This is our third time here, each visit keeps getting better!…read more Highly recommend trying the corn chaat and the white elephant dosa. The chaat has such a perfect balance of sweet, savory, spicy, and has an incredibly addictive chew. The elephant dosa is the best dosa on the peninsula - their spice adds a subtle flavor and aroma that is unmatched. Shoutout to our waitress Jenna who was so professional and was so attentive waiting on us. She made our experience all the much better, thank you Jenna!

It's smaller than saffrons and it's still more expensive !! the service it's alright but I think they kinda force you to eat something not let's you have a variety like saffron The ambience sucks and there are kids running everywhere not recommended Oh yeah and also the small butter chicken was 34 dollars and it was very average. They don't have non bread and the bread they had was very greasy and unhealthily. The service sucks and the people are snooty and rude to there customers they do not deserve 4 michelen awards! There is no lunch special and I feel like they were trying to make me leave just because I entered they make the drinks very small but still 10 bucks Don't go there

Amazing Indian-Pakistani restaurant in Burlingame. We stopped by on our way back from the airport…read more Not too crowded on a Saturday early evening. It gets crowded later as most Indians/Pakistanis eat dinner late in the evening, like 9pm . So pro-tip for Indo-Paki restaurants is to go around 7pm. We ordered Tandoori wings, Mattar Paneer, Shrimp masala and Butter naans. Tandoori wings were served sizzling which was nice. Perfectly cooked. Shrimp masala was good but not quite jumbo sized shrimp but still good. Mattar paneer was standard bay area quality. Our server was nice and courteous. Overall Rasoi is a pretty good choice in SFO airport area and prices were very reasonable despite the inflation.

You cannot go wrong with ANY of those. I'm not a vodka drinker and all of their HH drinks are pretty much vodka based, but they're delicious! We have had chicken madras, chicken biryani, and garlic/regular Naan and it was all delicious. You can choose your spicy level. Come in during the week for their HH which ends at 6:30pm and you cannot go wrong. My husband and I share with our toddler daughter and we all leave very satisfied. The service is also superb. We everyone is nice and welcoming and you are taken care of. The atmosphere is kid friendly and quiet enough to talk with each other but not super quiet that it is awkward. You cannot go wrong with a meal here. Ohhh and we happens to try the rice pudding one day and that was delicious! Although I was skeptical at first.

Saturday night, family dinner, and feeling adventurous. We decided to try Nepalese/Himalayan food…read moreand ordered chicken momos, bara with eggs, the famous lamb shank, chicken tikka masala, tandoor prawns, paneer tikka masala, and garlic naan. It was a flavorful adventure for our taste buds. The lamb shank was tender and fell off the bone easily. The chicken tikka masala and tandoor prawns were both very flavorful. We were less impressed with the bara with eggs, but the garlic naan was a hit. We ended up ordering a second serving. This was our first time trying paneer. To us, it tasted similar to tofu, with a softer, chewy texture. It was fun to try something new. We would definitely return the next time we're craving Nepalese/Himalayan food.

Service was excellent, checked in frequently, and gave recommendations for our meal. We had gotten the aduwa sake, strawberry sake, crab cakes, gobi manchurian, malal broccoli, lamb vindaloo, and garlic naan. Everything was solid. I'd say we both liked the lamb vindaloo the most. The meat just melted, sauce was great. The crab cakes were my partner's second. It had a nice light crunch to it, and didn't feel heavy at all. I liked the gobi manchurian 2nd but I'm a sucker for cauliflower. It was a bit too spicy for my partner though. The garlic naan were also piping hot which was great. They were still closing up shop and eating together at the end. The vibe is great here, and it is nice to discover another option when we're in town. Hopefully, we'll have more time to take things in next time.

The dosa which is the main dish as it's in the name of the place - also was a disappointment- it was too thick and wasn't crispy or aerated like a normal dosa batter. All the while I ate the dosa, I felt that it was cakey and the batter was way off from traditional batter :( next dish we tried is the mysore bonda - we expected nice hot bonda with some potato filling, but what we got was plain batter with no salt or any flavour deep fried and tossed on the plate. Lastly, the chutneys are also very mediocre. Although the people are friendly and you are served too soon, the food is really underwhelming for me to try again!

Dosa Express has an extensive tiffin menu with an Andhra influence (they have punugulu, mirchi bajji, etc) We got the paneer dosa and the mini idlis to share and a masala chai. The dosa was crispy and the paneer was a nice addition to it. However we were disappointed by the chutneys and sambar which were brightly colored but lacked authentic flavor. The chai tasted too milky and had an odd taste so we let it go after a couple of sips. Overall, they will have a lot of room to improve if they want to catch up to the expectations set by other South Indian places in the Bay like Mylapore or Madras Cafe.

Momo & Curry served as a great introduction to Nepalese food and is a great addition to Millbrae…read moresince opening August 2025. The naan, curry, and mango lassi were delicious here. Walking into this hole in the wall, I was struck by how much bigger the interior is. There's plenty of seating in the casual restaurant and pages of menu to flip through. Good service. Food & drink available: various appetizers, chow mein, biryani, curries, naan, momos (dumplings), combo rice bowls, tandoori, desserts, and beverages. They serve exclusive Timur beer which I didn't try. For a party of two, we tried: -Naan: garlic, cheese, and onion (this was more than enough) -Vegetable Jhol momo (warm, spicy, tangy broth) - Chicken curry -Mango lassi Would definitely come back to try more dishes.

We visited early on a Sunday for dinner, so grabbing a table wasn't a problem. *** O U R P I C K S *** LAMB BIRYANI ~ A flavorful rice dish with plenty of veggies and meat mixed in, almost like fried rice. Generous portion! 4/5 CHICKEN COCO CURRY ~ This dish was tasty and flavorful. The chicken was tender, with a nice tomato-based sauce blended with creamy coconut milk. 4/5 CHICKEN MANCHURIAN COCO PALAU BOWL ~ (under combo bowls) The Chicken Manchurian tasted a bit like Peking spareribs, except it was made with chicken. It was deep-fried and coated in a sweet and sour sauce. Definitely more sweet than sour and reminiscent of orange chicken from Panda Express. Sadly, the salad was wilted. It looked and tasted like it came from a pre-packaged bag rather than being freshly cut. The only thing freshly cut were the cherry tomatoes. This is a restaurant, not a fast-food spot, so I expected better quality. The rice was average. I wouldn't recommend the bowls. They may be cost-effective, but the quality just isn't there. 3/5 While the individual dishes were decent, the Chicken Manchurian Bowl felt more like something you'd get at a fast-food spot than at a restaurant. I'd stick with ordering the individual dishes instead. There are more and more Himalayan restaurants popping up around the Bay Area, and many of them are top-notch! While this spot was good, I don't think it'll make it into my regular rotation.
