I am…read morenot an easy dude to please, mind you, and have stated on more than one occasion that without my hair i am nothing but a plain man who writes really insightful reviews on Yelp full of digression, excessive use of drama, and downright self importance. Did i mention digression? Rachelle moved to Salon Studioss after parting ways with Soho Salon near John's Creek. Personally the closer she gets to ATL the better so i welcome the change. Her space is cozy and has all the things you and I need at a salon - product, hair dryer, dye, sink - and none of the stuff we don't - idle gossip, drama, and an overabundance of sass. I'm here to be made beautiful. I don't need 1200 square feet for that. Rachelle's space is one of the better "suites" I'd imagine because one of her 4 walls is the exterior window. There's plenty of natural light and she can play music or turn on the flat screen while you're getting those highlights she does so well. My haircuts from Rachelle have always been consistent and high quality. She's never been distracted and forgotten to do something or messed something up. She's always patient with me when i say "i could go shorter" (and i do it often), and she's truly genuinely happy to have my business. She also never takes shortcuts to get me cut quicker. And I'm her brother in law. Just think what she'll do for you! I don't have to go to Rachelle to get my haircut just 'cause she married my bro. I pass 2 dozen great salons while i drive through downtown, then through Buckhead, then through Sandy Springs and on up to Holcomb Bridge. I burn a quarter tank of gas just to get my hair cut right and the way i like it, and cut that way every time. If you live in the area I'd highly recommend giving Rachelle a call. Her color is as consistent as her cuts, she uses only the highest quality products, and her space is quick and convenient, even allowing you to book online using Schedulicity, which is easy to use and as convenient as it comes. Her prices are also very fair and in line with the value of her services (and her peers). Another bonus - Salon Studios is chock full of all kinds of beauty folks, from facials to waxing and more. You could potentially wipe out all of your beautification rituals under in roof.

The first time, I got some jewel tones on my face framing pieces and they were BEAUTIFUL. Overall, it is always a treat coming here to get my hair done by her, and she is so sweet and caring, and we always have good conversations! I was greeted warmly by the owner, Roza, and you guys, she did WORK on my hair. Revived it if anything! I came in for one last balayage, one last attempt to get it right - I was on the verge of going back to black. Completely over it at this point. Not only did Roza save my hair but she provided wine and water, as well as **genuine conversation. She was so passionate about the work she does and I loved talking to her about it. I am thrilled and delighted with my hair!…read more I had a medium warm brown base color with a lot of highlights ranging from Auburn to strawberry blonde. I really did not like the color or the highlights and wanted to move to a deeper color with face framing chunky highlights. I thought my hair looked orangey or brassy, and I want to get rid of that brassiness. I had recently colored my hair and had a GK Keratin treatment so I wanted to find a GK provider and have color work done without making my hair dry or so brittle that it would break. That was definitely a risk with having more color done so soon. I was lucky to have a next day appointment with Christina, the owner of the salon. She took her time with me on the phone the day before, and even asked me to send her photos of my "inspiration" for the look I wanted to achieve. I sent her photos of my current hair, some inspiration photos for what I wanted to achieve, and a couple of extra photos so that she understood my personality and what would work in a professional environment and get the edgy enough for my outgoing and adventurous personality. SHE NAILED IT!!! I am absolutely thrilled with how my hair looks. She did corrective color and not only took the unwanted highlights out of the crown portion of my hair, but she also added gorgeous, vibrant, deep ruby highlights at the temples and around the nape of my neck so that when my hair moves, that gorgeous ruby color shines through the deep brunette/Auburn base color she put on the crown of my hair. We finished with a GK bombshell Keratin treatment. Although I normally go for a much less expensive treatment where I cannot wash my hair or bend it or put it up for three days, I wanted to be able to quickly wash and style my hair as well as the absolute best possible color lock and hair strengthening treatment. I knew that having corrective color and the GK bombshell treatment would be a significant financial investment. I was delighted to make that investment because for a week I had woken up and looked in the mirror and not like the way I looked from the color of my hair to have a change the tone of my skin to help my make up wouldn't work anymore with the color I had. Since Christina gave me the gorgeous color, edgy highlights, and style that works both in a professional corporate setting as