Sometimes, you just want a sandwich…read more TL:DR - generous, well-constructed sandwiches, meats freshly sliced, and good value. This place is a gem amidst a sea of corporate chain sandwich shops. I was running errands around lunchtime and, feeling peckish, I thought about something to eat. Now I had many more errands, so road food was the order of the day. But how many burgers can you eat? There are even some pretty good independent burger joints, but sometimes, you just want a sandwich. Now, for context, our progeny ate a school lunch maybe a half dozen times, total, throughout their school years. Most of the time, I made lunch, and the centerpiece was the sandwich. Carefully selected meats, fresh veggies, a wide variety of sauces (they can't even eat a roast beef sandwich to this day without a bit of horseradish in there somewhere) were combined with excellent bread. That is what I wanted. That is what I got. The bread choices are white or brown, but that's because the emphasis is on the interiors. The Italiano, with pastrami, salami, and pepperoni, is a classic combination, with provolone, pepperoncini, and "all the fixins" (In response to whether or not I wanted "everything" I replied "Fuck me up, sandwich sensei!") because I firmly believe in allowing the restaurant to present you with their wares, and let you decide if you like them. Now, the-woman-who-lets-me-live-with-her (thanks Mike), cannot stand black olives, but in this sandwich, they provide such a tempering influence of slightly salty, slightly bitter counterpoint to the sweet bell peppers, that it would have been poorer without them. I thought I was only going to eat about half and then save the rest, but I just couldn't help myself. I ate the whole dang thing. The vibe is classic sandwich shop, there is someone at the end of the line freshly slicing more meats as needed while two people turn out submarine deliciousness for an anxious crowd. Do not miss this place, it is a gem.

They were a good size but not quite as large as the ones we get from our usual restaurant. Taste was very good but not quite as good as our usual spot. Price was better than our usual spot though. We tried the different salsas. The hot wasn't as hot as I'd like but it was okay, although a bit too salty in my opinion. The medium was also a bit too salty. The mild had good flavor. Convenience of him being right by work is wonderful. The price is great and the food is good, it's just that our normal spot makes larger burritos, albeit for a slightly higher price. Owner is super friendly. Would probably have again.

The pineapple was a crisp refreshing stand out dark horse. I probably wouldn't have ordered pineapple that was my husband's choice, but it was definitely my favorite. We also tried strawberry, mango, and orange. That is my order of deliciousness as well. I had the California eggs benny, they brought it with gluten free bread. The Benny was on point. The first slice revealed a luscious silky egg yolk. I felt like I needed a drum roll for the most perfect poached eggs! Hats off to the chef! My husband had the steak and eggs, with sourdough toast. I think he licked the plate. The steak was also perfectly pink in the center. My son chose the berry crepes, they were covered in berries. He enjoyed his breakfast. Don't skip out on sausage. We added sausage, the little plump sausages were a great addition to the sweet crepes. My daughter is a little breakfast picky, but their fruit bowl was impressive. She loved that the fruit was sweet and the presentation was standing up. We also ordered the corn chowder from the specialty menu. It was delicious, but lots of food. We took it to go!

Service was nice but it was hard to get things ordered and moving even after seated. This place was understaffed 2. Espresso drinks were not that good. I had coffee bean residual in my latte 3. The fried chicken sandwich was a major letdown. It was so dry and chewy Again, service was friendly but the food/coffee quality plus the long wait time was a bummer
