We always worried about leaving them, not knowing if they would come out to eat. It made traveling very stressful. This was our second time with Selma (the first was a 5-day trial), and we left for 18 days. Honestly, we never imagined this would happen--our cats gradually came out to see her and even finished their food before she left. Our boy, Wally, even welcomed her at the door. Selma made the impossible possible. Thanks to her patience and deep understanding of cats, we now feel free to travel with peace of mind. We highly recommend Selma as a cat nanny. I'm disappointed to post this. We had emailed this business…read moreseeking daycare and training support for our two dogs. I explained issues with recall and some other issues. The owner replied that they do basic recall, leash skills, focus and more, and that they could accept our dogs. We booked them in. On the first day we got an email about how the dogs had done and a video of them at the beach. They were wet and tired at the end of the day. That was the only time they went into the water - all other days they stayed on leash while other dogs went into the water. The owner told us that young adult dog training was starting one weekend and that we could book to join it for around $250. We decided to go ahead and booked the young adult dogs training through their website. We got no response to our booking so asked staff about the training and never ever got a response. One day after returning home one dog took a pee on the stairs of our building. Either she hasn't been out for a toilet break or shewas very anxious. The last straw was seeing one of our dogs restrained with a harness at the front and one at the back on the beach walk. At home at the end of the day she was not herself and withdrawn and seemed upset. When we raised concerns we were met with defensiveness and escalating anger over email. The owner criticised our dogs lack of recall and over excitement. Our dogs do need some more training which is what we told them about and they assured us they would help with. It's also why we went to Noelles in the first place and it's why we booked the young adult training. Noelles provided no training, despite saying that they would, and didn't respond even we tried to book it. We paid for 5 daycare days for each dog and used four and have received no contact about getting money back.

I worked here for a few months semi- recently. As someone who worked there, I can confidently say…read morethat they do not take as good care of the dogs as they say. The owner is rude to her employees, and they use methods such as shaking change in metal jars directly in the dog's ears until they are scared of the workers as a way to make them stop barking. They will also yell very, very harshly at them almost constantly. The reason why I don't work there is because I refused to take part in that. They will also put up to 25 dogs of all sizes and temperaments in one van for the daily beach walk, which exceeds the legal limit and results in the dogs getting in fights with each other. Again, as someone who worked there, please do not leave your beloved animal there. Your dog will be sad all day and will not get enough attention nor be treated appropriately. At first glance, it seems like a great environment, hence why I worked there. But your dog will only be let out once, and in the group photos they send, it's likely your dog won't even be in the picture. They use very outdated training methods, and it was incredibly hard for me to work there. Leaving your dog there is the equivalent of leaving your dog at an animal shelter.

I took one of my young dogs to a session with Joyce for help with his aggressive behaviour. I had sought help previously from a series of recommended trainers and vets. In one session,Joyce provided me more help than all the others combined. One of my very old ( 16+) dogs refused to eat one day. Realizing that this was not normal for him, and knowing his age, and after trying unsuccessfully to reach me, they took him into their home and sat with him. He passed away peacefully in a few hours, in the company of loving humans. After speaking to me, they took him to a local vet and had him cremated and gave me the ashes. It was a hard sad time, and I cannot imagine a better way to end a long life. This is absolutely the best place for a dog to be. The only drawback is that they are so good- and it is not easy to get a space.

Alison takes a maximum of 5 dogs on the group walks, so Camilla has plenty of attention in a less overwhelming environment. Most importantly Camilla gets to run off-leash and explore the local parks! Alison typically takes Camilla (& now my other dog, Jasper) for several hours, despite the "one hour" price. Both of my dogs are high energy, so the off-leash adventure walks are a great way to physically and mentally tire them out. Alison leaves a note stating the time she picked up and dropped off the dogs, along with a little sentence about where they went. We've bumped into Alison at the dog park several times and the dogs are always beyond excited & happy to see her!! I know Alison truly cares about all the dogs in her pack - on what I thought was Camilla's last day with the group before I moved, Alison took Camilla for the ENITRE DAY!