well as let's my adventurous side shine through, I wake up every day to stunning color and super soft, shiny hair. Kristina even gave me a free styling by adding some waves with a curling iron so that I could really see those ruby highlights shining through. It has taken me a week to write this review because I have been waiting for the sun to appear again so that I can show some of that gorgeous color. These photos just don't do it justice so I will try to add more when the sun comes back to Georgia! Let me emphasize that what I wanted for color was very specific and had to fit a lot of criteria and Kristina listened carefully and gave me the color and the style I was looking for. That is no easy feat! Having a stylist who can use the most modern techniques to give you not only a classic style, but color pop that will work both in the office and for special occasions is a must for me. The service starts with a formal assessment of your scalp and a microscopic lens for better observation. Then it continues on with a warming eye mask and aromatherapy. Then Ana begins with a light face mask and shoulder massage then detoxifies then washes then conditions your hair. All the while you get incense and aromatherapy and a mixture of hot stone massages and scrubs and several scalp treatments like gua sha, red light therapy, hair combing etc. Possibly the most relaxing experience I have ever had. Ana is incredible. Not only is she incredibly gifted at being an aesthetician she's also in school to be a nurse so her approach is very focused on your wellbeing with a scientific basis. The room is incredible with stars and a moon lighting with aromatherapy and relaxing music. It all ends with a blow dry and she does a great job. It's not a blowout blow dry but I don't think my hair has ever felt this soft. Times are 10am-5pm but it's based on appointments so times will be blocked out for appointments. I've been going to Chieko for probably over 10 years now (between different salons in Georgia). One…read moreof the reasons I've put off writing this review is because I don't think I could ever find the words to express how much this place means to me. But here is my very overdue attempt! It is truly difficult to come by hairdressers like Chieko. She is incredibly detail-oriented and has a skilled eye for finding the right hairstyle "fit" for you. She's simply so talented at what she does, and I know I can trust her with my hair 100%. I've seen Chieko for straight perms, curly perms, and a multitude of trims/haircuts over the years - all of which have left me a happy customer :). In the past decade, I've previously tried to get quick trims here and there from other hairstylists around Georgia, but I've always regretted it and wished I went to Chieko instead (and sometimes even would follow-up with an appointment with her to fix my hair back up ^^). Nowadays, I always "joke" with her that if she moved halfway across the world, I'd fly over there just to get my haircut from her (I don't think I'm actually joking, though!) Additionally, both Okko and Chieko (sisters, for those who don't know) are so sweet and always provide the best customer service. I always see the results of Okko on other customers are just as spectacular as those of Chieko as well. Okko commented that she was trained in Japan for 3 years, and worked in LA for 10, but she seemed so humble about her talents, which was great! Well I have the perfect suggestion for you. Go to Ulta Salon in Alpharetta across from Northpoint Mall. There was a time when I would go to other salons and waste whole days getting my hair done because the greedy hairdresser overbooked clients. There was also a time when I spent $100 every six to ten weeks to get my hair done, but those days are also over. For $75, I get trimmed ends and my relaxer retouched at Ulta. Not to mention, I have an Ulta rewards card so the more I spend, the more benefits, deals and discounts I receive. With professional stylists and exceptional service, Ulta's the place to go. Typically I can get in and out in less than two and a half hours. Honestly Ulta has something for everyone. So I woke up on Monday and called around trying to book two last minute appointments for haircuts, this would prove to be a task of tedious proportions....I called Ulta hoping they would be able to....YAY! They had two appts at 10 and 11....mind you I called at 9:14...so we showed up a few minutes late and Lydia met us at the chair with a smile and even called after us running a few minutes late to make sure we were still coming. So I sit down and Lydia is very patient and walks me through my wants and desires, offers her own suggestions and what she thinks is best for my hair. I'm not a super picky person when it comes to my hair, as long as it's longer then the norm these days and doesn't look like a three year old took a pair of Fiskers to it, I'm good! Once she starts cutting your hair she walks you through each step and explains what she is doing so you feel like you have a part in the whole process. She isn't scissor happy so you don't panic when your hair is being cut....girls you know what I mean. My hair looks great and so does my sisters....thanks Lydia! She's my new go to stylist.
