into cleaning up the place and it shows. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Some booths are kept nicer than others and that is because each vendor is responsible for their own booth and some care more than others or probably have a better eye for that sort of thing.
