This place really is a hidden gem. Gorgeous interior with lots of tables. You can't work here on a laptop, they were pretty strict about that but you could draw on an iPad so lots of things you could do solo. The staff was lovely, cute servers are always a plus. I ordered a guava matcha with coconut water which was recommend and definitely incredible, one of the best matcha's I've had so far this year. It's not sweet which I prefer and there is a subtle guava taste. I also ordered the sourdough toast with the berry compote and it was unique, again not sweet like a jam but very refreshing with a generous side of butter. Would totally come back again to read or catch up with a friend.

It was nice to come try this spot out and glad I did. One of the nicest baristas I have met and what a cozy, zen feeling coffee shop this is. I only came in here as I was on a waiting list for a table for the place across the street. So, if I was not on a waiting list and got a seat right away I would have never came here. I am sure alot people do what I did especially on very cold or very hot days as there are not alot of other places to wait in. Anyways, I had one of their seasonal drinks it was an iced latte with hints of spices and maple. It was called a Maple Spiced iced latte. If I am in the area again I would come by here again.

Service: 4.5/5 Food: 4.7/5 Price: $5-15 While it's a popular co-working café (nearly everyone was working), I didn't find it an ideal spot. Seating options benefitted solo + small groups, only exception is the 1 large communal table. No outlets in sight + only half the space allowed for laptops. Somewhat loud music (old-school, jazzy piano) helped set a cozy, festive vibe. Better suited for catch-ups + decompressing activities like reading or offline working. Gotta take a moment to highlight their impressive bathroom: semi-fancy toilet, Aesop soap, incense + an extra private baby-changing room. What I Ordered: - Black Sesame Matcha Latte (iced): sweetened + quite fragrant, slightly darker green (probably from the black sesame), nutty flavor

So little time, so matcha to do in New York! Experience (4/5 stars): *Drinks: we got the regular espresso tonic and matcha strawberry tonic. Both were light and refreshing especially on a hot day! *Price: ~$6.5 Overall, I'd come back here for more drinks!

I stopped in for a matcha and it had a nice flavor. Small pastry case. Nice indoor seating space and nice restroom. Please come and create your own adventure.

Lots to love about the Mandarin Cafe in Chinatown. It's absolutely beautiful and visually is one of my favorite places. Their strawberry matcha is really solid and they use pretty good quality matcha, which was on the more bitter side for me but was sweetened (not too sweet) by the strawberry puree. They also have a selection of pastries and have a no-laptop policy on the weekends (but you can use your ipad or phone). Great place to catch up with a friend or two, or just catch a beat in the middle of the day. Lots of East Asian influence, though not sure this place is owned by people from the community. However, this neighborhood could definitely use more business. It's also near Banh By Lauren, so check that place out while you're down here! The bathroom, as the rest of the place, was beautifully decorated. The window brings in a lot of natural light. There is communal seating as well as small tables for you to post up at. The staff were nice, too. Would definitely come back and try some more of their items! Wishing this place luck.

Beautiful coffeeshop located downtown near Chinatown in East Broadway. It was a trek but worth it to see. I came here in August with a friend on a sunny afternoon and it was gorgeous inside with the classic cafe drinks. We both had iced coffees, I tried their espresso tonic. It was great on a hot late summer afternoon. The coffeeshop has a lot of seating with fashionable people taking photos and chatting inside. It wasn't noisy at all though. The bathroom is also beautiful, designed for a hotel. A definite gem any true coffee lover should immerse themselves in. Accepts cash, card and Applepay. Bathroom available. Good for working. Wifi available. Drink up!

This is a nice coffee bar that looks and feels like a lounge. Nice iced latte I got. Tasted so creamy and smooth! They got a nice bathroom with a velvet wall! So eclectic! The server was really nice and friendly. She was all smiles and brought my cup of iced latte to my table.

It was pretty packed on a Saturday morning. They only had one staff working for a while until the second person came. The latte was good. The place is pretty cozy and chill. I'd come again when I'm in the area.

This is SUCH a cute coffee spot right around the corner from Golden Diner. You go in and immediately feel calm. I was able to get a table in the morning but there isn't much seating. I know they are known for their matcha but we ordered a cortado and green tea. Both were absolute perfection. We also got the salmon toast which was very tasty. Everything together was around $20 which could have been worse for NYC. I can't wait to come back and try their matcha next time.

