No one repaired the table to avoid this happening again and no one apologized. My friend was upset the entire night solely because no apology was given as he didn't do anything but sit down and touch the table top. Funny enough, the table behind us had the same problem happen and luckily they caught their food and beverages before they had a disaster but they backed away from that side of the table.
