We decided to tour Monarch and were impressed with how many teachers they have had for so long still working there. We decided to enroll my son. And it has been the best decision for him. And we have discovered experience matters. At Monarch the entire staff is always smiling. Always coming up with so many different activities! My son now loves school and looks forward to going each and every day! I would highly recommend Monarch Academy. You will not regret it. They are simply the best!

The curriculum is top notch. The teachers, owners and staff are incredible. Both my children loved going to Monarch and were very well cared for. They loved all the teachers, many of whom have been there for the entire time we have been. That alone says a lot about the business. The owners are present every day and very involved. It truly has a family feel. My kids were both MORE than ready for Kindergarten and my daughters teacher even commented to me, that all the kids she has ever had from Monarch are more than prepared. Without hesitation I recommend Monarch Children's Academy.

WARNING: DO NOT ENROLL YOUR CHILD HERE…read more This was the worst daycare experience of my life. The director is rude, unprofessional, and lacks empathy -- especially disturbing since I enrolled my 3-year-old daughter, a cancer survivor, who requires special care. She came home hungry, with rashes, and staff turnover was constant. When I voiced concerns, they were ignored. After contacting corporate, I experienced daily harassment from the director, including retaliatory late fees and payment pressure. I was NEVER notified my daughter's health forms were expired -- only told 21 days later she couldn't return. When I questioned it, I was told, "That's not my problem." After threatening legal action, they suddenly became "compassionate." Too late. Two other parents withdrew their children too. Protect your babies. This place is NOT safe or professional. Definitely not worth the price! #LaPetiteAcademy #DaycareReview #Retaliation #Discrimination #ProtectOurChildren

I'm a first time mom and even I know the dangers of having a newborn sleep on his stomach. Their explanation for why they placed him to sleep that way was because he was fussy. Of course he will be fussy on his first day away from his parents! That doesn't mean risk his safety! I was so afraid he was going to be dead when they finally pick him up after I yelled at them. That fear is now instilled in me and I have trouble trusting anybody to watch my baby without severe anxiety. Then It took a month of constant calls to the corporate headquarters to get a refund.

The staff is friendly and the kids enjoy the facility. Classrooms are spacious, teachers are engaged and there's a good balance of work and play. There's also a play village with an enclosed climbing structure, a climbing wall, a dance zone, make believe area and more! And the outside area is a large, secure play space that the kids just love. Special should out to VPK teachers Ms. Shiela and Ms. Dora for being amazing with the kids and supporting their growth and development while keeping things fun! Also, shout out to Latoria at the front desk!

Ms. Hunsha has introduced so many cultures and ways of the world to every single student, which will surely benefit them as they continue their development. She is helping to cultivate acceptance, inclusion and positivity amongst the entire class. My husband and I also love the way that she nurtures each child and meets them where they are individually. Our soon to be 5 year old loves science and quite often gets to engage in fun and educational science experiments, tapping into an area of learning girls can sometimes be excluded from. Our daughter was already reading when she started VPK but, together, with Ms Hunsha we have see her reading level increase to that of a second grader. And to further reinforce what she is learning, Ms. Hunsha has her read to her classmates. That action alone is building confidence, how to present in front of others and a host of other important and necessary skills for a well rounded child and adult. Ms Hunsha creates an environment that is welcoming, enjoyable, curious and safe for students. She commands respect with a loving hand and they all absolutely adore her. I could go on and on about how wonderful we think she is and how much of a blessing she has been. Thank you Ms. Hunsha! Our family will forever be grateful to you and for the exciting world of learning that you have opened up for our baby!

It is a rustic, outdoorsy camp, no cell phones allowed here! Camp Mah-Kah-Wee is a Girl Scout camp. They offer programs throughout they year for girls and have overnight camps during the summer. I have been to Mah-Kah-Wee many times over the years with my daughters, and I really appreciate that we have a facility like this so close to home. The camp surrounds a lake so there are many water activities like canoeing and kayaking available during the summer. There is also a swimming pool. They offer all of the standard camp activities like archery and crafts and they also have an obstacle course. My kids love this place. During the summer the week-long camps are themed so you can find something to match your child's interests. As for the facilities, the best place to stay is in the cabins. They have air conditioning! In Florida you NEED air conditioning in the summer. I've also chaperoned overnights in the tents, which aren't so bad, and a building they call the Eco Center, which is a bit more like a enclosed porch... no AC there. Overall, it's a great place. I highly recommend it. The prices for overnight camp are very good and the kids have a great time.
