It was our top choice from the very beginning, and although we had to spend some time on the waitlist, it was absolutely worth it. Once our son turned one, we finally got a spot. We've been thrilled ever since. The teachers are incredible, friendly, attentive, and truly passionate about what they do. The curriculum is a great balance between learning and play. Also, they provide nutritious meals and snacks, which makes our lives so much easier. The daycare also hosts events throughout the year that are always fun and thoughtfully planned -- it really feels like a community. And now, we are super excited that Baby No. 2 is officially off the waitlist and will be joining soon! We couldn't ask for a better environment for our children to grow, learn, and be loved.

With Godard Oviedo what you see is what you get and they practice what they preach. Aside from the personal narratives of the people who recommended it I witnessed with my own eyes when we were on tour how caring the staff is of each and every child including the director Scott who picked up a kid who seemed visibly upset when we passed by him and comforted him as if it were his own child. The ladies at the front desk know each kid and parent and treat them with concern and affection. They are always kind and cheerful. Since my toddler began going there I have seen drastic improvement in areas of language, creativity, fine motor skills, and most importantly sleep. She no longer needs to be rocked to sleep. Best part is she also is starting to potty train thanks to her teachers. The love and care for our little ones is obvious and it extends to how well taken care of the facilities are. The location is fairly new and all of the spaces look it. Everything is cleaned and sanitized regularly. They even remain open during Covid and have maintained a standard of health. The one thing parents should know is that they do not serve lunch here but you can opt into a catered meal service. They also don't have a a microwave so the kids lunch has to be shelf or temp stable from early morning drop off until the afternoon. They do not have cameras in the classrooms for parents to log into but you do get pictures and sometimes videos throughout the day in an app and you get a daily report.

Background - baby No. 1 started at TLE with the previous owners and was there for 9 months. Mr. William and his team took over about 1 month before baby No. 1 moved to a daycare closer to home. In that short month, we had already seen an improvement with the change of ownership. I can't say enough about how much this daycare has improved since the new owners took over. The difference is night and day. Mr. William was very welcoming the moment we reached out about baby No. 2. It was like we had never left. They make you feel like family. I love that they decorate for the holidays. This year baby No. 2 got a little gift for Easter that was age appropriate. It's clear that Mr. William and his team have brought a real passion for early childhood education and a commitment to excellence.

They have much healthier and quality food options, than I have seen everywhere (not unprocessed/ packaged food). My son had a particularly hard time at a previous daycare. He had daily behavioral issues, would try to escape, and all around just seemed maybe bored/ unhappy. Here he is like a whole other person. They've even been taking the time, to help get him potty trained; so, he can move up in classes where he should be. He says good morning, hi, bye, have a good day, and hugs everyone in his class when he leaves and gets to school. They are just truly great with them and are doing wonderful things with these kiddos! Would absolutely highly recommend this place!

Come to find out (after several emails requesting to know more about their request for a SECOND assessment), they are very critical of your child. Preschool Director Betsey Vallery states in her email to me: "[Student] was very interested in the items in our classroom and such a sweet little boy. He did have difficulty following teacher one-step instructions and redirection. For example, when the teacher called [Student] to small group to draw, he ran around the carpet area. The teacher came alongside him and told him to please use his walking feet and modeled her walking feet. This gentle redirection is usually very successful as it's 1:1 in this assessment setting, but he continued to run." [Student] had just turned four only three days prior to the assessment. He's extremely responsive with adult direction, and I find this commentary completely inappropriate. As a former teacher myself, this is not even something that should be a concern. In addition, she states that [Student] didn't know how to write name, draw a self portrait, count to 10 or identify shapes, all of which he's been able to do for more than a year. I wasn't there in the assessment, but I do wonder about the effectiveness of the teacher to inspire participation. I felt that this was not an age-appropriate Pre-K. They want students that already know what they need to know for kindergarten so they don't have to do their jobs in teaching them.

