The fare is not exotic though very hearty, tasty, and filling. The staff inside the cafe and the general store are the nicest, warmest, most congenial, most polite, and civil I have every had the opportunity to interact with in my life. I know that is saying a lot. Yet, I stand by my statement. The store and the Café are spotless. As are the bathrooms. The truly amazing thing about the Slanesville General store and The Main Street Grill (Café) if there is not something there that you might need or want - Ask. They just might be able to get it for you within a few days. Or make it in the Café. If not, they will tell you where you might find the item you are searching for and need or want. The Slanesville General Store is a deli, restaurant (café), grocery store, hardware store, and Grange. They also sell gasoline, kerosene, diesel fuel and hunting supplies. One stop shopping with some of the warmest and kindest individuals one can ever meet. I highly recommend both. Each are exceptional. And no, I do not own The Slanesville General Store. And, I am not an employee.

Do's has covered picnic tables and some parking spots in front. We tried the Eliminator sandwich (pulled pork, jalapeños, and bbq sauce) and the Hunky (grilled cheese with pulled pork). They also have brisket and it may be even better than the pork. The Eliminator was good though a little basic (it's just what I wrote), but my wife said it was juicy and delicious. I really liked the Hunky though I'd suggest getting a little bbq sauce with it. Their Mac n cheese and coleslaw sides were both creamy and filling. Prices are very reasonable (only the brisket sandwich is over $10). Swing on by if you're around!
