I have always loved this place. they always do such a great job!! i am very particular and cautious about nail salons and i trust this place very much. i have had a broken nail from hurting it in a car door and they have been taking such good care of its healing process. they are patient yet fast. i never need to tell them how to shape my nails, they always know how to make them look good.

A wonderful and convenient location so perfectly star beautiful Siri very helpful stuff in the world pleasurable experience I wish I could sleep here! Get the top of the line $75 pedicure!!! So worth every penny!! They have so many options here and the prices?? More like investments!! I thought I had both feet transplanted after they were done...wow what a great job!! Call first and get appointment or call for walk in status it's worth it! Some other people got to put up love for this place!

    Next day after gel manicure
    Rosie M.

This is the 3rd time I have gone in for gel x and a day later my nails just fall off. I thought the first time was just bad luck and they 'fixed' the two that fell off for free, so I wasn't that worried. The next day after showering, four more popped off. Again, I went back in and they 'fixed' again. This time charging me $20. This was at the location by pavilions in Malibu. The following Friday I decided to get a new set, hoping that this would fix the problem for good. This time it was at the location by cvs and Ralph's on Malibu rd. Same nail tech, and the next day, after showering, 4 fell off. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AND TIME THESE PEOPLE ARE NOT SKILLED AND RUSH AND CLEARLY DO HORRIBLE WORK.

3rd degree burn from Malibu Nail Spa
    Jadee R.

Horrendous. They burnt my foot with paraffin wax treatment, wiped the blood away and over the next few days the toxic chemicals burnt into my skin further. Dr said it is a 3rd degree burn. I spoke to the spa many times & let them know and sent two letters per their request. Months later they asked me go into the spa today, I'm not sure why as they treated me terribly and said I would need proof I was there when they burnt my foot. I paid cash as it's all they accepted. They have the proof which includes both my signature from signing in on the day as well as their camera footage but told me they would not check their books or cameras, as it was my job to prove. I even tipped well on the day for this disgusting treatment. I would suggest avoiding this place, not only did they seriously burn my foot with a toxic wax treatment, they absolutely show no remorse, human decency or honesty. They have absolutely no place operating a local business in a city that prides itself on community.

An OK manicure. Ignore my messed up thumb nail but even there you see how bad the polish on the cuticle looks.

Pretty bad manicure for $60. If you're in Malibu find somewhere else or go somewhere on the way. It will be worth the gas money and what you'll save over going here for a bad manicure. They didn't clean the polish on my cuticles residue everywhere after they finished and when I asked them to they just did it with their nails. Like for $60, use a brush with nail polish remover please like professionals who care. Especially during COVID. I don't want your dirty finger nail cleaning the polish off that's deep in my cuticle. The manicure just wasn't polished or clean looking at all. Looks like I could've done it myself. And yet, there's still polish on my cuticle skin even after asking them to clean it up. There's also top coat all over my cuticles and my cuticles are a mess. Pedicure was better but just fine. I guess everyone has to pay the rent and Malibu isn't cheap -- that's the only way I could justify the cost of this manicure/pedicure which I'm sure will only last a few days. The guy that works here is very nice and seems to be cleaning the salon really thoroughly but the manicurists don't seem great especially for the price. Basically they look fine but not great & for $60 I expect great.

The owner is not wearing a mask, and he neglects the supply he has next to him. #bluemask

Probably the worst place I have ever been. $100 for regular pedicure and gel manicure. I got cut on one finger. When it was time to pay, I brought it up to the manager and she apologized and suggested not to leave a tip.... seriously!???? 1) I wasn't asking for a discount 2) if you wanted to make me "happy", why not taking that money off of the $100?? Why suggested not to leave a tip??? Absolutely absurd! Never EVER going back there again. I saw the terrible reviews and yet gave it a try. Also, they do not accept any card payment so bring cash! See a picture of the amazing pedicure I got (sarcasm) Giving it 2 stars because the people working there took their time doing there job and sanitized accordingly

Employees are so mean and make up prices on the spot. The woman didn't even massage my feet and charged me $50 for a pedicure. The pedicure was terrible quality and this business should be ashamed.

I went to this place on a whim cause I was in a hurry to get a gel mani and I had acrylic on. I wanted a soak off and for them to put gel on..the lady insisted I get some kind of polymer substance on my nails and didn't even take my acrylic off. The nails are super thick and bumpy.. still have acrylic on, and didn't even get what I asked for. I learned my lesson not to cheat on my normal nail salon pics posted. Fingers pruny because I just got out of the bath but you get the gist..

The most replenishing experience!! What stood out the most is the gentle kindness of the women who provided their services. It is by far the best neck, back and foot massage I've had in a salon like this. Four Seasons level! They employed focused attention with my pedicure. My feet were pretty beat up. I especially appreciate the feeling that the extra work was not something to be ashamed of. My feet look beautiful and my heart is happy! Thank you, Nancy (massage) and Linda (pedicure and massage)!!! I even got a Mother's Day hug because they sensed I could use it!!

I had a wonderful experience with Ly and Tony at this beautiful salon. I did schedule an appointment and was immediately greeted when I walked in the door. Everyone was very nice and the salon was very clean. The prices are reasonable for a mani/pedi. Ly asked me if I wanted the extra salt scrub and callus remover before doing it and what it would cost. Tony did an excellent job putting on clear polish with my natural nails. The total for both was $60. They have many seats and chairs available for both services and it's actually cleaner the way they have it set up. The bowls are covered in plastic for sanitary reasons. The massage chair works magnificently. I was there for about an hour as they both took their time and did not rush They were both very nice and have strong hands when doing the massage portion on your arms, hands, calves and feet. Thank you for a great experience!!

