Last time, a male employee accidentally broke a painting my friend was buying at checkout. When she didn't want to pay full price for something that had just been damaged, he was clearly annoyed. When we came back, that same broken painting was still sitting there at full price. Okay. This time we were literally just browsing and heading to checkout. We weren't loud, we weren't causing issues, nothing. Out of nowhere, a male staff member told us we were being kicked out. While walking to the register, we even asked if they were closing early. They said no. So they're not closing... but we're being kicked out? And somehow we're still allowed to check out and give them our money. Make that make sense. At the register, his whole attitude was hostile and clearly meant to make us uncomfortable. I was uncomfortable enough that I didn't even want to use my card. My friend paid cash instead. Then another older male employee walked up with a smug look while we were finishing. When we calmly asked why we were being asked to leave, we were told, "the people on the cameras don't want you here." That's not an actual reason. If there was a problem, say it. If there was an assumption being made (like thinking we're resellers), communicate that. We're not. Instead, it just felt like two older male employees decided they didn't want two young women in their store and handled it in the most unprofessional way possible. I genuinely do not recommend young women shop here. The whole situation was uncomfortable and unnecessary.

This is just like a Plato's Closet or any other such thrift clothing sales store. The staff was really nice and the building is laid out quite well. The prices were fantastic and a great bang for your buck. I found several things to buy but ended up settling on one complete outfit. A Jean skirt and a beautiful light fall sweater. They made for a very cute combination. This store is in a nice area of town and there was plenty of close in parking. The building was clean and well maintained. My date that night loved my outfit so the excursion was a complete success. She claimed the skirt the next morning so now I need to find another one. Lol.

First of all, this is not your typical cheesy…read morelittle old west portrait studio where you throw on some shredded saloon hall costume that ties in the back, throw a leg over a chair and look like you're slugging back a bottle of JD. This place is first class. It's located on the quaint main street of historic mining town, Central City. When it's time for your portrait sitting, they lock the shop door, so it's ONLY your time and you get full attention and privacy so that there are no onlookers gawking. It's a fairly large studio with beautiful back drops, authentic antiques, accessories and a huge selection of vintage clothing, shoes, hats, gloves, suits etc and they're clean and well cared for. There's an actual dressing room! Milda, who is the owner, photographer and overall artistic genius, (with an adorable European accent) makes sure you look just right for the portrait. She takes her time to make sure every last detail is perfect. We were tired of the boring saloon hall photos you see everywhere, so we opted for a more refined Victorian tea look. Milda gave us the exact style photos we wanted and I couldn't be more pleased with them. I now have a special and unique keepsake of me and my mother! Together, with her husband and co-owner, they share so much about the history of Central City and make the entire experience authentic. Now for the photos. AMAZING!! The prices were very reasonable, so much so, that I bought a copy of every shot. I would highly recommend checking out the gallery of photos on her website so that you can see the quality of these vintage style portraits. I will definitely be coming back to this place, I loved it!
