Last month, I bit the bullet and headed over on my day off. I got a full set of UV gel nails. To start, this was the fastest I've ever had a new set of gel nails applied. I was in and out in an hour. The man and woman working at the time were very pleasant. The woman did my nails and applied a french tip and design to each nail by hand, which came out wonderfully. Every other place I've gone to has either used airbrush to get the tip this perfect or did a sloppy job by hand. I enjoyed my first experience so much that I went back with my mother for pedicures and an eyebrow wax. The pedicure chairs are extremely comfortable and clean. My mom received a gel manicure (the soak-off kind) with a natural rounded french tip. They looked immaculate. My eyebrows were done very well and I couldn't be happier. Even with all of these services, we were still out in about an hour, without feeling rushed whatsoever. To summarize, if you're thinking of skipping this place due to the other negative reviews, I urge you to give it a try. The prices are moderate and the service and quality is excellent. I will absolutely return regularly. Actually, I already have my next appointment booked!

The upside is that the shop has gel color that matches regular nail polish colors so one's manicure and pedicure can match. That's a major plus. The shop also does brows. That's great for this area. Janet has a nice looking shop but two ill behaved dogs that tear up magazines, jump on customers with wet nails, and escape from the shop to have other people have to come out and chase them down. On my last visit I actually had to help wrangle a dog in the street with wet toes while the owner did nothing. I got my gel mani redone today again and again she filed down my nails again, ruining their length when I ask her not too. The gel is messily done and looks like plain nail polish. She was hasty, not paying attention and my nails look like I did them at home. I am so disappointed with the job she did. I wanted to support a local business but from now on will go back to either Nefertiti Nails or NGL. The Upper Valley doesn't have many options but this just isn't a good choice.
