However I do go to their international Mall massage team as often as I can to get my massage tune up. The team is excellent it's the best 15 min massage you can get they are friendly helpful and know what they are doing. The staff was great. Sandy was my therapist, I told him I like a lot of pressure and he did a great job at smoothing out my knots. I felt so relaxed almost fell asleep! This was a disaster from Day 1 when I made my appointment three weeks prior. I found a deal on Groupon for a deep tissue massage and called the spa to ask if they would honor the Groupon price. They did, so I booked my appointment with Zunilda. They said they would be sending me a consent form to fill out BEFORE my appointment. The form was never received. I had to call back twice before they realized they had the wrong email address. I returned it by email. They confirmed my appointment three times in three weeks, so I presumed they were organized and professional. Boy was I wrong ! Come appointment day. I walked in 15 minutes early and was asked twice if I had sent in the consent form. Yes and yes. They sat me in a waiting room when I was called by someone other than Zunilda. The person was a male and I had SPECIFICALLY requested a woman for personal reasons. After all the back and forth with the receptionist, she said that MEMBERS RECEIVE PRIORITY and that they change the masseuse when necessary. What an unprofessional response ! After being vaccinated against COVID-19 last month and waiting a year for a massage, I WAS EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED to say the least. I guess their offer of honoring the Groupon price has no ETHICS NOR INTEGRITY in this establishment. read more

I bought a groupon for a facial and a couples massage. So far I received my facial and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I have my couples massaged scheduled in a couple weeks and I'm sure it will be just as amazing. From the moment you walk in you're offered water and they sit you down in a dim more comfortable room, then you're taken to your room and the lady asks you for your concerns. My favorite part about this establishment is that they don't force the monthly memberships on you, I was told about it by the person in the front desk but they didn't push it on me or made me feel uncomfortable. Also, I didn't have a problem with scheduling. I called in two separate occasions to schedule my two separate appointments and I rapidly got connected to someone who helped me out. read more

I redeemed my Groupon for a 60 min massage and honestly, I was pleasantly surprised by the service. I've gotten plenty of massages before but this one hit it out of the ballpark on their first try. My masseuse was Zuni and she asked me what areas I wanted her to work on and degree of firmness and she followed my instruction consistently throughout. I did not feel like she was rushing it at all, she spent a consistent amount of time on everything and the whole experience was incredibly relaxing. I will definitely go back and request Zuni in the future. 5 out of 5 for her. I think the only thing that has some room for improvement may be the front end. I felt a little rushed through and when I left, the receptionist told me how much it would be next time and when I agreed to it and if we could make an appt he just said, you can just call. I thought that was kind of disappointing given the person is ready to schedule. Other than that, it was a smooth and satisfying experience! Will be back in the near future!! Very disappointed with this Spa. I'd gifted a couple's massage voucher for my parents and I almost couldn't believe the bad experience they had. They'd signed in and gone to the waiting area so they could be called in for their massage, only to find out,after waiting for a while, that another couple had been called in under their names! Is the level of due diligence so low here that they're unwilling to at least confirm the identity of the people who they're about to massage? To make matters worse, my parents were on a bit of a time crunch that day so it's not like they could just wait around all day for another slot to open up. My husband purchased a Groupon for me here earlier this month and when I had made the initial appt on 9/18 I arrived only to be told that I was early and my appt was almost an hour later. When I showed the receptionist the confirmation email she said they had probably moved my time because the masseuse wasn't available at that time. I received no email no phone call nothing to notify me of this change and I did not live by there. I told her I had to go to work and couldn't wait an extra hour so we rescheduled for today, 9/25. I should have taken it as a sign last week not to come back. I should start by saying I did not make a scene when i left and tried to leave as soon as possible. I do not know my masseuses name, although now reading the comments it's safe to say it's probably Ismael? He was incredibly friendly and touchy on certain areas and weird stretching of the legs that I think were inappropriate as it included opening my legs when I'm literally in just underwear and a barely there blanket he laid on the table. I am sure I put in both registration forms from last Friday and this Friday that I did not want rough but medium. His exact words: "I know I'm rough but it's for your own good" and "if you're body hurts from what I'm doing to you then you need a mechanic not a massage cause you're made of metal. That is 100% unprofessional and incredibly predatory to say to someone. Also, he started off the massage by saying he's never had any problems with people but some people are "difficult" Should have immediately taken that as a red flag I came in for a relaxing massage, but none of that was relaxing I felt more tense than when I left; no lights were dim (which I'm a little grateful for considering how touchy he was) and feel like I was made to feel bad for not wanting a rough massage. He even blamed my extra back fat for the reason my back hurts. Then when it was time to pay, he came and stood by the register almost as if waiting to see if i tip or not. I did. I'm embarrassed to say. Because I felt cornered and extremely uncomfortable when he came back in. Groupon had great reviews but I should have read on google as well because I am seeing now this is not the first complaint of not receiving the service offered and being touchy feely. Overall; will not be coming back and will not recommend to a single person. Especially with that man working there. Completely unacceptable that they've receive this complain multiple times and he is still there. Updated* I was contacted by a representative as you can see below. Apparently anything that makes you uncomfortable at the end of a massage is null and void since it wasn't stopped within the first 15 min and the only time to complain is when you're there not on this platform that is used specifically to inform other patrons of your experience. Since it can ruin their image. Also, I would like to edit that my therapist was not Ismael (as someone here also had an issue with him being handsy and I assumed it was the same person) it was Carlos so there are two inappropriate therapists. Terrible service!! The staff were obviously lacking in training, I spoke with 4 staff members and they all sound very young, very lost and unprofessional. First call: tried to schedule appointment and the first girl was looking at the system for 30minutes. I waited patiently but she just left mid-way and another girl took over. I had to explain my preference for the session all over and she took another 10 mins but told me the appointment is *tentatively* on next Friday 3.15pm. She said it means she may drop my appointment but will definitely give me a call before doing so if that happens. 2 days before the session, I received a text message. This is what it reads: "The Mark Spa - West Miami: Reply Yes to confirm your appt on Fri 8/13/21 at 7:15 PM. Reply R to request reschedule. STOP = end msgs (305) 907-3799A 20 dollars fee will be charged if the appointment is not cancelled or rescheduled within 24 hours" I felt very confused because my appointment is at 3.15pm, not 7.15pm. I did not receive any missed calls, messages or voicemails about the change. I called them many times but nobody picked up. The next day, I called them again. This time round I spoke to a young man. When he was talking to me, he started mumbling & he said he was just talking to himself. He said that my appointment at 3.15pm was dropped and the system did not allow him to shift the appointment if he didn't change the timing to 7.15pm, that's why I received the text. I said, ok. 7.15pm is fine then. He then replied, "oh no, we are closed at 7pm." So, basically, if I had not called them and just showed up to the timing they sent in the text, I would have wasted my time commuting there! This is totally unacceptable, to add on; there was a remark saying there will be $20 no-show charge. This is totally absurd! This young man said he booked a tentative (again) booking for me at 6pm and will call me back today to confirm. He never did. I received a call from another girl later who had not idea about the call I had with the young man. She then said there is no slot available on Friday and she don't know about the 6pm tentative booking. (Speechless) This whole experience was very unprofessional to say the least. I bought a Groupon for a couples massage for a mom and daughter Day. When I called, they had no weekend availability for months. Also when booking it for a weekday, it came to light that my daughter had to be 18. I mentioned that the fine print in Groupon, did not say age restrictions, as other places do 16+ as my daughter is 17. She rudely said they didn't have to mention age, so if I hadn't mentioned it then she would have been refused there? It's been years since I've gotten a facial and today I decided to go into The Marks Spa to get a facial I bought from Groupon, and my goodness. My skin has never felt better. I walk in and not only it's the set up serene, calming, and clean, but May ( the owner) who works on my facial is so kind and does a great job. She layered my face with soothing cleansers then proceeded with the microdermabrasion. 10/10 WILL come back!!! read more

