I normally don't leave negative reviews, but after my recent experience, I feel it's important to…read moreshare for other parents. (This is not about the teachers at all. The teachers are absolutely phenomenal.) I had reached out to the Jeannette, the owner with a very respectful message regarding my 3-year-old son who is educationally delayed, simply asking that he be spoken to gently when corrected. I explained that he's sensitive and doesn't respond well to being yelled at (regardless of the "facts" my child and another child told me she had raised her voice with my child and I explained how I handle things at home with MY child since all children are different), and my note was polite and understanding -- I even acknowledged how stressful their job can be, and even thanked her at the end of my message for all they do here. The response I received was incredibly unprofessional and dismissive, her response shows where her priorities stand with the concerns of parents and their children. She thinks just because she has experience that there is no room to grow and be a compassionate human being with a parent who's trusting their whole world in her hands. Instead of addressing my concerns as a parent, I was told not to "school or teach" Jeannettee, accused of not having my facts straight, and even told that "maybe this isn't the school for you." If she cared for my son even a little bit, that wouldn't have been a part of her response at all. That type of tone is completely unacceptable, especially when a parent is just advocating for their child's emotional needs. It seems her pride was hurt during my message and she retaliated so absolutely disgustingly. She said someone should have notified me, well no one did. She talked down on me like she's better than anyone else. This situation showed me that communication and compassion are not priorities for the owner of the school who is the example and face of this school. If an administrator reacts this way to a calm, concerned parent, I can only imagine how they respond to others behind closed doors, and even the children that attend. On a separate occasion I was given a paper by my sons speech therapist and was told to give it to the school so they can see what we are working on and to ensure it's being followed as well as giving tips. (Reminding you, he was still fairly new at this school) and instead of reassuring me that they will do it, she once again became defensive and said they already do that and I should be doing this at home. Her attitude is absolutely horrible. My son deserves an environment where he's nurtured, not one where parents are made to feel like they're a problem for speaking up. I've chosen to withdraw him since she didn't care enough about my child to come to a resolution or even explain what happened kindly and was so quick to say my son shouldn't be there. *SHE DOES NOT CARE ABOUT WHAT YOU SAY, SHE WILL DO WHAT SHE WANTS REGARDLESS OF WHATS BEST FOR YOUR CHILD AS LONG AS SHE THINKS ITS WITHIN HER "30" YEARS OF EXPERIENCE. Our children should not be put in categories. They are individuals. THIS: is who you're sending your children to. I will make sure everyone knows her demeanor and priorities. I have screenshots posted on their google reviews.

My son has now been at Friends for almost a year and I can tell you that he has thrived. Prior to…read morehim attending Friends he attended two preschools (both very high end--think Prim and Star). The last one was Prim and it was nice but it was expensive and the teacher turn over was great. I also felt it was too large for a young child to thrive. The one prior was Star and that was way too structured, crowded and my son was injured due to lack of supervision (to the point of an emergency room). I had to wait to get into Friends. My son entered during summer camp and then has continued thru the traditional school year. I LOVE the small family environment. There are four rooms, the doors are open, children interact and the teachers are amazing. My son loves his teacher Mrs. Rosario. I asked who was the nicest teacher and he said all of them. He is learning and you can see the growth each day. The teacher student ratio is small, the kids are all well behaved, they teach Christian values (but the student population is diverse) and most importantly, I know my son is in good hands. It is individually owned and not a franchise. Mrs. Friend is the owner and teaches. If you can get your child in, I believe you will find a great environment for your child.

The curriculum is both challenging and exciting and a year ahead of other schools. The teachers are engaging and nurturing. Over the years, I've been pleasantly surprised to see my children motivated and excited about their assignments. Learning is an adventure for them. At Sweetwater Episcopal Academy, each Wednesday morning, all the students of the school meet at the chapel for service and to discuss the events of the week. During the service, Sweetwater Episcopal Academy acknowledges students for their contributions to the community and kindness to their fellow classmates. Those Students come to the front of the chapel and the story of their kind actions is announced by the head of school, as fellow students cheer them on. It is very inspiring. Parents are welcome to participate in all chapel services. Sweetwater Episcopal Academy invites prospective parents to chapel service in a program called "Welcome Wednesdays." I encourage you to drop by at 8:30 on Wednesday and see for yourself.

They teach to each child's academic level and when students finish at Sweetwater, they are typically academic leaders in their new school. Sweetwater is a hidden gem, smaller then a lot of private schools yet on point from an academic standpoint.

This will be the 3rd franchised Ladybird academy my daughter has attended (hopefully the last). By far this is the best one ! It's only day two but so much good in the past two days has transpired, I was moved to write this review. I just FEEL more at ease with my daughter at this facility . The director Jena and Kelly (I believe are their names)were so warm and inviting . I love the ORGANIZED ACADEMIC STRUCTURE that is enforced here . How good and wipes are covered How saftey guidelines are truly enforced . The teachers engaged with the children and are not lazy . As advertised by the company . This isn't just daycare for her it's school. I've had a rough time moving my daughter with an immense amount of guilt for working my 12 hr shift 5days a week work schedule . I'm so thankful for the staff making this transition easy for my daughter and I . She hasn't even cries during this change. I will do an updated review in a month .

She does not care about your well being. I have some health issues and have documentation of being out of work, and even with that documentation she fired me. She is very rude and does not care about anything or anyone, you can't even call out without having a very very good reason and even at that she still doesn't let you call out. She picks favorites, and those favorites get to do what they want when they want.