But, if you have a child like mine, who tried his best to make all the right choices everyday, but was not always successful, just know the director will not make big accommodations for your child, but she will make sure your tuition check gets cashed every week. We were enrolled in this Kindercare location for approximately 6 months before we removed him. He was 4 and a half when he started, and we paid the full-time tuition cost, plus the full-time cost of tuition for his infant sister. The infant room teachers were great, of course. But the transition with rest of the staff did not come easy. Our son's teacher could not physically keep up with any of the kids. She was grossly overweight with bad knees. She was sitting and yelling at the children most of the time when we saw her. The director is also an old woman who probably should've retired years ago. She has a very troubled adult son, and she had no problem sharing details about his life with us, seemingly comparing our son to her own. As the months dragged on, we had meetings with her, and I would get phone calls at least 2 or 3 times a week because this seemingly "experienced" teaching staff could not handle my child's meltdowns. Like they've never had a child meltdown before? They couldn't have put him in a safe spot by himself until he cooled down? It got to the point where the director told me what time I needed to drop him off in the morning because she had to have certain teachers available. I didn't realize this director was my new boss to dictate my work schedule as well. But they also told me on certain days I would need to pick him up if they were having an inspection and they did not want him there. But they still had no problem collecting my check every week, with no payment adjustment if I did need to pick him up early for their own personal reasons. Near the end of our 6 months it felt like no one was trying to include him in any activities with the rest of the kids anymore. He would tell us he was by himself all day, or next to the large, loud teacher most of the time. Most of his behavior issues boiled down how tired he got during the day and he would cry and yell in frustration over small things, and he kicked the chairs in the classroom. According to the director, this behavior was enough for two "teachers" to allegedly quit because of my 4 year old. The cherry on top from his teacher was the day of VPK graduation, and she told me he had a rough day. So much so, she wasn't sure that he should even be allowed to join the ceremony with the rest of his classmates. That took me by such surprise, the class practiced their ceremony, they had robes, everything, and this woman told me a few hours before that she didn't think he should be allowed to join in. What was supposed to be a happy day, made me so upset leading up to when we chose to come anyway. But the nail in the coffin came during the summer session when the director told us in an in-person conversation that she was "waiting for all the kids in his class to turn 5 before they went on a field trip." Great, we thought - he will love to go on his first field trip. She even sent out a reminder in the app of the "vpk field trip." The day before the field trip she told us our son would not be allowed to go, even though we consented to it. She did not trust him on a bus. He was singled out for her own personal fears of what he "might" do to jeopardize the safety of others. She had no real way of knowing that our child or any other child would obey basic safety rules, but those kids were allowed to go. When I finally expressed all of my frustrations with her through email, that same afternoon she decided to embarrass herself and my family by yelling at us (with other families around) in the school parking lot. She essentially told us what bad parents we are and if he did go on the field trip and something did happen, she would call the Department of Children and Families. This behavior by her was enough to send me over the edge to report her to her higher management and dis -enroll our kids as soon as possible. I'm shocked she's still there. She started sweet, but deep down she is not a good person to families that might have it a little tougher than some. Of all people, she should have understood.

The children were left to find their own work with little guidance and the teacher indicated that it was going out of her way to have any one-on-one time with the students. They have no regular communication with the parents and the owner is very confused by the concept of parent-teacher meetings. The owner also shows no concern for the well-being of the children, only the happiness of certain families.

Parent orientation was the first clue. This event was both unsocialable and uninformative. On the first day a girl told her child that his water bottle was ugly, and this girl continued to bully him all year. The teacher and administration were fully aware of what was going on and did nothing to stop it. Issues like this surfaced on a regular basis. Personally, I thought that he should be removed from the school when I found out about a lawsuit that had been filed against the school, and the school losing the lawsuit. Tuskawilla Montessori lost the lawsuit because they were inadequately supervising several of the younger children, leading to an incident in which the parents sought legal advice and decided to sue. I would definitely not trust this school to oversee young children. Even though my sister had concerns about this school throughout the year, she tried to make things go smoothly, but there was such a lack of communication from both the owner and between the owner and teachers. According to the teachers everything was always great, but the owner seemed to be persuaded by others and had it in her head that her child was not a "good fit" for the school. However, the owner never communicated any of this until days before school was over. This school has horrible communication, is not able to ensure the safety of their children, and has no regular parent-teacher meetings, which should probably include the owner since she thinks she knows the children more than people who are actually with the child every day. Overall, this school does not put the needs and safety of the children first.