    Just.... No

First off I want to say I do nails- I am in a time crunch and wanted an acrylic set for my birthday. This is by far the worst set I've had on my nails. They are bulky, I left with sticky stuff all over my fingers, they tried to charge 10 bucks for the smallest cut on my cuticle during the pedicure. Also they make up pricing as you go. I had acrylic residue all over my fingers/ cuticle area as you can see in the pics. They look nothing like the picture. The lady I got made them so thick and I had to constantly correct her asking for the bare minimum. Asking her to make sure to cover the sides of the nail in white too bc she left them bare. I pointed out the white tip arch alignment was way off on two nails, and she left my pinky horribly crooked. I specifically said I want a slight taper not a full on coffin shape and provided a picture. I also asked her to not round the edges- keep them sharp- yet she filed the corners of the nail down. I'll update when I fix them myself but this is ridiculous. My pedicure was fine but for 140 this set isn't worth it. They charged 70 for a PEDICURE with no lotion at the end at all. Now I have to fix them myself and take the time to correct this. I'll update when I fix my nails but I would like a refund. Update: they make up prices as they go the pedicure I got was listed on the door for 55$ and charged me 70. I had to close my place of business hours early bc they insisted they could not do it over the phone. They charged me 10 for my cuticles when there's clearly acrylic all over my nail bed. Just don't- save your $, the owner said she thought I couldn't afford the price that's why I wanted a refund. So that was awesome- I soaked them off and also did an essential oil treatment. They did not come off easily and here's the nails I did last night at 1 am. Much better!

I've definitely had better experiences. Gel manicures should look smooth. Not clumpy by the cuticle. Not coming back.

New person completely fried my hair. It was pretty devastating and I knew I couldn't go back to my original girl so I changed it up and tried Daniella at Cie Salon after seeing her blondes on instagram. She's been taking great care of my hair since the beginning of this year (2024). We started with Milbon fine hair treatment. She turned me onto K 18 and she does offer olaPlex thank God. Between those three additions, her talented hands, and a daily dose of hydrolyzed collagen in my coffee (hydrolyzed is key!) my hair is slowly improving and Daniella is ensuring the color stays dynamic and vibrant without sacrificing the condition of my hair. While I'm still taking a lot of vitamins to keep my hair in optimal condition, Daniella is the real secret behind it. Daniella is a professional and true artist and colorist. I can count on her to be gentle with my baby fine strands and send me confidently out the door after the end of my appointment. The location is perfect as well because who doesn't adore the country mart? Plenty of free parking and you can order from Lucky's next door while at your appointment to help pass the time. Cheers to that!

First facial. And the experience was enjoyable but a bit odd…read more Lori was lovely and walked me through every step of the process: The steam, the setup, each cream, etc. The deep-cleansing facial included a neck and arm massage, tons of cleansers and creams and masks and hot towels. The good: - My face did feel really clean after the facial. A little sticky, after all of the moisturizer, but clean. - Loved the Dermalogica Multivitamin Power Firm used on my eyes and lips! The eh: - The esthetician Oceanne confirmed with my date and time was different than the one I had. Not a huge deal but confusing. - No background. The esthetician kept asking me questions and saying that I should have filled out a questionnaire but I never got one. She was overly insistent about knowing a full medical history - just for a facial. It felt invasive. The bad: - The massage was weak (and I usually ask masseuses to ease up on pressure!) - Something in the next room over came CRASHING down. Not exactly relaxing! - I asked what type of facial the esthetician recommended for my skin type and she didn't answer me. It was strange. Did they not want return business? - I asked what products would be good for my skin type and it was the same - no real answer. Lori recommended a full "treatment plan" but made no real effort to set one up. (In all fairness, I did email the salon for recommendations later and Celeste was lovely with getting back to me with product names.) Still strange.

I have been coming to this salon for haircuts for years. EYELASH EXTENSIONS: Jessica specializes in Russian volume eyelashes (where multiple lashes are placed in fans onto natural eyelashes). While I was excited, I was a little apprehensive. I had gotten 'classic' eyelash extensions elsewhere for my wedding, but they were a bit heavy and I always felt like they looked 'fake'. I was looking to achieve something even more natural, and I also get very nervous when people touch around my eyes. Jessica was great at explaining the difference between the two techniques, and assured me that we could achieve a natural look with the 'volume' lashes. Because they are finer, they remain light and 'fluffy' looking, and are easily customized. You can get a very dramatic look, or a very natural one, depending on the length and number of lashes that are placed. They also last longer. Getting them done was a breeze, I didn't feel ANYTHING - Jessica's steady hands and pleasant demeanor helped me to calm down. You can really tell that she knows what she's doing. I probably could have fallen asleep but we chatted the whole time! The lashes, compared to my previous 'classic' ones, are extremely lightweight. I can't feel them at all, and they are so soft!! I was floored at how natural they look - it was exactly what I wanted. I'm absolutely thrilled, and will definitely be back. WAXING: For waxing, this salon uses exclusively hard wax (which doesn't stick to the skin like muslin strips do) - it makes for an experience that is minimally painful (as much as it can be!). The experience was quick, and afterwards, a bit of aloe helped to calm things down. HAIR: I have been getting my hair cut here with Gayana for years - and she recently helped me through cutting a whopping seven inches off of my hair, even though I was SO nervous (I've had the same long-layered hairstyle for ten years). She gave me great advice on handling the weight of my hair with a short hairstyle, and steered me away from a blunt cut (thank goodness) to avoid my thick hair getting too fluffy. I truly appreciated her advice, rather than her just following the photos I brought in without considering the hair types. We found something that would achieve the look I wanted while respecting my hair type. Overall, I have to say that while I started coming to Oceanne just for hair, I am just so happy every time I try something new. Thanks Celeste and everyone at Oceanne for taking care of me after all of these years!!
