Jeff came out and explained the product was defective and if we gave them some time they would make it right and they did! I can't say enough about the second crew that came in to take the old stuff and install the new Mohawk flooring. They were careful and professional. Yes it took a little longer and we were inconvenienced again living 2 weeks without floors but effort was to make it right and we appreciate that. It's been about a month and the new floors look great. I never had any experience with stealing as some reviews mention and again dealt with two different crews. We always want to support local. We're appreciative that the company didn't shy away from responsibility and made sure that customer service was paramount.

He also guarantees his flooring and installation and stands by his warranty. I had a horrible experience with a previous painting contractor posing as a flooring expert and got totally bamboozled. Octavio allowed me to tell him every step of the way what was going on during that contractor's installation process and informed me of what the worker was doing wrong and what he wasn't doing that he was supposed to do to prep the concrete and install the floor properly. I have learned so much about this industry from Octavio and will never make the same mistake again of hiring an independent contractor to do an expensive job. I am having my entire house redone by Creative Flooring this time because if you go with a company and their installers the work is guaranteed. Don't waste your time trying to get it done cheaply by an independent contractor, they will disappear when there are installation problems or blame you. You aren't protected if there are issues. I've had that experience with independent painters and flooring guys. Go with a company who stands by their product and installation! You may pay more initially for quality flooring and licensed installers, but you will save money in the long run by not having to keep paying people to come out to fix problems! During the original installation in 2017, the floating-floor product we selected reportedly had manufacturing or fit issues, and we were advised to switch to a glue-down product. Before proceeding, we specifically raised concerns regarding installation over our concrete slab and an existing crack. Following preparation work on the slab, including filling the crack, we were assured that the slab condition was acceptable and that the crack would not become visible through the flooring. After approximately three years, the flooring began experiencing issues including crack showing, plank separation, and lifting. We contacted Franey's in 2021 regarding these concerns and met with a representative. We were told that nothing would be done regarding the crack and that we should call back if the loose planks became a "trip hazard." In September 2025, we again contacted Franey's. During that visit, a handheld moisture meter was used to check for possible moisture conditions. The company ultimately attributed the issues to foundation and moisture conditions and declined responsibility. We requested documentation related to the moisture readings, including recorded measurements and calibration information for the meter used. We were later informed that no formal report, recorded measurements, or calibration documentation existed. We made multiple efforts to resolve the matter directly and professionally, including reviewing the company's proposal and providing several counterproposals, including repair options, prorated replacement proposals, customer installation options, and refund requests. Although the current owner was willing to communicate, we were ultimately unable to reach a resolution. One statement from the company that particularly stood out to us was: "Being upset or disappointed after the fact, is buyer's remorse..." This review reflects our personal experience with the project and the subsequent handling of the matter.
