I called, but didn't expect to talk to anyone, figuring, who could possibly be working at 5 on a Friday in June? Um, Roberta was - and it was pure awesome after that. She ended up giving us lots of options (something not everyone does), and, bonus! she explained them to us. We had what I thought was a tight time frame to close (30 days), but apparently this is like years to Roberta, and she had us ready to close in about 14 days (which btw included a 4 day holiday weekend). She communicated constantly and actually took my phone calls, too -- in short, it was just great customer service at a scary time when I needed it most. She was gracious, efficient, and super-knowledgeable. She also had the best rate and the lowest fees - go figure. I've already recommended her and i will continue to do so without reservation

Melissa was super responsive and explained every step of the process to me. She called my realtor and got him everything he needed and we made an offer the same day I called her! She and her team raised the bar and spoiled us during what would normally be a stressful process. We requested multiple scenarios throughout the process and she was ready and willing to run models to show us what our choices would look like for us financially - and this was all while she was planning her daughter's wedding! Another attractive feature working with Karen Camblin and Guild Mortgage is that Guild Mortgage carries our loan, so once the process of buying a home is over, you're still dealing with the same company instead of being passed over to an unknown mortgage company. Karen and her team offer transparency, accessibility, knowledge, and an extremely high level of customer service. We will NEVER use another lender!

If there are any hiccups, she is the first to reach out to us and assist as much as she can. When Karen first worked with us, she made us feel comfortable with the process and did what she could to get us the best rate, the lowest amount of costs, and was fully transparent. On the second purchase, she was always available through the 2 years we were searching. She never gave us the impression that we were bothering her and was always quick to reply. In addition, when she was on vacation or out of office, she would send a reply text that she was out but will have her assistant call to assist. This is something that you cannot get from a community bank or a credit union. Karen's service and dedication is second to none and I continuously refer her to family and friends, without hesitation. We went to her as strangers looking for a loan and now consider her family.

Worst mortgage broker ever! Do NOT deal with these falsely…read moremarketed & shady people. I was directed to them as I work in public education for the state of CA. They are the "Teacher Next Door" program lender. DO NOT be fooled - they are amazingly archaic, oblivious to the current real estate market, and offer very high interest rates! We applied for a pre-approval (not full underwriting) with a hard pull on our credit, submitted documents, proof of income and pay stubs. A week later, they reply and said they are sending out written letter of verification of employment. I said WHAT ? We are not at that stage of underwriting so I was confused. So we then get a call from their network "realtor" asking if we wanted to look for a home. I asked realtor "um where do you suggest we look for a home in Los Angeles County for under $400,000 ?". The realtor said nothing - I said, how about a vacant lot in the Mojave desert ? The realtor said she knows something about Southern California realty so tried to apologize. I could not believe the gall of this mortgage company to offer such a low amount to a state of California employee! Very disappointed with this company. Don't waste your time!
