Working with Ashley was a pleasure. She presents clients with a variety of possible choices for the mortgage in terms of rates and closing costs. During our process, she produced two videos to explain all of the possibilities. We got other quotes, but the largest number of scenarios presented by the others was four and usually one or two. It is important to do your due diligence and we certainly did, but Ashley came through with a rate that was almost 1/16% below the next lowest and had closing costs slightly less than that lender. It is important to point out that you will pay up front for the credit check through Ashley. Other lenders don't require that, but you'll pay for it if you go with them, along with the credit checks of other potential clients that didn't go with them. We did a refinance through Ashley. From submitting our application to the loan being funded was a period of about 3 weeks. This time period was aided by Ashley letting us know beforehand what documents we would need. As a point of comparison, some of the lenders that we contacted were estimating 90 days, likely due to the volume of refinances right now. 90 days wouldn't be a deal-breaker if they can lock your rate and won't charge to extend the lock, but it's so much easier to just get through with the process and not have to worry about such things or continuing to pay the higher rate of the old mortgage. All of this being said, the process was very easy on our end and went very smooth. Ashley had a title company lined up, which was able to send out a mobile notary, which was the only part of the process that was not contact-free (and they could have made that contact-free if necessary). All of this is to say that you are well advised to work with Ashley Blanton for your mortgage needs. She made the process pain-free and she had the most competitive loan details for us. Ashley consistently went above and beyond to make our first home buying process as smooth, comprehensible, and fast as possible. She was readily available to answer questions, and was always knowledgeable and capable of personally answering any random questions either my husband or I had about the loan process.
