I don't usually leave reviews, but after my wife's experience at The Nail Forum, I think it's important to share. We chose this salon because of its excellent reviews. Her first visit was great--she had Gel-X nails and a pedicure, the staff was friendly, and she left happy. Unfortunately, every visit after that was disappointing. During her second appointment, the salon called and asked her to arrive 45 minutes early. She changed her plans to accommodate them, only to be told it was a mistake and asked to wait anyway. No apology was offered. Throughout the appointment, she was passed between multiple technicians, told her requested nail design was "too much nail art," and was still charged extra. We decided to give the salon one more chance. At her third appointment (June 25), she arrived early but wasn't seated until about 20 minutes after her scheduled time, while customers who arrived later were helped first. When she asked why, she was told there weren't enough chairs, which didn't make sense given what she observed. Once she was finally seen, she explained she had another appointment because the salon was already running behind. Instead of acknowledging the delay, the technician repeatedly tried to convince her to repair her existing Gel-X nails instead of providing the new set she had booked. When my wife insisted on the service she scheduled, the technician responded, "Since you're being so pushy, we'll do a new set." When she mentioned I was waiting because they were behind schedule, she was simply told, "Tell your husband to wait." This isn't about one late appointment. We understand delays happen. The issue was the repeated pattern of poor communication, disorganization, long waits despite appointments, later-arriving clients being seated first, pressure to change the service she booked, dismissive comments, and a lack of respect for customers' time. The technicians are talented, and the nail work itself can be very good. Unfortunately, good customer service is just as important. After giving The Nail Forum three chances, we won't be returning. I hope management takes this feedback seriously because better communication, scheduling, and professionalism would make a significant difference. read more

I've been going to this salon for as long as they've been in business...20 years? 25 years? I used to see Amy before she left and now I see Yvonne and Wendy. Yvonne puts extra work in my gel manicure to make it last longer because I'm so hard on my nails and Wendy does an amazing job on my signature polka dot pedicure. Both ladies are the best. The front desk staff is always pleasant and helpful. The salon is clean. In two decades I've never had an issue with lifting (I used to do acrylics), infection, or germs. I'm sorry but please look at my nails. They were not cleaned up at all and this is the next day. Since I had chrome I thought after a few hand washes that "messy" look around the sides of my nail would go away but no. I'm just confused on how they let me leave like this. It also took forever to get into my appointment. It was at 4:30 and they didn't take me in until 4:50. They're nice people but they are all over the place almost like they're just rushing and doing everything as fast as they can to get it over with. Idk what to do ab this, I might go back to make them redo it but I feel bad so I'm just leaving a review to let y'all know to save your money and time. Btw this gel manicure was the same price as acrylics I got at another place in SCV. So they're pricey, and not even for a better job lol. read more

They do a very good job, but when it's time to pay, the price is different from what's listed on their website. The pedicure (the most expensive one) was advertised at $42, plus $10 for jelly, which should have been $52. However, I was charged $60, and no one could explain why there was an extra $8. I didn't have acrylic or anything additional done. So just be careful--they don't charge what they advertise.It's not honest, so I won't be coming back. read more

I had the basic manicure. The technician was thorough and did excellent work on my cuticles. The vibe felt customer oriented, professional, and the facility was very clean. There was one glitch in the pricing when I went to check out, but management was quick to resolve it, showing a strong customer service outlook. I'll be going back! read more

It was $10 more just for GLITTER nail polish and the lady would NOT let me in until I confirmed with her (in great detail) that I: -Had enough money to pay -What method I was using to pay -AND, what was most rude and invasive, if I had "enough money for tip" It was pretty insulting considering my mother and I were looking for a nice treat and girls day together. We were all done up and looked cute but were met with such odd and invasive treatment compared to other patrons. My mom and I have been coming here for almost 20 years and have always had the best service from Sami! When I bring friends or my daughter with me, we also see Nancy and have always loved our experience with both of them. They are so gentle and friendly and our nails always look amazing. The polish and the beautiful artwork always last a long time because the quality of their products are the best out there. I've also had the waxing services with Sami and it's always gone well. Love how clean it is there and the open layout. Weekdays are best if you want a more serene experience as the weekends are pretty busy. read more

Chau is horrible. Dug on to my skin so hard that it made me react because it was painful. Instead of apologizing, she rudely and out loudly says, you have a lot of dirt in there. And I responded and said "understood, but it hurts." She still did not change her tone, instead asked, "what do you want me to do, don't clean in there?" For context, I routinely go to this place and no one has hurt me like that and that my pedi was still recently done from the last pedicure I had. Basically, she was blaming instead of apologizing. No accountability. I was not in the mood to argue even though her initial attitude was lackluster. Her tone changed later on and became somewhat pleasant. Nevertheless, her earlier tone has already helped me made up my mind about this place. Not going to this place anymore. Technicians like to switch technicians when they're running late, some massages their customer, some don't, and some techs are in between two clients. read more

I rarely leave reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience due to how poorly I was treated. I went in to get my nails done--specifically a white French line. What I got was far from what I asked for. The lady in charge of me hardly said and word and when I showed her my inspo picture she just nodded. She was quick to say that it would be an additional charge for whatever else I wanted,. When I tried to explain what I wanted, they cut me off repeatedly and didn't listen to the details. clearly. It felt like they just wanted to get me in and out without any care for the actual work or customer satisfaction. The final result looked nothing like what I asked for. The white French lines were SO uneven. It looked like a huge blob. I thought a simple French tip was a common technique that every nail artist should know how to do but apparently not. I'm extremely disappointed and will not be returning. If you care about quality I don't recommend coming here at ALL. If I could give a zero star I would. I've tried this nail location three times now, two pedicures and once for a regular manicure. To be honest, this place is dirty. If you look around, you'll see that the floors and sinks are not that clean. My nails were fine but the technicians don't do more than basic stuff. So when they get nail polish on your skin next to the nail, most salons will take a brush with nail polish remover and take it off. Not here. Happened every time I came here. So strange because they saw it and just ignored it. The other thing I noticed is they don't put a top coat on the nails so it lasts a little longer. Not sure why this place is so busy because there are much better places in Santa Clarita. I'm sorry but I can't recommend this place. read more

I'm so disappointed by this nail spot, to preface I have been a long time customer for over 10 years, my mom and I have been getting our nails done here and its always been great but recently they have just not been up to par. I want to make it clear this review is not for the ladies that we typically go to to get our nails done but for the management. The last few times we have been the up front desk girls have been completely dismissive and rude both when we check in and check out or call to make an appointment since you can't book online. This last week I was trying to make an appointment to get my nails done before a wedding and was placed on hold twice, the first time for 10 minutes before the line disconnected. When I called back about 10 minutes after that I was placed on hold for 35 MINUTES! Never have I ever been placed on hold for that long just to make an appointment AND I never got to make an appointment because they never picked the phone back up. I ended up just hanging up since at that point it was over 10 minutes past their listed close time. Again really disappointed by this since before about 6 months ago everything had been amazing at this location. Maybe it's time to find a new nail place. read more

I'm very disappointed with my recent experience at Nail Forum. I requested a light pink base with white polka dots, but when I asked for a second coat so my natural nail wouldn't show through, I was told no. I also asked for several nails to be reshaped because they all looked noticeably different. Some were corrected, others were made worse, and a few were dismissed as "fine" even though they clearly weren't. I've been coming to the Santa Clarita location for years, but I'm really unhappy with how my nails turned out--especially right before the holidays.