I love a good matcha latte. My matcha was perfectly blend of earthy and umami. Interior was beautifully designed and staff were really friendly! Great spot for people watching if you are able to grab a seat. No laptops on the weekend and no restroom ):

This small spot in lower Chinatown is trendy and a fun cafe to sit and chat in. The music is upbeat and the vibe is lively. It gets quite crowded so it is sometimes difficult to find a place to sit, but people are constantly coming and leaving. Their iced latte has a punch and is very creamy. The orange juice is refreshing. They have wifi and a bathroom.

i got the pistachio honey hojicha latte, which was absolutely delicious! i couldn't taste the pistachio as much, but you can definitely tell they use high-quality hojicha for their drinks. this is the most gorgeous cafe i've been to in nyc and one of my new favorite cafes in nyc -- will definitely be adding this to my regular rotation!

The latte was solid (they use Sey beans) and while the matcha was good quality, it had too much milk.

The Jeju Green Tangerine Matcha honestly just tastes like a tangerine selter drink but in the best way, because I don't typically enjoy seltzer or carbonated beverages. I really enjoy the flavor and the carbonation isn't too strong, probably because I brought it home to drink. I don't really taste the matcha but I would definitely still order this again. 2. Matcha Einspanner. This is my first time having an Einspanner so I have no idea what I was expecting but this is DELICIOUS. It's so silky and smooth and the TASTE is just right up my alley. The matcha is light but you can still taste it. Absolutely, would drink this all the time if I could. 3. Purple Sweet Potato Latte. This. This. Omg, why haven't I tried this sooner?! The first sip and initial taste, I almost tasted nothing, just milk. And then all of a sudden, there's an explosion of flavor in your mouth. As a sweet potato lover, I was in heaven. I have absolutely no words for this drink, just try it. 100/10 recommend. This is probably my favorite one out of the 3 that I bought. I went around ... 2:45PM on a Friday and most of the seats were taken, if I remember correctly. There were a decent amount of seats and the space was decent. I liked the minimal aesthetic they had for the design of the interior. Not to forget, the staff at the register was absolutely wonderful, she answered all my questions, she's so sweet. I think I'm disappointed that I haven't tried this place sooner. Y'all get out of your comfort zone and try the Purple Sweet Potato Latte !! Or if not, just try this place out. I will definitely be recommending the Purple Sweet Potato Latte to all my family and friends.

While it was a fun and unique drink, I probably should have opted for something else. The topping was literally like actual tiramisu rather than just tiramisu flavoring, and it felt like there was more ice and tiramisu than latte. Personally, I would have preferred more of the tiramisu flavor without the full tiramisu texture mixed into the drink. That said, it was an interesting concept and I'm glad I tried it. I'd definitely be open to coming back and trying another latte on a future visit.

I probably never leave reviews in general, especially negative ones, but this experience was so…read moreegregious that I honestly felt like I had to say something. I've worked in restaurants and bars long enough to understand that staff drinking happens, but this was on another level entirely. I came in with a group of friends and one of the bartenders, Will, was so visibly drunk that it made the entire experience uncomfortable. Slurred speech, wobbling behind the bar, taking orders while chewing food with his mouth open -- it was honestly embarrassing to watch. He looked like he absolutely did not want to be there. At one point, my group had been trying to get his attention for another round for quite a while while he stood around talking with coworkers. We then watched staff take a shot together, and when he finally came over he burped mid-conversation and literally had whatever he had just been drinking dribbling down his neckbeard. That was the moment where the whole thing went from unprofessional to just gross. What made it worse was that it didn't seem isolated to one employee. Throughout the night we watched staff openly taking shots and drinking behind the bar like it was a house party instead of a business. There's a difference between bar culture and complete lack of professionalism, and this crossed that line hard. One of the friends I was with actually frequents the DUMBO location and said that the last time she was there, the same bartender also seemed intoxicated, which makes this feel less like a bad night and more like an ongoing issue. The DUMBO location itself is in an amazing spot, which makes it even more disappointing. But ownership seriously needs to get control of what's going on there before someone gets hurt or the place develops a reputation for having drunk staff on the clock. Unfortunately, the experience was uncomfortable enough that my girlfriends and I won't be coming back. I genuinely hope the employee mentioned gets help if this is a regular thing, because nobody should be working service in that condition.
