I've done yoga, weight training, stretching. Everything helped a little and some techniques lasted longer than others. But when I had this last round of stubborn pain, I decided to try the Alexander Technique. Bette listens and tunes in to the unique problems of your body and lifestyle. She trains you to think about how you move in everything you do. You learn to let go of muscles you aren't using, how to walk, stand up, sit down and even sleep in ways that will allow ease for your body. First of all, it is quite exciting to learn how to finally have good posture effortlessly by using her visualizations and techniques. But I adapted quickly to all of her suggestions and have been without the chronic pain in my back and shoulder. I am very hopeful that these subtle shifts in movement will keep the pain away. She is a calm, knowledgeable person and her home studio is relaxing and pleasant. A former ballet dancer, she has a unique understanding of the subtleties of movement in the body. I highly recommend doing a set of sessions with her.

For the most part, the gym seems clean and has wipes for one to clean after oneself. I don't know how frequent the turf area actually receives quality cleaning attention so one may opt to use a mat when on the turf area. The gym offers nutritional portions as well. I actually order a Vegan shake once which is so cool (temperature wise), filling, tasty, and sweet though seemingly contains no natural fruits. The establishment has a variety of seating areas. The massage chairs are quite decent. The men's locker room (including the sauna) is quite decent. The group training room offers a different space to vibe which I think is quite cool. I'm finding the Red Light Therapy to be quite interesting post-shower after a workout. I am observing apparent pleasant changes, with particular regard to a fairly recent (months ago) though quite minor allergic reaction postprandial from an eatery I'll likely not order from again by way of delivery. Even so, during a recent use, I notice the machine administering the Red Light Therapy, appears to have a lot of long strands of hair on its floor and in front of its door. I clean the floor of the machine with a few wet wipes which appear to pick up a lot of filth, then throw them away. A different material aside from wet wipes might be necessary to more easily clean the rubber area of the machine. If not already happening, I think periodically checking on the light bulbs will ensure the machine will have all lights functioning more often than not. I like the gym and make good use of it. The establishment accepts different forms of payment.

Every exercise is performed in a controlled and focused fashion. Research indicates that this method produces equal to and greater benefits than traditional lifting methods. The SlowBurn personal training method not only improves your muscular strength, but your flexibility, endurance, aerobic power and metabolic rate. All in just 30 minutes a week. I wanted to be able to workout, have fun, laugh, hear a kick ass playlist to help motivate my workout once fatigue settles in as well as not be in a studio with a class of zombies or boring folks. The instructors have sense of humors and down to earth. I signed up for a free class and never looked back. They have pushed me to challenge myself physically. I was a beginner and he did a great job and showing me the poses as well as adjusting the height on the bike. I did a 45min class, it was intense but I made it! Keep pushing through and with the instructors motivation you'll make it! Remember to breath! I would definitely come back here, it's great for beginners !
