I didn't even know this until my kid asked me to sign the card. They can put all the nice words and all the stars in the grading card but you will not really know. Their principle is group teaching. A teacher teaches a small group of kids every lesson time. The manager can tell you all the good things of their method and principles of their teaching. But is this really what is happening inside the classroom? Are the teachers really doing what they are supposed to do? My child learned more in 2 months in a private one-on-one than he had learn here in 6 months. Here, nobody really knows how they are teaching your kid. You are not even allowed to see them during the class. You are allowed to peep through a peephole. A peephole! You can't even see whether your child is participating or really getting the time and attention of the teacher. And what if a teacher does not care about your child? You will never know. There is no real transparency in this school. I think that the one-on-one method of teaching is better. It maybe a little expensive but it is worth all the money. I think you will actually spend more money in this place for the amount of learning that your child will get in the same span of time, gas and parent effort. I understand that this is a business. But this place is all about business. I feel that their concern about your auto-pay outweighs their concern of your child's learning. I now call this place The Music Disconnection.

Cameron and George are phenomenal guitar teachers--true technicians who understand how to build musicians from the ground up. They're patient, focused, and know exactly how to push you toward real progress. Jessica and Aaron, despite being young, are seasoned professionals when it comes to directing. Their musicianship is extraordinary, and they lead by example. You don't just learn from them--you rise to the standard they set. I give special credit to Trevor, the owner. All the Instagramable murals. 5. The kids hang out club room. Foosball included! 6. Group lessons, besides her private lessons. She's part of a band! 7. The email progress notes from the instructor after lessons. I like knowing what she did. I must add being the new kid is hard, especially in group settings, I really appreciate how much the owner Trevor took with my daughter on her first day making her comfortable. We went diligently for one whole year. My daughter, a national perfectionist, really liked her teacher and played at home, setting a timer to make sure she followed the practice instructions to a tee. After a year of lessons it dawned on me that she knows nothing besides a book of simple melodies she practiced (naturally she was invited to a "recital" to play those for an additional 40 bucks). Her hand position was completely wrong, nor was she really taught to read music. I shrugged it off and encouraged another activity. Yet she kept practicing on her own, watching YouTube videos for instructions. So I decided to go and actually talk to people to see who got results. First time around, plenty of people I asked had praised Pearland Music Studio because their teachers were 'nice,' but none told me, "my child plays now!" This time I was looking for results (no concert pianist by any means, just some skills to play for pleasure). When I found a private teacher my daughter learned more taking the same 30min a week lessons in just a few months than she did at Pearland Music. Lesson learned.

I am a regular customer who visits this location every Friday night to enjoy the store. However, my experience this past week was completely unacceptable. While the store's posted closing time is 9:00 PM, the manager on duty began aggressively shutting down and rushing customers out at 8:50 PM. By 8:55 PM, she demanded that everyone be completely out of the building. More concerningly, she completely locked and closed the back entrance leading to the parking lot by 8:55 PM. I was traveling with two small children and asked if we could exit through that door to get to our vehicle safely. The manager flatly refused to reopen the door, rudely stating that she "didn't have time" and that the "door was too heavy." Locking exits early and forcing a parent with two young children to walk all the way around the building in the dark--simply because a manager wants to leave early--is a major customer service failure and a safety concern. This manager demonstrated a complete disregard for paying customers and clear resentment toward her job responsibilities. As a loyal customer, I expect much better leadership and basic empathy from Barnes & Noble management. I request that this incident be reviewed with the store's general manager and regional leadership, and I look forward to your response regarding how this is being addressed.
