I'm now working on intermediate series and I couldn't do half the stuff I can now without her help. I trust her opinion and her recommendations and I appreciate the way she pushes me to do my best but knows when to back off if I'm not ready. I've been practicing at the studio for over a year now and I am a completely different person than when I started. She has been an absolute light in my life and I'm so grateful to have met her. I hope to practice with Deb for as long as possible! I also love the community here. People are so motivated to do what they love and push themselves to be better. Ashtanga isn't for everyone, it's very repetitive and does not fit certain personality types who want the "flow" type yoga. Folks who are leaving negative reviews have not even taken a class and have not experienced the energy of the shala. What a shame for them!

When a business owner (Grace) goes out of her way to NOT greet clients or say hello (and talk poorly behind their backs), it sets the tone for the overall vibe of the place. She continues to be outwardly inconsiderate to her clients and her teachers. She openly spoke to many people about how she canceled a very successful teacher (who needed the job) because that teacher had clients that she deemed "too privileged." Would you want a business owner speaking poorly about you if you were supporting her business? This is the kind of person that Grace is. Ask anyone.

I'm a total novice at Pilates, so Tara took time to explain proper form and alignment, which I really appreciated. We spent the first part of the session doing mat exercises, and then she led me through some exercises on the Reformer. Tara was friendly, encouraging, and patient, and her explanations were very clear. She adjusted the exercises to my level (absolute beginner), but she also made sure that my form was totally correct, and I'm really grateful for that. Setting up the appointment through the Align website was easy, and I was relieved to find that the studio has its own parking lot, so I didn't have to worry about finding street parking. The studio space is clean, welcoming, and large. I'm looking forward to checking out the group classes at Align and maybe taking some more private sessions.

If I'm basing this review purely on the studio and instructor comparative to other studios I have been to, I have to say it still does not meet the 5 star standard. I've been to a couple of yoga studios and unfortunately this place was not the best or the most amazing studio I have been too. The place was clean and did provide equipment which was definitely a plus and the yoga instructor was very sweet and took her time which was nice but the instructor was mainly on her own mat whereas other places the instructor would walk around and make sure everyone is doing well and help out. There were also other nice free benefits in other studios such as a hot/cool rag that's given after class that's infused with nice aromas- whereas this place (maybe it was just the private event I took) but just did the class and you left. I would say this is your standard local yoga studio where if this is the closest studio it works out but I wouldn't want to drive specifically FOR this studio. Hope this review clarified that my previous review wasn't just based off of how I feel towards restorative yoga but towards the actual studio/experience as well

I used to attend hot/warm/non hot yoga & cardio sculpt classes with co-owner Rebecca Frezza and many other talented instructors pre-Covid.. Like so many, the community was heartbroken when they had to close up back in 2020, BUT: Rebecca, Ilene, Sabratha & Beth have teamed up to do the incredible: pivot and begin again. I cannot imagine the strength of character and creativity it takes to rebuild such a unique community, but these fantastic people are doing it! Alas after enduring incredibly, Zura Bloom reopened right by the Food Town near 6 Points. Their new space is a haven from the outside world: walk up the stairs to the 2nd floor to see that the walls are decorated with John Atura's original paintings, vaulted ceilings and bar studio mirrors and large windows that allow for streaming morning sunlight while maintaining the privacy of those in class. When I step inside the studio.. my mind is put at ease, and I feel welcome. I almost wish I could just hang out at the studio when working remotely just to enJoy the atmosphere some more. There are showers, bathrooms & lovely lavender oil infused towels in the mini fridge to cool down post class. The instructors genuinely care about the people that come to classes, and this is not the kind of place where you will accidentally get hurt doing something that's not right for your body, i.e. classes or "brands" that push you to the point of improper form. Zura welcomes all students of all ages and ability levels, and the instructors are knowledgeable about body mechanics, music and dance, teaching pedagogies and the various philosophies associated with different styles of yoga. I highly recommend any person in search of exercise, health or a bit of peace to attend. Some of my favorite classes are for mindfulness, building strength & excellent instrumental *music curation/choreography* are: - Rebecca's 2:30pm Sat. (Rhthym & Fire*) - Dante's anytime / any day ! When I walked into The Vastu it felt like home...lots of beautiful natural light and very cozy. I was greeted by the owner Kanan who was so wonderful. She gave me a tour of the studio and introduced me to another instructor that was just finished with a class. She truly made me feel so welcome. Couldn't be happier!
