With Godard Oviedo what you see is what you get and they practice what they preach. Aside from the personal narratives of the people who recommended it I witnessed with my own eyes when we were on tour how caring the staff is of each and every child including the director Scott who picked up a kid who seemed visibly upset when we passed by him and comforted him as if it were his own child. The ladies at the front desk know each kid and parent and treat them with concern and affection. They are always kind and cheerful. Since my toddler began going there I have seen drastic improvement in areas of language, creativity, fine motor skills, and most importantly sleep. She no longer needs to be rocked to sleep. Best part is she also is starting to potty train thanks to her teachers. The love and care for our little ones is obvious and it extends to how well taken care of the facilities are. The location is fairly new and all of the spaces look it. Everything is cleaned and sanitized regularly. They even remain open during Covid and have maintained a standard of health. The one thing parents should know is that they do not serve lunch here but you can opt into a catered meal service. They also don't have a a microwave so the kids lunch has to be shelf or temp stable from early morning drop off until the afternoon. They do not have cameras in the classrooms for parents to log into but you do get pictures and sometimes videos throughout the day in an app and you get a daily report.

We had her at another Oviedo daycare for a month and it was a mess and often left us questioning if she was safe. Once we switched to Starchild we were relieved to finally find a great place for our child. Like many large daycares Starchild has separate rooms for each age group, usually broken up in 1 year increments. A lead teacher is provided for each room and a core group of support staff are assigned to the same room everyday. Everyone in the infant room is extremely caring for our child, treating her almost as if she was the only one in the room. The student to teacher ratio is very good and it seems like the staff is able to take care of every child all of the time, not an easy feat. One of the best parts about Starchild is their goal not only to watch and care for the children, but to actually teach them and help them develop. Each class has a curriculum that they follow everyday to keep the kids growing. I had to stop by this morning to take my little one to a doctors appointment and the whole class was having their daily sign-language lesson. Sure this is the infant room, but the fact that they have structured learning in sign-language, Spanish, and Japanese each day helps the children focus on learning. We have never had an issue with our daughter being changed or fed enough, actually, they have aired on the side of caution and even changed he outfit if they thought she was a little too dirty. The last thing I would say is that the price is reasonable. Daycare is not cheap, but considering we are paying only 10 dollars more a week than we did at the "bad daycare", this place is a steal. We have recommended Starchild Academy to our friends with little ones whether they are in Oviedo or not. Keep up the good work!
