Nicole is an amazing, honest, and talented stylist. I moved to NH and was extremely worried about…read morefinding a salon..... and, with Vivo, I feel like I have a stylist!
I went to Vivo in April, wanting a balyage. Nicole met me for a consult, and was an active listener. She told me up front that they are $100/hr for a balyage service, and suggested I blocked off 4 hours. She must have observed my eyes bug out of my head, because she told me how closely they pay attention to the minutes (charge by the 1/4 hour) and that processing time does not include that rate. I paid $250 for my hair, which ... I am not mad about AT ALL. Nicole told me that balyage will last about 6 -8 months... I laughed inside, thinking "okay, that means I'll be getting a touch up in 4" but so far, I 100% believe her.
My hair, when I left was a perfect, subtle balyage for spring. And now, writing this review a month later, it's still a perfect balyage for summer. My blonde has brightened with the season beautifully and naturally.
I even asked her about purchasing salon-grade shampoo/conditioner as well as products, confessing that I typically buy crappy suave when it's on sale. She didn't judge, but told me that because I was not dying my hair, but lifting, that the hair products I used were fine, and gave me suggestions of products to use in the future if I wanted the blonde to highlight faster or slower. I have an insane amount of frizz, so she also suggested a product for that. She never put any pressure to buy additional services.
The first week nobody noticed. The second week, I had people asking if I got my hair done, and now - (a month later), I get compliments on my hair almost everyday.
Honesty in service, billing, and upkeep, and it looks better and better after you've had it done?........ YES, PLEASE! Love this place, love Nicole. I may be going only a couple times a year, but I am sold!
