Our goal, since we would be out of state, was to "right price" our home for a fast sale without too much back and forth. We spoke to about 5 different agents about our house. We did our homework ahead of time and narrowed it down to the short list of those who we felt understood the neighborhood and our goals the best. BlueMatch was great here and provided some of the strongest analysis of the bunch. One of the major downsides to real estate is the high transaction costs. Yes, there is a lot to be done, but I have long been skeptical of the commission based process. Given the flat rate pricing structure I was inclined to give BlueMatch the first crack at it. They also had the most forgiving terms for terminating their contract. An option we never came close to considering. Our house sold in just a few days at full price and we got no other offers. Seems to me that it was exactly the "right price". Through the process Steve was great with email and keeping us in the loop. Selling while out of state with BlueMatch was fairly simple and handled online except for the closing docs that had to be notarized. BlueMatch gives you all the stuff you need. A guide through the selling process, fantastic photos, the online presence to find today's buyers and if you purchase through an affiliate you can even get a "refund" of your listing fee. We didn't opt for the last part as we had an Agent we liked in our new city, but I'm still very pleased with the service we received and the price we paid for it. Is there any way to give less than 1 star? Where do I begin…read more.. IF YOU WANT TO SELL YOUR HOME QUICKLY AND FOR THE HIGHEST PRICE POSSIBLE, listen to what I have to say. Real estate agents are motivated by one thing, and that is getting paid. With ReDefy being an up-front, or half up-front payment for their services, it gives them minimal, if any, incentive to get your home sold. Why? Because the agent is already paid. Whether or not they sell your home within days, weeks or months, it makes absolutely no difference in their paycheck. Unlike normal agencies, they do not market your property until you have paid and signed a nonrefundable contract, which then gives you no leverage in the business relationship. If at any point you want to fire/change agents from there, you would forfeit your funds or begin an ugly court battle to try and get them back. Additionally, your Redefy agent is the first point of contact with any potential buying agent/client so if your relationship has soured with them, you best expect they are putting minimal or no effort in presenting your property in good light/motivating buyers to submit strong offers immediately. Let my lesson be the one you do not have to experience. If you want to sell your home quickly and with someone that will market it to the best ability possible, choose an agency that has represented other sellers in the same neighborhood and doesn't request payment until the home is sold.

My property was a duplex with four renters, all with differing schedules. Add in Covid challenges and it was not an easy endeavor to sell the home. We had almost 20 showings within the first two days of it being on the MLS. And I had 6 competing offers within those first two days. The first buyer got cold feet and Allison went to work on getting it relisted while also following up with all the people that had already looked at it. The renters weren't thrilled about having more showings so Allison's diligence paid off in spades when we were able to sell it to one of the original buyers without needing more showings, for the same price as the original buyer.