Booked a massage as a gift and unfortunately was given a male masseuse named Ismael who was way too friendly. The massage was good beside the extra touchy feely on the rear end area however there was also noise on the other side of the wall which sounded like dog barking the entire time which was annoying. The aroma therapy was nothing special than just taking a couple of deep breaths out of the palm of someone's hand.. for the price I guess it was good but I will not ever do business here or recommend this place to anyone I know. The Spa honored the Groupon (some places give you a hard time, but they were really great about it) and all that I needed to pay was the tip. The spa was very clean and there was water and cookies in the lobby. The massage therapists were both really nice and were good at communicating during the process. Never coming to this place again. I purchased two couples massages (one for myself and another for my best friend for her birthday). I did not receive a full massage which is what I paid for, meanwhile my best friend did. They probably didn't know we are friends. They went as far as telling me that it's because of covid restrictions. We were wearing masks the entire time. In addition, my massage therapist hurt my back and would not stop. He was cracking it without my permission and was very rough. He claimed he studied Chinese medicine for 25 yrs and how he knows better. I literally had to scream at him to stop touching my spine. Unfortunately Mark Spa is not a place to do any sort of contract, we did a contract right prior to COVID hitting us and we are still paying 100 a month, no exceptions are being done. We are older and will not risk getting infected. We gave one session to the kids and they said one of the message therapist did not have a mask during message. I will never again go or do any contract with this place, a waste of 1 year and 1,200. During these times they should consider there clients more... If there was a less rating I would have given one. Do not go to this location. I've had two appointments with them that have been canceled. The first one I arrived to the location and waited for my therapist when I was told she had an emergency and there was no one else available I had to go home. This time around nobody called me to advice me the same issue occurred where no one was available and I missed a day of work for the appointment. When you do get someone and you say you have a Groupon they are booked for months so you can't get an appointment. They'll tell you to call the location in international mall that is just as unprofessional and then that location will tell you they do not accept Groupons for another location. Lovely atmosphere, feels peaceful as soon as you walk in. They put you in a "waiting area" where you start relaxing. The massage itself was spectacular. My masseuse knew exactly how to make me feel better. I felt amazing after my massage. It was so good I even bought the membership.. $45 a month including a massage and salt therapy?? That is a steal! You can even pass on your massage to someone if you don't want it that month or choose a facial instead. read more
