A very fine brewery! Their taproom hours however are a narrow window in a given week…read more That doesn't mean that you can't obtain their beer when their taproom is closed. It can be accessed through town festivals.. make sure you know for sure the brewery is participating however. Also you can get their beer in bottles at the Odessa grocery store and at a country club west perhaps a half a mile or so from the grocery store going west. Be sure to also look at their Facebook page to see where they may have other guest taps at other locations as well. The beer I had from Rocky Coulee I really enjoyed! It was their Summer Lite beer which was indeed light and had a good breadiness feature to it in which I always enjoy! After looking at the brewery's Untapped page on the app I see that there are indeed other intriguing beers I'd like to try at another opportunity!

I really enjoyed savoring it. The bad... I ordered the Germany dog. Which was yummy in itself. Did not like the flavor of the sauerkraut. ( and I love sauerkraut). It was not sour like fermented sour, but very bitter to me. Not to my liking. The potato salad was unique. I liked it. Not very large portion though so a brat and small potato salad left me a bit underwhelmed. The ambiance was nice, not very busy for a Saturday evening. Friends said that was unusual. We had a nice visit at the large high seated round table. Plenty of room. They had a guy singing. While for me made it hard to chat, it was a nice atmosphere

MAD COW REVIEWS: 45 DEGREES…read more Listen up, herd. Mad Cow has wandered into 45 Degrees in Spokane Valley multiple times now, and I feel obligated to report my findings: This place is udderly fantastic. Yes, I know I'm a bull. No, I don't have udders. Don't ruin the joke. 45 Degrees is one of those hidden little Spokane Valley watering holes that you almost don't want to tell people about because then everybody will show up and take your favorite spot at the trough. But I'm telling you anyway. THE BEER: Fabulous. They craft their own beer, and you can tell somebody actually gives a damn about what's going into the glass. There's attention to detail here. This isn't "pour something fizzy in a pint glass and slap a clever name on it" beer. Mad Cow takes his grazing seriously. He takes his beer even more seriously. THE OWNER: Incredible host. Every time I've been in, I've felt welcomed. He's friendly, involved, and clearly cares about the people walking through his door. That's becoming increasingly rare, and it's a big part of what makes this place work. THE FOOD: Yep, there's grub. They have appetizers, they're actually GOOD, and they pair perfectly with sitting around having a beer and absolutely nowhere important to be for the next hour. But here's what I like most about 45 Degrees: The herd. The people I've met here are just good people. It's mellow. It's fun. It's welcoming. Nobody seems particularly interested in who you are, what you do, or whether you arrived in a $90,000 truck or rode in on a tractor. Pull up a chair. Have a beer. Join the herd. That's the vibe. It's tucked a little out of the way, which is probably why more people don't know about it yet. Personally, I think Spokane Valley needs to fix that. So Mad Cow is officially letting the secret out of the barn: Go find 45 Degrees. Have an appetizer. Try the beer. Meet the owner. Talk to the people sitting next to you. Just don't take Mad Cow's seat. There WILL be a stampede. MAD COW RATING: 5 HOOVES UP. Yes, cows only have four. It's that good.

I have had Big Barn Brewing a couple of different times now. The location where they are seems like…read morea fairly large facility in Mead which is north of Spokane. There are lots of signs where you can purchase and pick berries. At the brewery itself it lives up to it's namesake as the brewery is in a barn. One side of the brewery is a stage and a fair amount of outdoor seating while on the other side is a sizeable parking lot which is good as this brings in a lot of people it seems. The inside of the barn is nice and roomy like a lot of these barn breweries are and even though it was busy it was spacious where everyone had some space. But now onto the beer! The Black Dog Stout was one of the three beers we had. This was a good, solid stout. It had coffee elements and sweetness in the flavor profile. The beer was smooth and creamy which is how a good stout should be as well as the hue which is nice and dark. The following beer really put us in a quandary as to which of the remaining two would be our favorite. The Bailar Con Maiz was the next beer we had and we were just thrilled to have it. Of course I am very partial to Mexican Lagers this one was excellent and one of the best ones I had in recent memory. This beer is malty, corn flavor, smooth and light bodied. The final beer was also excellent and I think had a slight edge over the Mexican Lager as it was so different and good. The Mead Honey Lager was the next one and it was so good and so unique! It had that mead essence going on due to the honey. The beer is sweet if that isn't obvious because of the Honey but not too much and has a dry flavor features at play. Also this beer is smooth and light bodied. The three beers we had we really enjoyed and hope to try out more Big Barn beer options in the future!
