School of Rock Pearland deserves every bit of recognition it gets, especially for its Adult…read moreProgram. When I walked through the doors in 2022, I could barely form clean first-fret chords and didn't even know what a power chord was. Three years later, I was performing songs like "Sad But True" by Metallica and "Man in the Box" by Alice in Chains--and doing it confidently. The reason is simple: the instructors are exceptional. Cameron and George are phenomenal guitar teachers--true technicians who understand how to build musicians from the ground up. They're patient, focused, and know exactly how to push you toward real progress. Jessica and Aaron, despite being young, are seasoned professionals when it comes to directing. Their musicianship is extraordinary, and they lead by example. You don't just learn from them--you rise to the standard they set. I give special credit to Trevor, the owner. He's a talented multi-instrumentalist who has built a culture that's serious about musicianship while keeping the environment fun and inspiring. His Pearland and Memorial locations both feel like real studios: pro gear, great lighting, clean design, and an atmosphere that tells you, "You belong here." I entered as a total beginner. I left as a House Band member. If you're an adult wanting to learn guitar, drums, bass, keys, or vocals--and you want a program that challenges you the way a skilled trainer pushes you in the gym--this is the place. School of Rock Pearland doesn't just teach you music; it transforms you into a musician.

I'd much rather drive half an hour to this pearland location, than saving my precious time going to…read morea sister location much closer to me. My daughter took piano at another location, because that's what mommy dearest wanted her to learn. I stopped projecting my hopes and dreams on to her, and have let her do whatever the heck she wants. Now she is trying her hands at the drums. What makes Pearland so much better? 1. Although there is some Merch for sale, it's not a store front. 2. There's plenty of sitting for us parents so controlling we can't seem to drop them off. 3. The cameras in every lesson room, and TV screen I can watch her every move. Stalker mom. 4. All the Instagramable murals. 5. The kids hang out club room. Foosball included! 6. Group lessons, besides her private lessons. She's part of a band! 7. The email progress notes from the instructor after lessons. I like knowing what she did. I must add being the new kid is hard, especially in group settings, I really appreciate how much the owner Trevor took with my daughter on her first day making her comfortable. She jumped right in singing on her first day. Will is a great instructor, well they all are she's already had the pleasure of getting direction from a few if not all. Sky is a lovely, sweet, young woman taking care of administrative duties. Taking payments, explaining deals, lessons available, being the sales woman, and enforcing the Covid-19 protocols. Definitely worth it, and you have nothing to lose first lesson is free! Tell them Elaina sent you. #sportysassylana

When my daughter got adamant about learning to play the piano I could have searched high and low…read morefor the perfect piano teacher, but I didn't. Instead I took her to Pearland Music Studio. We went diligently for one whole year. My daughter, a national perfectionist, really liked her teacher and played at home, setting a timer to make sure she followed the practice instructions to a tee. After a year of lessons it dawned on me that she knows nothing besides a book of simple melodies she practiced (naturally she was invited to a "recital" to play those for an additional 40 bucks). Her hand position was completely wrong, nor was she really taught to read music. I shrugged it off and encouraged another activity. Yet she kept practicing on her own, watching YouTube videos for instructions. So I decided to go and actually talk to people to see who got results. First time around, plenty of people I asked had praised Pearland Music Studio because their teachers were 'nice,' but none told me, "my child plays now!" This time I was looking for results (no concert pianist by any means, just some skills to play for pleasure). When I found a private teacher my daughter learned more taking the same 30min a week lessons in just a few months than she did at Pearland Music. Lesson learned.

Warning to All! Unfortunately, I didn't read the reviews before becoming a victim…read more Mrs. Leng doesn't possess the professional skillset of one who should own/operate a business that is a customer-based organization. I called 2.5 hours ahead of a scheduled TRIAL music session to advise her that my 3 year old daughter was going to be transported to the ER due to a sudden onset of an illness and wouldn't make that lesson and if I could reschedule. Understanding there are policies around absences, my priority was to advise them of the current event. To my dismay, the attitude expressed via Ms. Swee Leng was implausible! The lady said to me when I told her my daughter was being transported to the ER, "I still have to pay the teacher!" OMG!!! Mind you that I've already paid the $90 for a 3-lesson trial and for 3 of the music books; we had only exhausted 1 lesson at this point. She also asked me to provide her an update at noon, not because she was concerned about my daughter's well-being, but to know if she was going to make the lesson!!!! OMG! Her last statement to me when I told her my daughter will more than likely not make it was, "Bottom line, I have to pay the teacher; take care of your daughter." and I heard a "click". WOW. I was completely taken aback by that behavior. After careful consideration, I decided that her music studio IS NOT the environment conducive for MY family at the least. She needs some business coaching! She lacks customer service, soft skills, and just plain human decency!!! How she's managed to stay in business must solely be off the strength of her staff. Save yourself the grief, money, and time...find another studio that values their students!
